Stops working after Software update
Within 6 months, the phone stopped working after a software update. The device no longer recognized the SIM card. I contacted Back Market and they offered to repair the device. I insisted on a replacement, and after several emails, Back Market agreed to replace the device. I unfortunately let the matter drop. When I restarted the process, I am still within the one-year warranty, Back Market ignored my email, and requires me instead to start the entire claim online, with a repair only. UPDATE: As I noted in my original email, I am now required to restart the entire return process rather than pick up on the original return process that was started months ago.

Cost-effective Upgrade
The phone was in excellent condition as advertised. It arrived promptly and the data transfer and activation were simple. The trade-in instructions were also easy and clear to follow.

This company doesn’t care about its customers
Do not ever buy from this company - go to a company that directly refurbishes their products. Back market is like Facebook marketplace. They won’t take accountability for their shoddy products. I’ve had to fight tooth and nail to get a refund of a phone with a camera with dead pixels. I had to send it back to them twice and took over two months to finally get a refund. Do not waste your time and money with this trash company.

Horrible
Horrible, avoid them at all cost. I sent a professionally wrapped mint condition PS4 Pro with all cables and two controllers as referred by Sony Corp for a trade in for $153, After chatting back and forth about, i said no and send it back and they tossed it in an empty box with incorrect power cable that doesn't fit it and missing both controllers, came back all scuffed up too. then they tell me its standard protocol... What the HELL?

DO NOT BUY FROM BACK MARKET
If there was a negative star, I’d give a 3 negative . DO NOT BUY ANY ITEM HERE . Not disgruntled, just feel tricked as k was advised buying refurbished I would have a full warranty . My item, within 40 days began to defect . Not in a mild way but inoperable way which is ok, especially when a warranty is offered. Buying refurbished your chancing this possibility . The problem is, there no cellular company in the USA that warranty’s a phone by requesting the consumer to send the phone in and being left with no replacement which the company decided if the item they are aware can possibly be defective is in fact defective . Often phones are used for work purposes and being without isn’t an option . Short story shorter, I had the choice of being without and hanging my phone assessed or dealing with a defective phone as best I can until I can afford to buy a brand new. I was forced to keep and bare with the defect and am very disappointed . I will not buy here again and in the future as I recommend using refurbished to help the environment , I will veriify specifics of the wants prior too

Needed to upgrade after 7 years
Needed to upgrade from my iPhone 11, because apples IoS was acting stupid, so after 7 years I decided to take the plunge into a newer piece of technology. Backmarket succeeded in making the process easier and affordable! I chose the iPhone 15 Pro fair condition and within 2 days I had my new phone. The phone arrived in pristine condition, and transferring my data was seamless via the cloud. I am in the process now of getting some money back for my old iPhone 11, which Backmarket also initiated the trade in. Not only do I get some money, but it doesn’t end up in a landfill. That’s great!
