Asda Shipley have clearly focussed on profit. All tills are now customer operated. I had some connection with the staff on the till, but no more. No consideration for old or disabled, or even people who just like to connect with others on the tills and in the queue. Either no one actually interacting with customers there is NO customer service. Also the points system no longer works as everyone else has reported.
I did a click and collect order 3rd August, there was major delays with it no fault of the workers, after contact with customer service my order was cancelled and I reordered and went at allocated time 7.40pm and again there was a wait but I didn’t complain speaking to two of the male Asda colleagues they explained the situation and I was ok to wait they did my order as soon as they could. They unfortunately suffered abuse at the hands of the Uber drivers and some customers. It’s not their fault if there is /was an issue and shortage of staff what can they do? One of the colleagues was supposed to finish at 4pm and went above and beyond to get peoples orders out they all did. For my patience they were kind enough to give me a voucher which I didn’t expect. Thank you!!! I hope you are all recognised for your hard work especially the two male colleagues
What a joke! My shopping should of been here between 4.30 pm & 5.30pm , it’s now 10.45 pm and still no delivery. paid for express delivery yet I’m still waiting at this time of night for my shopping to be deliverd, I’m disgusted with the service & annoyed
We visited Asda today to buy a few groceries, including two small bottles of alcohol. There were four of us: myself, my two siblings (who are twins and both over the age of 18), and my 12-year-old daughter. When we reached the checkout, the staff member, manjula, asked for ID. My siblings and I all provided valid identification without any issue. However, my 12-year-old daughter was not carrying ID, as she is only 12 years old and, like most children her age, does not have any reason to carry identification. We asked manjula why she was requesting ID from a 12-year-old. She told us that she believed we might be purchasing the alcohol as a proxy for my daughter. At no point did we suggest, imply, or give any indication whatsoever that the alcohol was intended for her. Despite all of the adults proving they were over 18, she refused to complete the sale. We then asked to speak to a manager, only to be told there wasn’t one available. Instead, a supervisor came over. Rather than assessing the situation objectively, the supervisor simply supported the original decision, seemingly because they did not want to undermine their colleague. It was clear from their expression that they recognised how unreasonable the situation appeared, yet they continued to justify the refusal to serve us based on the lack of ID from a 12-year-old child. Rather than continue arguing, we abandoned the alcohol purchase altogether and bought only the rest of our shopping. This experience was frustrating, embarrassing, and completely disproportionate. I fully support Challenge 25 and responsible retailing of alcohol, but applying it to a 12-year-old child with no evidence whatsoever of a proxy sale is absurd. The assumption that we were buying alcohol for a child, without any basis, was unfair and insulting. This was a very disappointing experience, and I hope Asda provides better guidance and training so that staff can apply the policy with common sense rather than making baseless assumptions that leave genuine customers feeling embarrassed and unfairly treated.
Terrible, the app must be the worse out there. The rewards is some kind of joke. I used to spend hundreds on my shopping as I had a blue light rewards, now it’s absolutely no point. I scanned the rewards card, must have spent around £400, and it gave me 0.53p in return I’m not going back
I went in to purchase some wine and the advert stated by any four get the cheapest bottle free. When I got to the checkout this wasn't the case and I had to pay the full price. I went to customer services and went to the wine aisle with her. At first she thought I was correct but then noticed that in tiny writing which most people wouldn't be able to read it stated that it was only available on bottles with yellow stickers. Why is this not pointed out where it's clear for everyone to see. It just comes across as a con. I will never shop there again. There points system is also appalling.
Asda rewards was the best at one point. But now is terrible no point even scanning the app. Tesco & Sainsbury's is better
Every time I order groceries online, my regulars are missing from the basket meaning I end up having to shop for all my essentials in store. They also substitute items for poorer quality i.e. andrex replaced with own brand but still charged same price. They also don’t tell you when they’re on the way, unlike Tesco who text and call to alert you. I’m going back to Tesco who can deliver a far superior service and products with barely any substitutes.
They didn’t give me what I ordered even though it was on the app that it was available the driver didn’t have the products on his van I am not happy with the service and I also couldn’t get through to the store manager
The Lowestoft pharmacy branch is useless, some days not open because pharmacist not shown up and other times staff just watch from hatch laughing and chatting rather than serve
You don’t get rewards. You cannot email them YOU have to phone them. They have no idea what’s gone wrong and offer you rewards that’s less than you would have earned. No wonder Asda is in trouble when it treats it customers like 💩. Try Aldi or Sainsbury’s to do your shopping, no problems there and cheaper also !
Zero stars review again Owlcoats Pudsey store, been called"love" unacceptable as it's unprofessional and belittling. Rewards app removed 39p with a condescending message that can't be changed into a voucher. With a condescending message about regularly turn these into voucher when the minimum amount is a £1 so unable to be done. Not only that there hasn't been in suitable missions to do. With less star products to earn a reward cash pot with. I went in to look around Cruzcampo Sevilla Orange Flavoured Beer a stand I tried a bit didn't taste any orange in it at all at £4.50 wouldn't buy at all. Was told it was brought out for summer a complete lie from information gathered While heavily marketed for summer barbecues and warm-weather drinking, the beer rolled out year-round starting in March 2026 across major supermarkets such as ASDA Groceries. Bought discounted bread especially as the rewards app has removed 39p that I had so nil now. Got called "love" by the shop assistant it's unacceptable and it's unprofessional. It's not been friendly at all even with a "thank you" that doesn't mean anything from these two women that I dealt with.
When I place an order the items are in stock. Several times when preparing the order the items are shown out of stock while on the web site they are still shown in stock. Asda management need through examination of their head.
Why is your chicken breast so chewy when cooked this is the last I buy it?
Bought a pack of Ultra Absorbent Training Pads from Asda. On the pack they claimed Tear Resistant amongst other things. Pup tore into it. Eat the pad. Got a blockage in the intestine. Had to have emergency medical treatment. £3,500 bill to save pups life. Reached out to this company for help. Response was very poor. NO HELP. No sympathy. Reported to trading standards. Very poor company. Do not by any of their Pet products. If a negative star could be given I would gladly give it.
Always stock not available and especially special promotions, what's the point in having offers on items if not in stock ?? Worked in Teacos for 25 years, maybe should look at that stock control routines!! No shallow trolleys ever available and not always at busier times. Aware no control over prices but maybe encourage shoppers to shop there if items are available and more shallow trolleys would help, shallow controls helps the customer not to purchase so much but would make purchases !!! Better continously offers Asda rewards again would encourage shoppers to go there and purchase more maybe !! Better incentives!!! Shoppers are more careful with where they buy, Stock availability will always help alot !!!!
Asda service station on jack mills way Crewe consistently has our of use and blue pumps. This in turn forces you to queue with the lorries. This is pants. I don't want as blue in a tub as you can never be sure it's still good and it's not environmentally friendly when there's a pump dispenser. I've reported this many times over a six month period and the conclusion I have come to is the staff and management don't care. Can Asda/Esso sort this out once and for àll please
Asda rewards has problems! We had a voucher for 5p per litre off fuel and it failed to scan at self serve pumps. Staff in Asda said they couldn’t do anything about it. 🤷♀️
Half the things never turn up. Their head of operations needs to be replaced. Shop Ocado instead, never have this problem there.
