We saw a show at the Goodman Theater, Joe Turner' Come and gone. Was an excellent production. We went on opening night, and this production looked like it had been running for months. I Recommend going to see this show if you get a chance. A must see!
I sent it a service request for a ticket issue and I received and automated email that said they were "busy". I never got a proper response back. I usually do like the events they offer.
What I dislike is when providing one name to pick up tickets. I had to email several times before someone contacted me about changing the name on the tickets. I think that tickets should be emailed instead of putting names on a list. I had an emergency and wasn't sure if I was going to be able to attend. That would have been a problem for the other 5 women that were going. I think that there needs to be a better system with tickets.
Typically I go through Goldstar for all of my theater tickets and have never had a complaint. This time, however, the seats were the worst in the house, (even though we arrived over an hour early.) Several people arrived late and the attendants spent most of the beginning of the show interrupting the experience, having people show their tickets, and moving people. The show itself was excellent and the cast was fantastic. Hopefully, this was just a one-time exception.
The entire experience was good. I've used Goldstar before and have never had a negative experience purchasing or utilizing my tickets. There is always a good selection of events and very good prices. The play, Native Garden was outstanding. There is not a bad seat in the venue, parking was good, and a nice choice at the concession stand.

The performance was impeccable. He is so talented. Every seat in the house is great. At first I was disappointed that we weren't seated so we could see his hands and thought maybe a rotating stage would have been good for us...maybe distracting for him but I loved watching his face when he played... He's amazing
Had a great time at the show. Joe Klocek’s crowd work is so fun. He clocks everything and makes it all memorable. The three young guys in front of me were falling over in laughter at times. The four gentlemen across the aisle looked like they might never go to a better comedy show in their lives. The three comics were fun, edgy and engaging. After each of the 1st two comics performrd, three audience members were chosen (those who put their name in the bowl get chosen randomly). And asked questions to see what they remember from the act. The six game show participants looked like they had the time of their lives. We were all rooting for Mike to come from behind to win the game. Susan’s first time on stage since puberty might be the beginning of her dancing or singing in the future. Marlon, although, “in it to win it”… still had a great time with his panel. The winning speed round went to Evelyn… a well deserved victory. But we all won. Because whenever Joe “clocked” something small.. we all got to feel like we were all seeing the same thing… all connected. All part of a community - the people who want to start the weekend on a Thursday. Disclosure: I’ve known Joe for over 25 years. Went 1st time to Get It as a comp with one of his ex-girlfriends. Back when he lived in Comic Central Apartment on 4th Avenue, I’d see him at Blue Danube and, even then, at 25, he had led an interesting life. He is a premiere emcee - who is both funny and whip smart. This would be a good show to bring a bunch of conference members to… actual entertainment in North Beach. On a Thursday night. Put your names in the hat and create a memory.
Tickets were easy to purchase. The theater ended up cancelling the performance I was supposed to attend, but I was able to reschedule for another night, because the email from Goldstar indicated a "credit" was the only option. Not a refund option. That worked for me but it's something to be aware of.
Tickets were at a great price and good seats. I have used Goldstar for a few years now and love the deals to events that I have been to.
Goldstar offers me great theater options that I would not have encountered otherwise. The shows are also of high caliber and Im grateful for the experience and price point!
I purchased tickets for "Funny Girl" at the Ahmanson. Everything about the process was seamless. I was able to chose my seats. They were great, the show was great, I couldn't be happier!

We thought the ensemble cast was great and the fact that they could play different roles was good. The venue was intimate we were very close up. I didn't like the fact that it didn't start exactly on time. I am a stickler for time.
Performers were good. Forgot I did not like this when Jimmy Stewart did it.
Everything went smooth,parking,entrance & and seating.Instructions given before were helpful.Including free parking announcement.
The event location was way too small for the number of people in attendance. Arriving at 11:30 AM ish, the venue was already crowded thus difficult to see each vendor. Our party left and came back around 1:30 PM and the crowd was even bigger with lines at each station. Needless to say, we probably only saw half the vendors. It was not an enjoyable experience.
