EF set the best plans/schedule. If any part of the scheduled plans changed, the guide was fast to work with EF to get things back on track. The trip was fast moving, packed full of experiences and ran smoothly. Expectations were clearly set and met. Our EF Guide, Clint, and our Teacher Guide, Theresa, made it so smooth there was nothing but time to make memories.

My child had a medical emergency and the help it was not what we expected.
My 15 year old had an awesome experience on the Bell’ Italia tour. He wants to do another EF Tour again. It was a jam packed itinerary. They got to see so much especially Catholic related sites. Breakfast & dinner were included. The food was really good. Hotels were clean, safe & comfortable and had AC. Everything was taken care (logistics, transportation, guided tours, etc). You just have to show up. I would highly recommend an EF Tour
My expectations were exceeded on the Costa Rica Natural Wonders tour. I knew we would get to see some phenomenal views and the students greatly enjoyed the snorkeling, zip lining, wildlife river tour, and seeing the waterfall with the swimming option. I liked the cultural experiences with the zip lining company that included a cooking class and watching pottery being made and the coffee tour. I appreciate our tour director working in a pineapple plantation tour, rain forest night walk, and chocolate plantation tour. There was a great deal of planned tours and events with a good amount of open time to be planned while you are there with or without the assistance of the tour director.

An adventure in Italy and Spain
My child had a fun time visiting Italy and Spain. They were able to see many highlights and experience the different cultures. However, I would recommend quality over quantity. Not enough time to appreciate what they were experiencing. Also, the food for breakfast and dinner was very basic and did not provide authentic cuisine. Breakfast was mostly filled with simple carbs not enough to give them fuel to go for several hours on walking tours. Also the amount of walking during the hot summer was difficult. That needs to be taken into account. More breaks were needed. The schedule was packed tight. Lastly, the tour guide should speak the languages of each country fluently, not just enough to get by. Better communication with all the chaperones and the app should have a more detailed plan for the day ahead layed out the night before with location provided for restaurants etc. There needs to be an alternative for the scavenger hunt for kid's who's WiFi/ Data was not working. My child was unable to finish the scavenger hunt with their group as a result of a bad connection and was scolded by the tour guide. That was not a well executed experience. Overall, my child had some good experiences and exposure to new places.
Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to travel the world with EF! Seeing new cultures firsthand and stepping outside my comfort zone has been an unforgettable experience. For my students, this trip was more than just a vacation; it was a milestone of personal growth that we all will carry with us forever.
My 12 yo son traveled with EF tours to Japan and as a parent I was super scared of him traveling without us. EF tours provided all the reassurance we need when it came to safety, medical, excursions, and their rooming. My son was super excited when he returned, he shared all his experiences and all the new students he met.
We visited Ireland and Scotland. The organization regarding…
The organization regarding transportation, lodging and food was great. I felt some of the things we did were rushed, we had little time to see the Edinburg Castle for example. Also some of the experiences chosen were a bit boring (Epic Museum… a pamphlet about it would have been enough really, nothing there but reading).
I believe the experiences would have been improved if we had been provided tourists maps at every city so we could orient ourselves and decide what to see during free time.
Children were drinking alcohol unsupervised, sneaking out of their rooms in the evening, and participated in water activities after parents were told there were no water activities.
Overall a very positive experience. I personally was also a parent on this trip. My daughter had an amazing time exploring many new adventures and along the way found a new group of friends she had not been that close with before. It was amazing watching her interact and grow in this environment. She gained knowledge, life experience, and confidence.
Everything was well thought out and managed. The hotels were excellent. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. The sights we were booked for were awesome and we really got to see some of the best parts of each country. I particularly enjoyed the riverboat in Luzern and going up Mt Pilatus.
The Bell’ Italia tour far exceeded our expectations. Tour Director & Group Leader took care of everything. We got to see all the highlights in Venice, Florence, Pisa, Assisi and Rome. It was a jam packed itinerary with free time to explore, too. We definitely want to do another EF Tour again. We highly recommend.
Too overbooked the first few days and wasted time scheduling breakfast times. We had a large group around 100 people they should have staggered meals instead of all of us getting to the same place and waiting for 100 people to get food at a buffet place. The second hotel was not big enough to accommodate all of us eating breakfast so much so that we had to implement a schedule of when to eat. Waste of time! Very disappointed in the breakfast options in Tokyo as well. The first hotel had great options. Not enough regular food for 13 year olds to choose from.
We had an excellent tour guide. Well planned itinerary. July 18-July 29
We had an excellent tour guide. Matt Gormann was truly exceptional. We had one stay at a hotel that could definitely have been better, but fortunately we were only there one night. The others were just fine. The itinerary was very well laid out. Omaha Beach and Pointe du Hoc were very moving as was Anne Frank's house. For me, those were the highlights of the trip. Breakfasts at the hotel were ok, but not great, and most of the preplanned evening meals were good. For the most part, well done EF! Audrey was also a great help!
EF Tours makes international travel EASY! As the teacher, I was able to enjoy the tour along with my students, even if a hang up occurred along the way. The expertise of each person affiliated with EF made this just a flawless experience. In addition to that, EF Tours trips are such a great value as you receive such a comprehensive visit to your destination, whether that is because you are traveling from coast to coast in a country, between countries, or a deep immersion to a more specific location.
