Consumer cellular is fantastic!
My husband and I had eight year-old phones and it was time to upgrade. We had spent over 20 years loyal to Verizon. We called them and several other of the big name carriers and were not very impressed with the level of service over the phone. Everything was an upsell and quite expensive. I had visited the consumer cellular store about two years ago in Largo, Florida, and was pleasantly pleased by how I was treated in the store. I called them and the manager was very kind and explained how their prices work. Everything was straightforward. My husband and I went in on a Sunday after church and the two staff were extremely helpful and getting our phones set up and everything switched over. We couldn’t be happier with making a switch.

Wasted time and long term customer
i tried to order a new phone online and the system would not allow me to complete the process as desired. I then call Consumer Cellular for support in order to order a new phone. They informed me that shipping would be XXX dollars. I said NO! I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR YEARS.
I went back online to place order and all went well. Why waste my time. I have been a customer for years.
The item that really hacked me off was that I had to fill out additional information in order to get 2 years of payments. I I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER FOR YEARS.

It took over an hour to be checked in…
It took over an hour to be checked in with Cellular.
I had a TracFone before. I am an older person who has trouble with technology. The person who helped me with Cellular One seemed to be annoyed with me. The three-way call with TracFone was not pleasant either. I switched to Cellular One so I would have better service in my area. It was cheaper with Tracfone, hopes CC will be worth it.
Consumer Cellular is a "great" phone company to do business with!!! I have had Consumer Cellular for more years than I can remember; Also, added my daughter and grand-daughter some years later.
Recently, (This month- August, 2026) I bought a pink cell phone from them for another grand-daughter (she loves her pink phone!
Consumer Cellular have such wonderful representives and customer service staff to help when it's needed and they know their jobs! They are "great"!!!
My family loves Consumer Cellular phone service!!!

My former provider was getting higher…
My former provider was getting higher and higher. I’m retired now and had to cut expenses. Consumer offered a better plan for half the price. My coverage has not changed. As a matter of fact it has gotten better.

Adding a service plan while retaining existing one is not possible
I am an active customer for several months. I am pleased with cost and service purchased. Here is a negative comment" When attempting to buy an additional plan... when completing checkout for an additional service, retaining the Home Phone service intact, the checkout is based upon adding a new phone to existing Home Phone unit. Thus, I cannot purchase an additional plan leaving the existing one in tact. That really is frustrating and they lost a sale... as their system isn't "friendly"... again, all I wish to do is buy an additional plane, leaving existing one in tact. They lost a doubling of my existing monthly revenue. Otherwise, I am pleased with my existing home phone service, wishing I could also purchase cell phone service.. not replace home phone service.

I was supposed to receive my I watch…
I was supposed to receive my I watch this past Tuesday and this is Saturday and UPS still has it stuck in Jacksonville Since last Sunday I called UPS and they said Consumer would have to file a lost tracking. consumer told me that they could not do that and I would have to wait another 10 days before I could request a new I watch. I’m very frustrated at this point I love Consumer cellular been with them for 15 yrs and I realize this isn’t their fault, but I hope if I don’t get it within the 10 days that they can overnight me a watch. I am 70 and needed it to detect any falls And my vitals since I live alone!

The customer service is excellent
