DO NOT USE...
You pay for everything and cancelling your plan is impossible...
Reply from Intuit Mailchimp2026-08-03
We understand how frustrating billing and cancellation troubles can be. To stop billing, you have two options. You can pause your plan, which keeps all your data and contacts intact while stopping monthly charges, or you can permanently delete your account if you no longer need it. One thing to note is that any outstanding balance does need to be paid before an account can be deleted. You can find the full steps for both here: https://mailchimp.com/help/close-an-account/
We can see you're already connected with our support team, so please keep working with them on the details specific to your account, and they'll continue to help get this sorted for you.

Long-time customer disappointed by the lack of communication and customer support
We have been Mailchimp customers for many years, and unfortunately this has been the worst experience we have had with the platform.
Our complaint is not only about the account suspension, but about the way the entire situation was handled.
On July 25, we successfully paid our outstanding invoice. Once the payment was processed, the suspension warning banner disappeared from our account. No new warning or notification appeared indicating that another payment would be due on July 30, or that our account would be suspended immediately without any grace period.
On July 30, our account was suspended, seriously affecting our business operations and our ability to communicate with our customers. We waited many hours for a response from support while our business remained unable to operate, and we even received automated replies that were unrelated to our case.
The Billing team later explained that no additional grace period could be granted because two grace periods had already been used in previous billing cycles. However, this limitation had never been communicated to us. If there is a limit on the number of grace periods, customers should be clearly informed before an account is suspended.
We are not trying to avoid paying our invoices. Our business depends on receiving payments from our own customers, and we have always brought our account up to date. What we needed was a short period of flexibility to continue operating while waiting for those scheduled payments.
What disappoints us the most is not only the billing decision itself, but the lack of communication, the slow response from support, and the complete absence of any effort to mitigate the impact on a loyal customer who has trusted Mailchimp for many years.
We hope Mailchimp reviews this case at a higher level and improves its communication and customer support processes so that other long-term customers do not experience the same situation.

Can't login. No support. Retarded UX
I can't login. It's impossible
- you already have an account, you can't register
- forgot password? - you don't have have an account
- you blocked on 60 min after 4 attempts
- logged into another account few times, each time different projects inside. One time is shared client account, another free tier. No chance to switch.
Retarded UX. No support.
Guys, hire at least one QA in your team.

Thanks for laying this out, Max. Getting locked out is a frustrating spot to be in. If Forgot Password or Forgot Username aren't recognizing your email, it's usually because the login is tied to a different email address. Our Account Recovery team can dig into which account is attached to your email, and help you get back in. They can be reached through this contact form and will follow up by email: https://mailchimp.com/contact/?primaryTopic=account&secondaryTopic=login
Zero customer service. I received a charge I did not recognize to my card, because it has always been Mailchimp. Now it came Intuit. I charged it back and cancelled my card because I thought it was fraudulent.
Days later I received an email from Mailchimp stating my card had been declined. I realized what had happened then. I went to their site and paid with a new card.
Still my account is suspended even though they got my payment. All the customer "service" guy could tell me is: talk to your bank. I can even see on my billing history that it has been paid, even on their site.
Horrible experience

Thank you for taking the time to share your review, Phoebe. We understand how frustrating it is to have your account suspended when you believe your payment has already gone through. Your case has been passed on to our Billing team for further investigation, and they'll follow up with you directly by email.

What a difficult to use system
What a difficult to use system! After you create a template, it should have a send button to lead to the next step and send this out. But no! The system just wants to fool you around and make you stuggle, make simple things difficult! And the price is expensive! Will need to find a better alternative. I don't recommend it!

Hi there. We're sorry to hear you've had a frustrating experience. That's not what we want for our customers. We appreciate the feedback and will be sure to pass it along to the team. If you ever need help navigating the platform, our Support team is always happy to help.
I signed up for the paid service to use for my PR outreach efforts. I have explicit permission to use the contacts I have from approved databases, yet my account was restricted, and I received no customer support. So I wasted $45 and had to use another service to get my work done.

Support Not Knowledgable
It took 3 months to get my contacts as subscribers. I paid for the service and could not use it. No one knew how to get the contacts in as subscribers. A lot of time wasted on the phone with support. Now that they are subscribers the live help has expired. I asked for it to be extended was told no. I asked for credit for the 3 months of payments they said no.

0/10 Terrible experience
Update:
I sent email to mc-socialreviews on July 20th with no respond , I sent also to many top management in your company no one answered or replied my emails , as mentioned in my review you don't care about your clients !!!
0/10 Terrible experience. The sales team was very responsive until I completed my payment. After that, customer support completely disappeared. My account was suspended without any clear explanation, and emailing multiple people across the company, no one responded. This level of customer service is unacceptable. I will never use this service again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Bad customer service, answers to my question about an automation differed based on employee I talked to
Not easy to navigate, will not work the way the person who set it up with me said it would, they would not issue a refund when I requested (since they told me automations could do something they cannot in fact do). Customer service is dismal.

Years as a Customer, but Mailchimp’s Support Has Become an AI Dead End
We have had a Mailchimp account for many years, but our recent experience has been extremely frustrating.
When testing an email template, none of the test emails arrived. We tried sending them to three different email addresses, but not a single message was delivered.
The support experience was even worse. I explained the problem clearly several times, but the AI chat assistant repeatedly asked whether the emails had landed in the spam folder and kept telling me to resend them. I had already checked the spam folders and had clearly stated that the emails had not arrived anywhere.
Instead of understanding the answer or escalating the issue to a competent support agent, the AI system simply repeated the same irrelevant questions and suggestions. There was no useful troubleshooting, no proper investigation and no actual support.
A support system that ignores precise answers and sends customers around in circles is not support at all. Mailchimp’s template testing currently does not work for us, and its AI support is repetitive, ineffective and completely useless.
Reply from Intuit Mailchimp2026-07-13
Thank you for this detailed review, Gregor. We completely understand how frustrating it is to hit a wall when you need real answers fast, especially as a long-time customer.
Test emails not arriving across three different addresses isn't expected, and there are a few things worth checking. First, if any of those addresses were corporate or work emails, strict spam firewalls can block test messages entirely. It's also worth knowing that test emails can take up to 24 hours to arrive depending on your provider. Another common culprit is the From email address: if it's linked to a free domain like Gmail or Yahoo, that can cause delivery issues, and setting up custom domain authentication can make a big difference. You can find the full breakdown of these issues here: https://mailchimp.com/help/troubleshooting-test-email-delivery-failures/
That said, we’d like to connect you to our Support team so we can dig into what’s happening. Send us an email at [email protected] and we'll take it from there.
