First I did call with the sales team and they are good and supportive , once completed payment they stopped my account with no reasons !!!!
Support team replied too late and nothing solved.
So they interrupted my business service and wasted my money and time !!

MORE BUGS than a cockroach festival! Just paid $500/yr to discover that half the formatting options HAVE ISSUES!!! Can't change colors, center items, links to manage authors are WRONG, etc...
Also had to discover my social links were NOT even in the footer. Oh... you have to setup your website and enter them IN THERE TOO. Huh???
Crap architecture design.
It takes 5 days to setup a template - after all the helpdesk tix I have to submit.
It's like a high school-level project for a website.
I mean seriously - this is a company worth millions of $$$??? I'd be embarrassed.

On July 1, 2026, beehiiv hosted a free webinar titled “Growing on Social Media,” led by Conor Gallagher, Community Manager at beehiiv, and presented by Chi Thukral, a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and experienced marketing leader.

The platform itself is probably great but that isnt enough to keep your users around long enough for your website builder to be usable
The platform itself is probably great. The website builder is not.
I've spent over two months trying to build a landing page and still can't get it done. There are thousands of complaints online saying the same thing, so I know it isn't just me. I've been ready to launch my newsletter and bring my 265k audience over to Beehiiv, and the builder is the one thing standing in my way.
I tried hiring designers who know the platform and got quoted $5,000 and up, like it's a full custom website. That alone tells you how painful this thing is to work with.
The AI builder doesn't help either. It spits out some of the worst vibe-coded slop I've seen. Now, I will admit that I don't want a boring template and need more complex things to make it truly stand out so the complexity of my design ideas is about 10% self-inflicted. But for a company this size, building something that looks good shouldn't feel impossible.

Spent a whole day setting up my newsletter to realize they want ID verification to use the API. Why on earth do I need to provide government documents to run a newsletter? Im not even doing anything wrong but why would I want to do that? You already verified my email and my cell phone number now you want my ID? what a waste of my time.

Account restricted after I paid for the Scale plan, now won’t refund me
Just signed up for the scale plan costing $49, the next day they restricted my account and asked me to send them identification including my LinkedIn profile in order to prove I was a human. I told them to refund me instead, as the signup process before taking payment didn’t mention providing this level of detail. Installed without my consent, they downgraded my account. I asked for a refund (only one day of my 30 days subscription had an Ella. before taking payment didn’t mention providing this level of detail. Great overall, the monetization is hard to nail down, and you need quite a bit of volume to really get traction from it, but if you have the ability to grow and focus heavily on this project, there is a lot of potential.

I use beehiive as a freelance ghostwriter for multiple businesses and the UX/UI is super clean and easy to use for all levels of writers/creators. My other fav features are the MCP and the webinars. This has helped us scale the businesses with so much faster and expand the community while getting deeper insights about what drives them.

Beehiiv felt like a natural progression from Substack and Medium. I'm only 2 months into my newsletter, and the options just keep rolling out. I'm actually impressed with the amount of things this one platform allows you to do, from the many ways to monetize, selling your services (unfortunately, I needed to go one more plan up to do that) to now creating a podcast, it's really the all-in-one site. If I didn't already have a site, I would have gone with this. My only gripe is it's not as intuitive as you'd hope, and because they keep rolling out new stuff, things get moved around often. But my experience with support has been good. Own your stuff and use beehiiv.

I feel baited because Beehiiv doesn't clearly mark what features are part of their Pro plan or not. So I just wasted so much time building custom email templates with automations only to find out that I cannot publish them without upgrading to Pro. It would have been nice to know early on that these features are not available BEFORE wasting my time. This turned me off so much that I decided to forego launching my newsletter with Beehiiv altogether. It feels like a money grab and very dishonest. Plus, their email templates and tools are not very intuitive. The customization options are clunky at best, and quite honestly, I've had better customization options with a free MailChimp account.

Haven't written my first newsletter, and I'm already a big fan!
I've known about Beehiiv for a while and noticed several newsletters I receive use it, but only recently considered it for my business.
I initially thought it was just another newsletter platform, but I was amazed to discover the incredible range of features and tools it offers, waaaaay beyond a simple newsletter!
While all the features and benefits are phenomenal, navigating a new platform always has a learning curve and can be challenging and frustrating. However, what truly sets Beehiiv apart is the amazing live webinars hosted by their awesome Community Manager, Conor.
Being able to attend these regular events, ask questions, and get real-time answers is an "over the top" UX experience. I haven't even written my first newsletter, and I'm already a big fan!
