This leaf filter protection is a joke
This leaf filter protection is a joke. A section of the filter or screen on the gutter came loose and is flapping in the wind . I called leaf filter and they want $125 just to come and check it out. There life time warranty doesn’t really cover anything. They are expensive and I feel dishonest

Met with a Professional 😊
Heard about Leaf Filter via other contractors plus also on line and decided to meet with one of its reps. It went very well where I learned on the material used and on the company’s evolvement on gutters. First off, the rep was here way before the scheduled appointment and that was a plus for me. He was most cordial and respectful. He explained all on the material of the gutters, what it’s made from versus just plain ole aluminum that can bend easily, its value as a homeowner and on it’s durability through time, it’s warranty that surpasses any other I’ve heard of, and the most important part is that it is transferable even if the home is sold. We walked around the house and he pointed out each area of the gutters and their lack of protection throughout the years when missing parts-as I’ve had. He also explained how long it would take to complete the job which helped in knowing it would all be professionally installed same day. I was also shown the model gutters and how the material feels as well as how the pieces are attached in making up an actual gutter attachment. There is more than just the plain ole white where they have optional colors and that too helps to make a big statement on my street. I like how they have the black in a color as they also do other colors but the black is a true statement of exceptional beauty. I appreciate you Matt Mondene and your expertise. Thank you for all which helped me decide Leaf Filters is the way to go moving forward. Matt didn’t give me a sales pitch throughout instead he valued me as a potential customer by explaining the comparisons and why durability in its material and workmanship is key for a way-better protection for my home. It will be peace of no worries and to me that’s priceless. 😊
We purchased a leaf guard system in November 2024 for a total of $4942. We just noticed we have a family of Robyn’s building a nest in our gutter where there is no gutter guard. I called to see if they could come out and install the gutter guard. We obviously paid for already, but they said it would cost me another $125 to have them come out and just look at it. I didn’t realize we would have to get up on a ladder and check to make sure they did their job. The whole point was not to be on a ladder but it looks like we’re gonna have to anyway because I’m not paying $125 to have somebody look at a 1 foot section where they failed to do what they were paid to do. This is the second time we have used leaf filter first time. We were very happy with them this time not even close. Buyer beware! Very disappointed in their customer service.

lets start from the beginning the sales rep was late when he made it it was pouring out so I thought great he can see any messed up gutters the sales man didnt get on a ladder either, he came in my home and stated you have rain coming over the gutters not even going into the downspouts the sales rep come out gave me this long speech on how they are the best and showed me the difference of gutter covers, the problem is I was overpriced, secondly the sales rep said that their guys would be able to do some extra work and he put it on the work order that was a lie, the sales rep also told me if there was any damage behind the gutters the workers would fix that another lie. Also I was not told they dont have in-house roofers they contract out, so day of install they send 3 latinos none of them spoke Engish which is fine, however there was no way to communicate with them, one worker knocked on the downspout and said it was clean, I am not a roofer so I cant say is that a correct way of checking downspouts. I put a bad review on their website and instead of someone calling me to discuss it, they send the workers out again to my surprise when they pulled up in my drive way stating they didnt know why they had to return because everything was done the first time. I spoke to someone in the office name Katie who was rude and told me I needed to call the sales rep because what he promised they dont do. We had a heavy rain fall after the install and still had alot of water falling over the gutters which the sales man said they would fix.
I spent alot of money with this company never again I def will NEVER refer them
and the lifetime warranty of course they can afford to give that out since the warranty is for clog gutters

Three times in the last 3-4 yrs (since…
Three times in the last 3-4 yrs (since installation4-5 yrs ago) I have called Leaf Filter because their Leaf Filter is blowing in the wind. Meaning, it is no longer attached in the gutter. Their response "not covered by our warranty". This means I needed to pay Leaf Filter to send someone to my home to repair the issue. Read your warranty, it really doesn't cover anything. The first time this happened; they told me to install snow guards. MY roofers laughed but installed the snow guards. Cost me $1500. It happened again. I was charged by Leaf Filter. Now it has happened for the 3rd time and Leaf Filter is flapping in the wind. again.

Worse money I have spent
Worse money I have spent. The filters trap debris and I still have to climb the ladder to clean the filters. They are sagging in several areas too. I called the rep the first time I noticed this and he told me the rain water would wash it away. ( I cleaned it off myself). It is still trapping debris and when I contacted the company about the problem and asked them to remove the filters they were going to charge by the foot to remove the product. I plan to have a new gutter guard company replace this product.

They advertise "never get on a ladder again" and then charge a $125 trip fee. This is outrageous!
This fee was not disclosed and they would not bend.

They didn’t even do half are house and no filter in the gutters and then they charge us $2,800 was not happy

Lighting By Leaf Filter
We have Leaf Filter gutter covers and are totally sold on them. When we saw Leaf Filter was also now doing Lights by Leaf Filter, my wife and I had to try them out. We had been looking for lighting solutions for holidays and as an addition to our security system. We made an appointment, and got to meet Shawn Copeland, who talked to us, and answered our questions fully. Shawn was not a “hard sales” representative, he asked us questions about what we wanted, suggested solutions and more importantly, actually listened to and addressed all of our concerns. He showed us the quality of the lighting system to be installed. The icing on the cake was when he said the installer could install our lighting system on Monday! (Our meeting was on Saturday.) The installer was professional, neat and paid attention to detail. He spent the time with me explaining the system and the app. Between Shawn Copeland and out installer, Leaf Filter certainly did right by us! We are happy! Deal with Leaf Filter with confidence.

"I have mixed feelings about my experience with LeafFilter. While the installation team—specifically Francisco—did a wonderful job correcting our issues and getting the job done right, the management side of this project was a nightmare.
Our project manager, Eric Schlich, was condescending, rude, and unprofessional throughout our interaction. We experienced a significant miscommunication regarding the scope of work between the sales team and management. When we reached out to address the damage caused to our roofline during installation, Eric Schlich refused to listen, blamed the sales representative, and refused to fix the issue, essentially telling us it was 'too bad,' we signed the contract, even though the install had been inaccurately explained to us.
It took multiple attempts, scheduling issues, and unnecessary stress to get the problem resolved. Even after the service department canceled our first appointment due to equipment failure, Eric Schlich cancelled our second appointment before finally begrudgingly sending someone out a third time. He assumed incorrectly what my service request was for and blamed his service department for misrepresenting my request.
The product itself seems quality, but the management representation I dealt with was abysmal. If you care about customer service and being treated with respect as a homeowner, be aware that you may face significant hurdles with this specific project manager. I would have a hard time recommending this company to others based solely on the treatment I received from management."

The salesman raved about the quality…
The salesman raved about the quality and support from the organization, so I felt comfortable using Leaf Filter. Everything went downhill from there. Turns out the installer is a contractor who has not been able to finish the job after nearly three days on site. The whole experience feels like a "bait & switch". I would never recommend the company.

The warranty is misleading and they refuse to honor it. Customer service do not want to here your issues and give nothing but double talk.
This review claims I need to give it 1–5 stars. I would give leaf filters a -0. Worst customer service refuse to listen to the problems I am experiencing with the fine mesh that peeling off their filter guard. Finally was told leaf filters will fix a small problem under the warranty. But any more than that they will require me to pay to repair or replace for more than that. My gutters clogged because of this problem and still refusing to honor their warranty. Telling me that the missing screen did not cause the leaves to enter the gutters. I asked this lady representing leaf filters the only way leaves could enter the gutter is through the missing micro mesh. We were just going around and around over this. In short people this is a scam and leaf filters will dance around and dance around the wordings of their contract. And do nothing for you. Save your money. Go to Home Depot or Lowe’s they sell leaf filtering you or your contractor can put over your gutters that will do a much better job for you. I was in a hurry to get this done moving into a new house and I made a big mistake. Leave filter salesman as they say speaking with a forked tongue. They will lie to your face to make that sale. And I fell for it. Life’s to short for this stress. I have found Antonio tx the BBB has received 2500 complaints.

Leaf Home Garage Flooring Cancellation
On March 16, 2026, a Leaf Filter Gutter Protection representative, visited with me at my home in Webster, Tx to discuss a garage floor protection system. He also represented the Garage Flooring part of Leaf Home. We settled on a price of $4,650.00 for a 550 ft2 garage floor and I made a $1500 downpayment (via VISA card) with the other #3,150.00 covered by a Wells Fargo 3 yr, 0% interest loan. The job was set up for April 13, 2026 and all Leaf Home contracts were signed on March 17, 2026. Leaf Home USA Flooring Installation Mgr (BDURABLE GARAGE FLOOR COATINGS) in Ohio cancelled the job on April 7, 2026 via phone call stating Leaf Home was exiting the Garage Flooring service. They did refund my $1,500 deposit the next day and I was able to cancel the loan contract with Wells Fargo but I was now 6 days from installation date and had to start over. I was able to contract my 2nd choice, Slip Free Systems in Pearland, Tx and saved $1,200 on the job that was actually completed on April 15, 2026. Great job from Slip Free Systems. Even though the Garage Flooring was separate from the Leaf Filter group, the salesman represented both, I would not trust Leaf Home Gutter Protection after this experience. I was the 2nd Leaf Filter customer to switch to Slip Free Systems after the other customer Sante Fe, Tx cancelled Leaf Filters after one delay and then a "no-show."

Useless lifetime guarantee
I’ve had leaf filter gutters for two years. The lifetime guarantee of no jams is a sham. During the first year, clogs are cleared for free. After the first year, they say they clear the gutters for free, but there is a $125 “service trip charge.” I regret having paid a premium price for gutters having a useless guarantee.

My gutters are pretty much worthless. Oak droppings have completely clogged the screens not allowing water to drain to down spout. Down spouts when they are unclogged drain water into carport instead of flower beds. More water now on my gacia boards since water runs between gutters and facia. What's the manufacturers money back guarantee all about? Wouldn't recommend your product to anyone. Tried to call but was left on hold for 20mins then recording said I'd get a callback within 1 day. Totally unacceptable...up until they get full payment they are easily reachable
