What people say

I hate leaving less than perfect…

I hate leaving less than perfect reviews but I have to this time. This was my first time using Goldstar and everything worked out fine in the end however, I never found tickets in my email as stated. This ultimately made me apprehensive and nervous days before the show, feelings I didn't want to experience at 70 yrs old. I gave 4 stars because customer service was responsive with a confirmation # but still, I never received the emailed tickets.

We did “Get on…our feet”

My husband and I saw “Get on Your Feet,” the story of Gloria and Emilio Esteban. We anticipated enjoying it because of the music, which we loved, and still do love. What we didn’t anticipate was how well their story was told. High production values, great dancing and singing, the two leads were fabulous. High energy and a wonderful time was had by us and by the clapping and stomping by the whole audience. The feeder is wonderful with great sight lines and all of the customer service folks were helpful and friendly. There was one downside of using Goldstar. I purchased the tickets in November and had completely forgotten about the play until just three hours before when I received an email that said reminder: “Get on Your Feet” is coming up. I literally hadn’t remembered and thank goodness. We lived downtown Chicago and didn’t have other plans last night. I looked back in my email and never saw another/earlier reminder. To get a reminder three hours before the show was both a shock and a bit of a stress point as we had to re-jigger things to get there on time. That was our only issue.

Goldstar is now a disappointment

Goldstar used to be a fantastic platform to buy discount tickets to great shows. But this time my purchase was outsourced to TixToday.com. I was told my tickets would be emailed to me from the venue directly about 2 hours before showtime. They never came, not in my junk mail either. I reached out to TixToday.com when I did not receive my tickets and I did not get a response until the following day asking if I had gone to the show after all. Truly disappointing. I’m never buying from Goldstar again

I love this company!

I love this company! I'm able to get discounted tickets for shows I might not otherwise be able to afford and the seats are usually perfect. Although I don't know exactly what seats I will have until I arrive at the theater, I've rarely been disappointed. They are easy to purchase from especially when wanting to add more friends to my group. I highly recommend them.

Who needs dialogue with Synetic's extraordinary talents?

I have read the reviews of Synetic for years and thought I might like to go some day, even though I wasn't sure about the lack of dialogue. I remembered the critics' unreserved praise for their "Romeo and Juliet" and decided I would go if I ever had the chance. Well, it was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. My friend and I loved the set, the sound accompaniment, the acting, the choreography (those amazing fight scenes!) and felt the story was beautifully told from beginning to end. I am a believer in Synetic! I would say that if one is not familiar with the story of R&J, they should read about it before they go - much more enjoyable if you are not having to guess where the plot is going.

A madcross between Mad Magazine and Monty Python.

This spoof of the 39 Steps is a laugh-out-loud cross between Mad Magazine and Monty Python. If you need a good laugh - I mean a really good doubled-up belly laugh, this is the show for you - whether you've seen the Hitchcock version or not. The cast and low tech special effects will have you in their thrall from the get go. So come early, order a cocktail, and enjoy the show.

Such a gem of a service!

I LOVE Goldstar! I check every week to see if there is a new entertainment opportunity available. I've seen some great shows at discount prices, and the process is always very simple. This is such a gem. I wish there were more opportunities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, that's my only complaint.
