Terrible website cost me 50$

Expensive, small and dried my hair out horribly. I was sent a confirmation email about the subscription renewal date and went to log on to cancel, but my subscription was missing from my account. I tried daily to have it show up and finally sent an email (their live chat isn’t and has not been active) to have them cancel it, but they didn’t get back to me until after the renewal and now won’t refund me. Absolutely do not recommend.

Issues with fulfilment / customer service / price hikes

In line with other recent reviews, there seems to be a problem with order fulfilment / customer service right now. Firstly, my regular order usually priced £42 was suddenly £75, without me making any changes to it. This was automatically deducted from account, and included £20 express international shipping which I would never opt into. I immediately cancelled my subscription and emailed customer service asking for an explanation. It's now been several weeks and not only have I not had a response but also the order itself hasn't arrived. I didn't receive any shipping information at the time, so it is difficult to know what the problem is. I have sent another email. As another reviewer commented, their live chat button isn't active, so email seems to be the only option.

My products never arrived!

I have placed an order in the very beginning of October. It is currently mid November. I have hear nothing from them about my order, my products, shipping, nothing but a confirmation email when I paid a decent 100 dollars for a few bottles of soap. I have sent not one, not two, but FOUR emails yet no reply, for around two weeks. They sent a tracking link that doesn’t work and just completely ignore my emails. I am so upset. This is hard earned money, just waisted. So much disrespect. This company is NOT a legitimate one. All of those YouTubers are just sponsors. Function of beauty- I you are reading this, you better get back to me or I will sue. You should be ashamed of yourself

DRY SCALP NO MORE!

I received Function of Beauty as a gift several years ago. I've had issues in the past with a dry scalp. Since using the shampoo and conditioner my scalp has been fine. My hair is hydrated and so is my scalp. I get a really nice shine on my hair too with lots of body.

Unreliable and Frustrating Experience

Function of Beauty's disregard for customer cancellations and unexpected charges have made my experience highly disappointing. Despite multiple attempts to cancel my subscription, I continue to receive products I no longer want after TWO YEARS. Their lack of responsiveness is a serious concern. Think twice before subscribing.

If I could give it zero stars I would. I am highly disappointed with the customer service and the fact that they are taking money out of my account without my permission. I did not update my payment information so they found my PayPal and started taking money out of it when I canceled my subscription. There is no way to get a hold of customer service I have tried email their direct chat isn’t working and they have no phone number. I am highly dissatisfied and will NERVER recommend this company!!!

Had an issue with cancelling my subscription, and an extra order was sent out to me and I was charged. I raised this with customer service and they were amazing with their response and refunded the money. Great!

Products from Function of Beauty have really helped me with issues with my scalp and hair. I also like the fact you can choose the fragrance.

Made my gray hair smooth and manageable

Prior to using Function of Beauty, my hair was course and brittle due to graying. It had also changed to a wavy frizz. After using Function of Beauty for several months, my hair is soft and manageable. I flat iron it every day and it is still very healthy. I liked being able to choose what to put into my shampoo. I really believe that it has strengthened my hair and has made it more manageable. I highly recommend Function of Beauty shampoo and conditioner.

Disappointed

My hair is fine and lacks body. I bought the shampoo and conditioner and a capsule for volume. I first started using the shampoo and conditioner and I was amazed at the condition and shine to my hair. HOWEVER when I added the "volume" capsules to shampoo and conditioner, I wished that I hadn't bothered. My hair is now lank and I cant get any volume at all, it just won't style. It has never been this bad before. So disappointing, I wish I had never added the capsules as without it the shampoo was really good with a lovely perfume. Plus the shampoo was expensive. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem?

Amazing but expensive

Amazing personalised products! I’ve been using function of beauty for over a year now and I love it. My only concern is the ever increasing price, this with the postage cost has made me cancel my subscription. I am very excited to see products are now being sold in boots and can’t wait to try!

Great products, confusing gift policy

I really like my hair products and have been using them for quite some time now. Unfortunately there had been a misunderstanding with my last order. After ordering the hair serum once as a free gift (and to try it out) it was added to my regular shipments automatically which came quite unexpected for me. Because of this unnecessary confusion I had to pay the quite pricy hair serum in one shipment and remove it manually from future shipments.

This is the custom hair product for me

Was using a different custom hair product before and could hardly brush through my hair. Friend was using Function of Beauty and her hair looks amazing. Cost was half as much so decided to give it a go. No regrets and hair is more soft and manageable. Extremely happy ❤️

Very unhelpful over missing delivery.

Very unhelpful when delivery is marked as delivered but hasn't been received. No intention of checking with the courier that was organised at their end. Makes the customer do the investigating and checking, then closes the "ticket" quickly without giving time for the customer to investigate anything. Product is fine. Customer service leaves much to be desired.
