What people say

The sales department is unresponsive

The sales department is unresponsive. I purchased tickets for a show that I was unable to attend due to a family situation. I wasn't looking for a refund, I only wished to gift the tickets. Since the tickets are held at Will Call and not e-tickets, I needed to speak to someone to transfer the tickets. I attempted to contact Goldstar several times by phone and email. I never received a response. As a result, I lost nearly $200. A very poor experience.

Higher fees, no digital tickets available

Two reasons for 3 stars: We used to find discounted tickets from a wide variety of local shows with Goldstar. That does not seem to be the case anymore. Selection is now more limited (not much community theater), and prices are not discounted (for any of the shows I have tried to see). Ticket prices are the same as the venue, but I paid more to use Goldstar, due to the higher fees on Goldstar. Second, the email says the tickets will appear in the app the day of the event, but they did not. Fortunately, at Will Call, they printed tickets for us at the venue, but it was stressful. The lady at Will Call said this happens frequently with Goldstar. I used Goldstar many times; we used to get a discount and pick up printed tickets at the venue. I am sad and miss the old Goldstar. This was printed in my email: Mobile Tickets Your tickets will be available at wallet.scfta.org on the day of your performance. Access your tickets using your mobile device and log in with the same user name and password you use when logging in to the website.

Grass Roots worth the money

g his long anecdote.Grass Roots was great but Gary Puckett was disappointing. He told a story that seemed to last forever and did not make much sense. Was very uncomfortable when he was telling More singing would be better. Waited till the very end to sing his hit song.

Alex Edelman’s “Just for Us” @ Mark Taper

Easily procured Goldstar tickets online at terrific price (75% off)… Excellent one-man comedic performance at the Mark Taper Forum, a stellar theater venue… Alex Edelman’s Broadway hit “Just For Us“… Unexpectedly timely insights into antisemitism and tribalism… Smart, funny, compassionate, wise…An engaging first-person true story of a young Jewish man who accidentally finds himself at a living-room meeting of white supremacist Jew haters… replete with suspense, humor, and myriad tangential anecdotes… expertly performed… Soon available on HBO!… Highly recommended!…
