Thank you for your kind review. We love to hear this!
It was good, the person was clear and patient
Thank you for your review!
Updated: I emailed the address in their response to this review, and after 11 days they still have not responded. I have faithfully used Mailchimp since 2020, when they had a promotional for a free domain to push their website building. Although the builder was more limited than other options, it met my needs, and I already used their email system. In 2026 I found that my website was blocked and listed to visitors as a proven malicious site; this happened at an incredibly awful time and cost me partnerships. If you are on the free tier, it is impossible to get any support, so I searched mailchimp and eventually discovered that they had changed several elements of the free their without notice, including the use of a custom domain (which had been active for 6 years.) There was no way to restore my site or talk to customer service unless I started a plan, so I did and immediately reached out. Two months later and not only have they made it right, they have often not responded in a timely manner, and when they have it is clear they have not read the correspondence. After asking to escalate the issue, a billing manager gave me the "solution" of downgrading. Mailchimp customer service has failed immensely, and their deceptive practice of trying to force people off the free tier is disgraceful. I help manage the mailchimp of a larger organization, and we have faced similar issues. If they did not make it so difficult to transfer sites I would leave; instead I am repeating my situation weekly to reps who do not seem to care.

We chose to change to Mailchimp in order to organise email & text sendouts in one place. With the SMS setup we experienced issues with making sure that phone numbers were added in the correct field to enable us to use it. We reached out to support to get this resolved. After one month, being directed to 6 different people, often repeating information & tasks - they were not able to solve the issue. The experience could be compared to an LLM hallucinating: repeatedly answering incorrectly, but with confidence. To this day I am unsure whether my issue is actually technically possible to solve. To be balanced, I do want to specify that the email part of the service is, in my opinion, the best I've tried, and here I don't really have any complaints. I would rate the email service as a strong 4 or a weak 5, due to some minor friction points in the UI. That is why the total rating is not a 1. The result is us not continuing with Mailchimp for SMS, and a very bitter relationship with Mailchimp as a brand and organisation. I am genuinely surprised by the lack of effort & system knowledge from CS, especially since the direct consequence of not solving the issue directly decreased the amount spent by us as a customer. I finally cut ties with this company, even though I’d been working with them since 2023. After they charged an extra $15 for 500 additional subscribers—even though I actually only have up to 2,500 subscribers—but they count both “cleaned” and “unsubscribed” ones. $64 a month! No, thanks!
this is my first time working with mailchimp and it has not been the best experience. I have tried twice to do a live tutorial but each time I could not connect using the link that was provided. The online experience was not better. I attempted to use the online assistance and they could not help me either. I ended up having to figure out my issue on my own.
Hi Angela. We're sorry to hear you weren't able to get connected with the team. We'd like to take a closer look and make sure we get this resolved. Please reach out to us at [email protected] with your ticket number or account email address and we'll get it sorted out.
The tool is excellent and offers great features for anyone working with email marketing. Mailchimp was the only tool that allowed me to effectively reach clients using Microsoft services, as Outlook doesn't block emails sent from it (I’m not sure why that happens with other tools, but for me, that’s the key advantage).
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We truly appreciate your feedback and value your business.
Your representative who guided me through setting up and sending a recent email to our list. I think her name was Indigo? Indira? I’m sorry I don’t remember. But she stuck with me for the whole time, maybe an hour. Patiently, helpfully. Absolute GOLD STAR employee.
Hey Lea! Thank you so much for your positive feedback! If you're able to locate your case number, please feel free to send it over to [email protected] so we can pass this along to the representative 😊
I cant use the product for its intended use. I called support and she could not help me. I was supposed have secondary call but nobody has reached out.

I'm only giving it 1 because I can't give zero or negative marks. This used to be a great service years ago, until it was sold a couple of times, now it basically appears to be a trap to lock up your mails and siphon money, EVEN IF YOU DON'T SEND A SINGLE MAIL TO YOUR AUDIENCE! Since they ramped the prices insanely, we've been trying to downgrade steadily for a year or two, but there's so many complex and convoluted processes, hidden gotchas and nested menus it always finds another way to delay your exit or bump charges. It's the SAAS equivalent of being stuck in a Vegas casino. It's taken us a year to cut back from the insane $1K amounts we were paying to what I thought was $100, but has now turned out again to be closer to $500. We are now in the process of removing it entirely from our workflow. Good riddance! There are hundreds of better options out there. DO NOT USE!

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with Mailchimp and would not recommend it. Compared to platforms like Constant Contact, it’s noticeably less intuitive and more difficult to navigate. Simple tasks often feel more complicated than they should be, which slows everything down. The biggest issue, however, is their support. It’s very clear they are quick to make themselves available when you’re in the sales process, but once you’re a customer, that accessibility disappears. Instead of being able to speak with someone, you’re forced into an email-based support system with long delays between responses. What should be quick fixes turn into drawn-out back-and-forth conversations, which is incredibly inefficient and frustrating. If reliable, timely support and ease of use matter to you, Mailchimp falls short in both areas.

Mailchimp has become an invaluable communications tool for our organization. It allows us to effectively communicate with, engage, and mobilize our members and supporters through professional, visually appealing campaigns. One of the metrics we value most is our consistently above-average open rate, which tells us that both the platform and our content are resonating with our audience. Mailchimp's analytics and reporting tools provide meaningful insights that help us understand engagement, refine our messaging, and make data-driven decisions. I also appreciate the platform's best-practice recommendations, which have helped us improve everything from subject lines and preview text to overall campaign effectiveness. The interface is intuitive, the templates are flexible, and the reporting tools keep us informed and focused on continuous improvement. For organizations seeking a reliable email marketing platform with strong analytics and practical guidance, Mailchimp is an excellent choice.
Thank you so much for this thoughtful review. It's wonderful to hear that Mailchimp has become such a meaningful part of how your organization connects with its members and supporters. Above-average open rates are something to be proud of, and it's clear your team puts real care into your content. We're glad our analytics, best-practice recommendations, and templates are giving you the tools to keep raising the bar. Thank you for choosing Mailchimp, and for taking the time to share your experience.
Signed up to what appeared to be a reasonable monthly price only to be charged a HUGE amount (5 times the monthly fee) of hidden costs that are unavoidable. I would recommend reading ALL the small print before you sign up. Doing anything in the app is difficult and ineffective for me. Very please to be rid of it.
Hi James. We're sorry to hear the pricing wasn't what you expected, and we completely understand how frustrating unexpected charges can be. We'd love to learn more about what happened and see if there's anything we can do to help. Please feel free to send us the details at [email protected] and we'd be happy to look into it for you.
Awful product and awful business. Lagged behind other email providers for some time, but are starting to catch up. However, support is SHOCKING! I have been chasing an important support ticket for a client for months and months, progress so slow, now being COMPLETELY ignored and I've even asked to raise a complaint with a manager, to no response. Shocking customer service!
Hi Lee. This isn't the kind of experience we want for you or any of our customers. We located your ticket number and got it in front of a manager. They're taking a closer look and will be following up with you shortly. We appreciate your patience.
terrible provider! 2-factor authentication really sucks, I can't get on my account: 2nd time in 3 months... and they do nothing!!! You have to fill in all rediculous questions... stay away from this on to send your emails...
Hi Lieselotte. We're sorry to hear about the account access issues and understand how frustrating that is. We were able to locate your ticket number, and it looks like our Account Recovery team was able to reset your account's 2-factor authentication. If that's not right, or you have any other concerns, please email us at [email protected], and we'll be happy to assist.
Some new AI feature that is apparently supposed to schedule an SMS broadcast of the campaign altered the text of the notice and got it wrong.
