Camping World aka AWFUL
Note: One Star was given because zero wasn't an option.
Camping World, specifically Kodak TN location, is the WORST possible service facility in any industry. The salesman dropped the ball several times following our purchase. There were numerous issues with the BRAND NEW RV and the Service Department at CW Kodak is, for lack of a better description, completely and totally inept and to make matters worse they don't seem to care that the service they provide is terrible. They blame EVERYTHING on the manufacturer and warranty issues and take zero accountability. Failure to return a simple voicemail message isn't the fault of the manufacturer. Overall, the experience with the entire Camping World (Kodak, TN) has been 100% awful. At this point they are bordering on a lawsuit for breach of contract because they are not providing (any) timely service on simple warranty issues. I can't recommend enough to steer clear of this company.

Service at it’s worse
Well, first of all the first thing went wrong is ,I called a month ahead of time and made an appointment. When I arrive for that appointment, they had no clue who I was and I even called back mid month to make sure they understood what kind of vehicle I had. After talking about the trailer brake assembly package with a manager that they brought down from on top of the hill and discussed what was going to be install in our camper. we decided on a Bluetooth model and a seven pin plug adapter that we need to upgrade from my four pin. I already owned that part. They quoted me a price of $1100 to cut six wires, run one small fuse connector and a hot wire after returning to get my vehicle. They charge me $1000 total to do this of this three hours worth of labor at $190 an hour. something that somebody that was skilled could do in a half hour .when I looked at the quality of work that they did they just used wire connectors they put no seal coat over the top of it so it can get moisture now more than likely It will last only a year before I’ll have to repair it. Very disgusted with camper world and will never ever take another vehicle there as long as I live. Oh by the way, the Lady service manager in deforest Wisconsin is very rude. I think she forgets that people and their money keeps their company running .

Was given a Kathy Ireland swivel chair…
Was given a Kathy Ireland swivel chair as a gift. The chair has a 10 year warranty on the vinyl material. The chair has been barely used but the vinyl is peeling. I contacted Camping world asking only for a replacement cover for the seat. I was not asking for a new chair or money back. First they said they don't sell the chair anymore. Which is not true, it is still on their website for sale. Now I am being told they can't help me and I have to go back to the store where purchased. It was a gift, no idea. The foot rest is still in plastic, that's how little it has been used. All I want is a new seat cover, the seat cover zips off. Poor service and does not honor warranty!

Avoid Camping World if you value your credit score.
If I could give Camping World in Roscoe, IL less than one star, I would.
Deal started well enough, price agreed upon, and deposit placed. I have my credit file frozen to keep my 830+ rating safe from the ne'er-do-wells in the world - and it turns out Camping World is one of those. They asked me to unfreeze my credit file *for ten days* so they could run my credit and get financing. After hearing absolutely zero from them for almost a week, I contacted them: "oh, I was off yesterday but you're good to go." So I re-froze my credit file thinking it was done - and after one hard inquiry on my file which dropped my score 11 points.
They said all they needed was proof of insurance prior to closing and delivery, which I immediately provided. Twenty minutes prior to their closing for business on the Friday evening prior to my Saturday closing and delivery (well after 5pm local time), they said "we need the Declarations page from your policy for the bank." This message was given (1) less than 24 hours before scheduled delivery; and (2) without providing the lienholder, interest rate or any information regarding financing other than "you're good to go." I canceled the scheduled delivery because the insurance agency was closed on weekends, and couldn't provide a Decs page without lienholder info. Only then did they provide the bare minimum information: the lienholder name. And suddenly, the Decs page was no longer needed - on Saturday alone I received 4 text messages from Camping World stating they could use what I had, and at least one more again on Sunday. I replied that delivery was off until the Decs page - which they insisted was necessary - was received.
A few days later, my Decs page and insurance information was available, I scanned and sent it to Camping World, and scheduled delivery. They then asked me to reopen my frozen credit file "so the bank could fund the loan." This raised a red flag; I have bought vehicles, homes, and property, and never have I heard of the need for two separate credit checks two weeks apart, and I asked specifically "is this going to be a hard or soft inquiry?" I was assured by Cassie, the General Manager that it was simply a formality and it'd be a soft inquiry (which does not affect a credit score) so I re-opened the freeze for 24 hours. She lied: I checked my credit score the day after, and they had pulled ANOTHER hard inquiry, which dropped my credit score AGAIN by another several points. I will be cancelling the deal, and requesting a refund of my deposit. I'm also seriously considering referring them for deceptive business practices.

Terrible experience
Unsatisfactory encounter. Prospective buyers are encouraged to submit offers, however, the dealership does not entertain anything below the listed price, which has surprisingly increased despite the RV remaining unsold for a considerable period. Moreover, additional charges, such as exorbitant "prep fees," are added on top of the advertised price, excluding essential costs like title and taxes etc... I am grateful for taking the time to review other customers' feedback before committing to a purchase.

Working with Camping World: Best Practices
1) Set a budget - how much do you want to spend on your RV?
2) Collect those funds in cash
3) Wait until winter - then light the cash on fire in a place where you can benefit from the heat
Reasons this is the best way of working with Camping World:
1) you don't have to actually leave the house and visit Camping World to accomplish the same thing (destruction of your cash)
2) you get the added benefit of heat (which is more than you'll get from your RV from Camping World
3) you don't have to ever look (regretfully) at a defective / useless RV sitting in your driveway

Their trailer purchase program is a joke! They reached out to me, requested information and photos, which I provided. They made an offer and asked me to bring it in for inspection, which I did. The agent (Avantae Barrett) told me it would take 2-3 hours. The dealership in La Mirada said it could take 72 hours. After 5 days still nothing. No returned calls, no explanations. Then a single text saying that the "condition" of my trailer doesn't qualify it for purchase and to come pick it up. No explanation, no reasoning, just come get it. Horrible customer service and process.
RUN-Take your camper elsewhere- this place is TERRIBLE-bad service/bad communication/ charge you for work they did not do- GO ELSEWHERE

Service
Bought a new camper ar a show in Pittsburgh went and picked it up in PA 3hrs away in January. It sat in driveway till spring when we tried the ac unit out it wouldn't blow cold air. SO I call campersworld in Akron Ohio that's closer to home and took it there.it took a week to find out it needed a new unit. Then a week later called and they said they half to wait on warranty approval this camper is brand new never been used. Warranty didn't want to cover because didn't buy it at this store.had fight with warranty company finally got approval. Then the said they had to order it which should of been done already.know 3 weeks in finally ordering the part and noo idea when it will be in finally scheduled to get fixed over a month later. All this and it's new would hate to see the battle if it was used.the people in service at Akron campers world are a joke and can never give you a straight answer like they have no idea what they are doing would of gave 0 stars if a option. I will go in any of there stores again

Stop lying to customers
Stop lying to customers, promised to repair or replace several items that needed fixing on a rv, new tires, batteries, windows ect. Payed a deposit 1000$ and drove back 2 days later over 250miles one way and when arrived all the things they were going to do were completly taken off and were going to be added to the price of the rv, not what I was told, then didn't want to come down on the price..plus was told they had 2 other people that had put deposits down on this vehicle so they would just deal with them did not get the deposit we made charged to our account. WE LEFT pretty S -ity, costing me all that time and gas to get there. They will tell you anything but don't stand behind it.

Horrible customer service
Im a GC. I ordered a shower pan. Was given a delivery date. Date came and went. No correspondence from them. When I called, they told me my order was cancelled but couldn't give a reason. This type of unprofessionalism and lack of follow up or communication greatly strained a relationship with my customer and almost cost me the job. Had I not reached out to them, I would've lost a customer.

I purchased a used camper and according to their website (all RV'S have a new mattress installed for peace of mind). My mattress was urine stained and filthy. Not checked or noticed until I got home because of their online claims. There was no spare tire knowing I had a 200 mile trip to get it home.
