Do not order a kitchen from this company

I ordered a kitchen from IKEA. The delivery date and time slot were sent via text . The delivery arrived at 7.00 in the morning 30 minutes before the time given previously.I received a phone call from Ikea, they stated if I did not get dressed and deal with the delivery immediately they would cancel it. This a very rude and aggressive way to deal with their customers and unnecessary. I have not been given a new delivery date they have not contacted me at all to resolve this matter. Terrible services all round

Delivery service and Tampa location are both trash

I ordered online as the nearest store is 2 hours away (Tampa) and the last time I went I encountered so many rude employees who clearly do not care about helping customers. I have been multiple times and the place has declined in the past year. Perhaps new Managment. For this reason I ordered online. My delivery was set to arrive yesterday and never did. Thankfully I could track it and it arrived today but the delivery driver threw my package on the floor damaging multiple items inside. I have completely lost trust in IKEA both in my nearest store and now online.

IKEA decide that no warranty can be allowed to the bed

IKEA decide that no warranty can be given in a bed bought few weeks ago. "Please be informed that the bed structure and all related components are considered part of the bed system, and there is no warranty coverage applicable for this product in this case. Sukanya Customer Care Centre" Easy to remove their responsibility by just deciding suddenly that there is no warranty for all the components of the bed. Amazing no ? Better to go to buy anywhere else.

I received an order of 6 mugs by the post. One was broken. Complete pain to get through customer after-service and not worth it for one mug. Very disatisfied overall. Given the packaging I am sure that it was broken before being packaged but they obviously don't care.

Worst service and website ever

The site is made by a bunch of incompetents. I have a business account for my workplace office, and it took me 2 days to figure out that the majority of sofas appear available for home delivery, but then once you proceed to checkout, it says home delivery is not possible (of course no mention of the sofa thing, I had to reverse engineer it). once the order was ready, the delivery date was set on a saturday, with no possibility of changing this to a working day or moving to the next month, just it, one saturday in the whole year. For a business account. And then the assembly service is decoupled from delivery, so you are given delivery on a saturday, and assembly two weeks later. The fact that this is one of the biggest furniture companies in europe and they make you waste so much time trying to figure out things that should be straight forward, and then you have to paid insane amounts of money for not even being able to choose a suitable delivery day, it's beyond me. This a legalized scam. Whoever decided that this was the intended way of operating this business should be in jail or in an asylum, certainly not working as an executive in a company. Thieves.

DONT TOUCH WITH A TEN FOOT POLE

Your customer service is even worse than your national football team, and that's impressive (lost 5 - 1 from the Netherlands in the World Cup). First of all, they package things terribly, a closet with glass panels had some minimal cardboard strip at a corner, which cardboard is vulnerable from one side so that is already outright stupid. Well, what ended up happening ? Yeah, either an IKEA employee or the delivery service threw with the package and it had bumped into something and arrived at my doorstep damaged. So you pay 60,- delivery costs to have your closet essentially devalued. Everywhere they claim 365 days or even unlimited warranty if you're an IKEA member but when push comes to shove they reply to your emails with ChatGPT and refuse to take any accountability at all. I feel scammed. Never buying anything from them ever again. Their furniture and company policies are junk.

Charged 1800 Euros twice for one order, money back only in 14 days.

I tried to place one IKEA order for €1,813 and paid via PayPal. After confirming the PayPal payment, I was redirected back to the IKEA cart and asked to choose a payment method again. I selected PayPal again and confirmed the payment again. As a result, two identical orders were created and my PayPal account was charged twice for €1,813. I called IKEA customer service, and they told me the second order would be cancelled and refunded, but that the refund may take up to two weeks. I find this unacceptable because the duplicate charge was caused by the checkout/payment process and €1,813 is a large amount to be unavailable for that long.

I am so disgusted by IKEA

I am so disgusted by IKEA. Delivery to my home is €55 euro which is insane, not to mention I may not be home due to work and the delivery time they give you is between 9am and 7pm therefore I either wait home all day or the box sits on my doorstep to be stolen for a whole day while at work. I could not get a delivery slot that suited as I can only collect while my kids are in childcare and all delivery slots are between 4 and 6. I phone IKEA and the lady said I have 24 hours to collect it from the collection point, therefore I thought that I can order it for delivery today and collect in the morning. Fast track delivery due day and the delivery driver informed me that my delivery needs to be collected today before 6. I told him what the woman said and that I wouldn't get in until morning (which is within the 24 hours) but no, my order was cancelled. Now I am probably going to lose the delivery fee I paid to have it delivered to the collection point

I used the kitchen modular design services. I had to speak to 5 seperate consultants, each one not knowing the previous kitchen design session history It was quite frustrating. I appreciate the service, however there should be more team communication and client consideration. This has cost me a lot of time wasted

🫸🏽 IKEA 👎🏼

IKEA: Absolute amateurism, a psychological, financial, and logistical nightmare. RUN AWAY! If you value your mental health, your money, and your time, run away from IKEA and look at the competition (Leroy Merlin, Castorama, or actual kitchen specialists). What I went through with them for my kitchen order is beyond understanding. This isn't retail anymore; it's organized sabotage. It all started with the delivery. The delivery guy deliberately messed up the package count to rip me off of a sink worth nearly €250. The result? IKEA's customer service refused to hear anything about it and told me to deal with their third-party carrier myself. Unacceptable. I had to buy another sink out of my own pocket. You get robbed in your own home, and IKEA just shrugs. But the ordeal was just getting started. In the middle of assembly, surprise: a ton of parts were missing. Customer service claimed without blinking that the salesperson should have told me they were out of stock, and that it was up to me to monitor their website every single day to re-order them myself. Obviously, the salesperson never told me that. They sell you an incomplete project by lying through omission, and the customer has to do their inventory management work. It’s a constant mental load. On top of that, I had to make no less than [X] exhausting round trips to the store to try and fix their screw-ups face-to-face, only to hit a wall of absolute incompetence. The final blow? The financing. I had signed up for a 20-month interest-free payment plan. These incapable fools tried to direct debit the ENTIRE amount all at once. My bank had to block the transaction, which triggered an absolute hell of a dispute with Sofinco. You end up stressed, exhausted, having to manage banks and credit agencies because of their technical incompetence. The accumulated mental load, contempt, and stress are so violent that a more sensitive person would have surely sunk into depression facing such a relentless onslaught. Bottom line: Disastrous management, a heavy psychological toll (daily anxiety, feeling scammed from start to finish, living among boxes), and a monumental waste of time and gas. IKEA has become a low-cost brand with a ghost customer service. Do not step foot there anymore, pay a bit more elsewhere, but buy your peace of mind.

Reschedule my delivery from the 18th to…

Reschedule my delivery from the 18th to the 24th of this month. As I've used IKEA before I know the orders are kept for a few days. Unfortunately there was a mix up and I couldn't collect my order. I had the unfortunate experience of speaking with an Ursula..who kept repeating herself rather than being helpful. Then while I was trying to speak and inform her of why I couldn't make it down to Dublin from Wexford with a sick child yesterday she proceeded to laugh in my face and get very aggressive and angry with me. I have never in my life spoken to anyone so unprofessional and lacking compassion or understanding. Actually shocked with the lack of empathy from Ursula and the lack of professionalism is astounding. I really hope she gets the training that's needed. Thankfully the manager and the fella who helped me were amazing and we're very sorry for Ursula's behaviour. If I see her again in the shop I'd leave and drive to Ballymun

Rigid and Stressful Delivery Experience

I placed an order of approximately C$1,300 and was very disappointed with the delivery experience. The order was split into two deliveries, but the delivery options were extremely limited and did not work with my condo’s delivery rules. I called customer service three times to ask for a practical solution, but was told nothing could be changed. For a large order, the process felt rigid and not customer-friendly, and apparently the store doesn’t care at all.

My online order and broken bowls

I recently had an online order and it was packed poorly even though most of the order was glass items. The parcel was kept outside my door and the inside articles were moving ( I could hear the sound) when I brought it inside. The bottom part of the cardboard was not even covered securely and I had 3 broken bowls when I opened it, so yeah, I am disappointed. I opened all of the package only today after receiving it, i am moving, so have been very busy organizing a lot of things.

Ikea Nightmare - DO NOT SHOP ONLINE AT IKEA or in store either tbh

Visited Ikea in-store this week and immediately noticed that all of the reviews online saying there has been a dramatic decline in quality could not be more true. Wish I had done that before trying to shop online, which led to Ikea charging me $947.92 for an order they claim never existed despite having sent me a confirmation email and processing the charge on my card. I will certainly update this review if the issue is ever resolved, but the prospects of that look bleak. Ikea has repeatedly indicated that they are unable to help, and that “it is possible for a transaction to be missed by the system due to a technical issue”, which is absurd, but what’s worse was their pathetic responses and inability to keep track of the cases supposedly created to investigate it. I was repeatedly assured that a case had been opened, only for the next representative to tell me it had been lost to the same black hole as my order. Poof Details below. On June 12th, I placed an order through the IKEA iOS app, received a confirmation email, and was charged $947.92. However, the order never appeared in my account and could not be tracked using the order# provided in the confirmation email. I was stressed about this and my move to a new and unfurnished home, so I spent hours of trying to contact Ikea only to have a representative finally grace me with their presence to advise that IKEA had no record of the order despite the confirmation email and processed charge. They said that they would open a case about it and it would be looked into within 24-48 hours. Spoiler, that did not happen. On June 13th, I reached out because I had noticed the charge had been processed. They offered to open a case, to which I let them know that a case had been created by the agent I had chatted with the previous day. I was then informed that a case had not been created, and that they would create one.. I asked for a confirmation email and was told they can’t provide that, and I can sure see why because over the following week, I spent hours and hours and hours repeating this exact process on loop, reaching out for an update only to be to repeating all of the same information over and over again, and multiple representatives assured me that cases had been created, only for the subsequent representatives to claim they could not locate those cases. Not a single one of the case numbers provided to me were ever traceable through IKEA's system at any point. June 14th. No update. June 15th. My move-in date. The charge is still on my card. I reach out to Ikea and go through the same loop of asking for an update on my case and being told that there isn’t a case but that they would create one. And of course, the order still doesn’t show up when I try tracking it. June 16th was my scheduled delivery date. I reach out to Ikea, same loop as above. June 17th, I begin the dispute and chargeback process with Amex and request them to open a fraud investigation. On June 18th, I reached out for an update, and like clockwork, the IKEA representative said "it happens rarely, but it is possible for a transaction to be missed by the system due to a technical issue.”, right.. except the transaction wasn’t missed, I was charged. I’ve since found several people online referencing having experienced this exact situation with Ikea and it never being resolved by them. What's particularly ironic is that I visited the IKEA store in Richmond this week and saw that the countless reviews describing a mammoth dip in quality were not exaggerating whatsoever, drop-shipped particleboard galore. So that’s another reason to never shop online at Ikea, or shop at Ikea at all. As of June 19th, IKEA has made no meaningful effort to correct this.

TERRIBLE customer service

IKEA has great furniture at a good price, however, they have THE WORST customer service you can imagine! My friend and I went to IKEA yesterday to buy two couches and a coffee table. This was a significant purchase over $2,000. I had already picked out the couches, but I wanted to sit in them before I purchased, so I recruited a friend and went down to Burbank to check everything out before I bought. I found an IKEA employee, Max, in the furniture area and he was unenthusiastic but seemed competent to help us make the purchase. He directed us around the corner to look at a companion arm chair to try out while he started writing up the sale. Or so we thought. When we came back around the corner, Max had gone! totally gone. He never thought to follow us around the corner (where he had told us to go) to let us know he was leaving. He just went. We searched all over for him, even resorted to calling out his name; crickets. so we picked up the phone at his desk, hit O, and said we had been abandoned and could someone please help us buy two couches and a table. Chandler showed up. We were relieved until we actually dealt with Chandler. OMG so rude. If we volunteered more information than he asked for, he cut us off and told us only to answer his question and not to speak other than that. He would ask a cryptic question and when we asked, "What do you mean?" he would simply repeat the exact same question. It was like dealing with a robot with limited vocabulary. Clearly a man on the spectrum, by the end of the interaction during which he had actually drawn up the delivery contract, purchase and assembly agreements, we were traumatized into submission. We were directed to check-out which was entirely self-serve. Even though we had purchased three items, it said we were purchasing seven. So I needed clarification. I turned to the only employee there dealing with all of us at the self-serve check-out, an unsmiling and unenthusiastic woman name Elvira. She helped us through the process, never once relating to us as fellow human beings. She got the job done, but you could see, she did not enjoy helping families and individuals buying stuff at IKEA. My God, what are they doing to their employees at IKEA? Are they paying them so little that they cannot muster any enthusiasm for the job? Are the work conditions THAT horrible, that everyone who works there just wants it to be over?? What is going on there? When you look at the departments and all the cool and cute stuff, you can imagine working there and loving it. It should be fun to shop there and send your kids to the playhouse and eat in the restaurant. But if the employees act like it's the last place they want to be and you, the customer, are the last people in the world they want to see, let alone help, well, gee, I don't want to be here either. It is the Unhappiest Place on Earth. Oh and also, they need to have better colors for their couches. Their color selection is abysmal - all the funeral colors: grey, black, sage green, burnt orangey-brown, slate, charcoal grey; barf colors. While we were waiting for Max to show up, I asked other customers, and they all agreed that the color choices were awful.

How Ikea treats the disabled

It saddens me to complain but management needs to know how Ikea, Atlanta, treats the disabled. Long story short, we just finished a full home remodel, spending over $50,000, We visited to return items not used and buy other items we were missing, the guy took almost 45 minutes to do the return, a system error. We were buying 3 cart loads of goods, and checked out. My Wife is blind; she was waiting at the door while I went to get the truck because it was too much for me to wheel through the huge parking structure. In the 5 minutes it took me to get the truck, the security guy just took our carts, wheeled them outside and locked the door, she told them she was blind and was waiting for me to bring the truck. His response was "whatever" Continued to throw out thing outside along with my wife. When I pulled up, she was just left outside, standing there and he was rolling my purchases I had paid for, across the parking lot away from my wife. Needless to say, I was not happy and let the rude, disrespectable employee have it. Keep in mind, gang members were hanging out on a wall in their parking lot, store is in a sketchy area. I did make a complaint on Ikea's website and waited a month for a reply, but they did not so I assume they don't care either and this behavior is part of their training. Needless to say, I will never darken their door again. IKEA, do better!!!

Order cancelled by ikea not refunded over a month later.

Placed and paid for an order 4th May, ikea cancelled the order a few days later without offering me any option. It is now the 15th June and I still have not received the promised refund. All of the problem has been from IKEA, they cancelled the order not me, not my decision and to date I have neither the goods nor the refund. Utter disgrace.

I visited IKEA at the Domain on June…

I visited IKEA at the Domain on June 15, 2026, at around 4:00 PM with my family. We were having a good time until an IKEA employee approached us and yelled at my 14-year-old and 11-year-old siblings. The employee accused my siblings of making a wooden hand display with the middle finger raised. In reality, my siblings had only found the item and were showing it to us. The employee immediately blamed them without asking any questions and spoke to them in a very disrespectful manner. I was very disappointed by the way the situation was handled. There was no reason to yell at children or make accusations without first understanding what had happened. The employee was rude and unprofessional, which made our visit unpleasant. Because of this experience, I do not plan to return to this location. I hope management addresses this issue and provides better customer service training to ensure other families do not have a similar experience
