MEXC — "Low fees, but we'll fleece you another way." That's their motto.
WTI Crude Oil futures. Within a single second, a candle forms from ~$95 to ~$105 — exclusively on MEXC, with no such price movement on any other exchange. My Take Profit was set at $103–104, and it triggered. Then the circus began: the position was not closed at $104, not at $103 — there were literally zero trades at those levels. Instead, it was immediately executed at market price: $99–97.
I checked the order book right after: moving the price by just $0.60 would have required ~$300,000 in liquidity. Yet somehow the price swung $10 with no market activity whatsoever.
When I contacted support, they openly stated: "The price could have reached that level WITHOUT ANY TRADES."
The exchange is clearly manipulating prices to hunt stops and profit from its own users.
Total loss: $16,000.

I deposited 100 XTM to test their network, and it takes up to three hours for it to appear in my account, even though the transaction has already been confirmed by my wallet.
I try to withdraw XTM, but the system asks me to authenticate my phone number. After doing so, it flags an anomaly and requires me to complete the full KYC process!
Logging into the Mexc system is like falling into a trap!
Furthermore, if the transaction is successful, they charge you a 30% network fee.
You get 70 XTM for every 100 XTM you deposit, provided you receive them...
The process to close your account and avoid the scam is long and complicated!
Apparently, everything they say about you online is true...
What nationality do you have that you can behave this way with people's data and money?
They just replied to me in chat that this is how things are for them and to be patient...
In short, they allow you to deposit assets after a simple email registration, but if you want everything back, they won't give it to you unless you also provide them with "the results of your latest blood tests"...
In the literature about this exchange, there are cases where, even after submitting all the documentation, they won't give you back everything that's yours and what you're entitled to...
I therefore propose a public petition to make this exchange illegal in Italy and, if possible, in other countries as well.

Nella letteratura riguardo questo exchange si scorgono casi dove, neppure dopo la consegna di tutta la documentazione, ti ridanno indietro tutto ciò che è tuo e che ti spetta...
Propongo quindi una petizione pubblica per rendere illegale questo Exchange in Italia e se possibile pure in altri paesi.

Let me give you a concrete example — and I've experienced this with PIPPIN and other cryptos too (and note: this does NOT happen on other platforms).
I had been trading RIVER futures for weeks. It took a massive dump and I exited my short with a big loss, but I was monitoring closely because I was convinced a reversal was coming and I wanted to ride it long.
And then — exactly 1 hour after I liquidated my short and was ready to go long — they "adjusted the risk limit," capping my position at just 550 USDT margin. Absolutely outrageous.
Their exact wording: "The max. position limit for the RIVERUSDT Futures pair has been adjusted from 34,500 cont. to 1,900 cont."
I am so fed up.

but the actual fees charged are three times higher than what’s stated in my account profile
I was sure it was 0.04%
when I calculated it, the actual commission was 0.13%

I am currently dealing with an unresolved deposit issue on MEXC involving 121.030633 TAO, which has now been pending far beyond the originally stated timeframe.
The ticket (CR04260317D4NHE18Y) was submitted on 2026-03-17 and initially classified as a manual review (1–2 business days). However, after delays, it was reclassified into an unstaking-related recovery process with a new estimate of 7–21 business days — without clear communication at the time.
While support has confirmed the case is “being processed” and “urged internally,” they have been unable to provide:
Any timestamps for when the process actually began
Any indication of current progress
Any realistic or case-specific completion timeframe
This lack of transparency is concerning given the value involved and the shifting explanations throughout the process.
I understand that technical processes can take time, but users should not be left without clear, accountable updates — especially when timelines change after submission.

Trading records not kept. Impossible to reconcile older transactions. I've just now inquired with customer support to provide my 2024 trading records for tax purposes. It's been 2 years, which isn't an eternity. However, they don't even have these records anymore, as they claim. It's crazy business conduct for a trading platform. Beware and stay far away from them!

Was a campaign that if you are new and deposit 100$, you would get 300$. I verified it with the support. And sftwr ive done it, i had to wait 3 days for «review». Sfter those days they denied me the money, because of «security issues», and my f money is in the account and i can’t even withdraw it ???!!!!. Very promising plattform!
But i can see all the reviews, still after using there platform for few weeks now, its not that simple.
When i platform is acused of beeing a fraud, all bells ring and you get spooked, just like i did after depositing money.
Today there platform just works to well to be a fraud, to many details well tought trough, but still, i got spooked after my girlfriend was online and looking for reviews.. so i quickly closed my positions and went straight to withdraw ..
And.. did an onchain withdraw to a walet on the bnb network, and in less than 10 secconds 500USD as a test went trough without any issues..
So that was a as good as it could have been..
So i sent the money back into MexC .. just cause i simply like how there platform works, not 100% percent, but theres provide 0 fee and high leverage.
Sounds ok right. . but not som easy ...
1 hour later, i was getting my new limit orders ready for a BTC movement.. and yes.. orders got filled, BTC started to run .. profit started to tick in ..
Suddenly there service started lagging .. got slow .. and it was getting very scary when you cant protect your potitions, but i had both set multible SL and TP .. hence i was safe .. but **** hell ..
I can see there web and apps are not on the same servers.. hence .. i could log on trough my phone and closed all positions.. Great !
Now i just tought .. i need to get my money out of there.. to another exchange and jump onto BTC as its playtime..
Well .. onchain transfer worked again !
So .. conclution ..
There platform is relatively new.
It provides 0 Maker fees..
Its rich with funtionality..
Noone with a good platform would use it to scam when it works .. just no point in it.
I think its more clear to me that they are fighting and trying to keep up in all areas, low fees, most likley a huges increase in users..
I think this is just what is to be exspected, and i havent lost a dime, but i have had issues, but no scamming exsperience, mostly a company that just really needs more staff, more servers and just some time ..
So all in all 3 stars for the setup as it is, just dont noob around, risk management is nr 1.
When they have stabelized, its a 5 star exchange for sure =)

J’étais en position short et je voulais fermer ma position, mais ils ne m’en ont pas donné la possibilité. Ils m’ont envoyé un e-mail disant que les frais avaient été modifiés pour moi sur les futures (juste au moment où je commençais à faire des profits), puis un autre e-mail expliquant que je ne pouvais pas vendre à cause de la forte volatilité.
En tant que trader, j’ai clairement été pénalisé par cette situation. Dans leurs e-mails, ils utilisent de longues phrases avec beaucoup de mots, mais la réalité est simple : je n’ai pas pu fermer ma position gagnante quand je le voulais.

As a trader, I was clearly put at a disadvantage by them. In their emails they use long sentences with many words, but the reality is simple: I was not able to close my winning position when I wanted to.

SCAM WARNING: MEXC freezes profitable accounts for 180 days (Even Official Partners!)
I am an official MEXC Affiliate Partner and Crypto Influencer, and I am publicly exposing their fraudulent practices.
If you are a profitable trader, DO NOT USE THIS EXCHANGE. As soon as you make a significant profit, they will instantly freeze your account and confiscate your funds.
I executed a 100% legitimate, manual trade on the OIL_USDT futures pair using their standard mobile app. I did not use bots, I did not use exploits. Their risk engine accepted my trade normally. However, after I closed the trade with a large profit, my account was immediately slapped with a "180-day Risk Control" freeze.
Their excuse? "Position Limit Evasion" and "Market Manipulation." This is completely absurd. How can a retail trader manipulate the global oil market? Furthermore, if my trade size was too large, their system should have rejected the order. The fact that it executed proves I was trading within the allowed platform parameters.
Customer support is entirely useless. They refuse to provide any proof of wrongdoing and just send automated templates telling me to wait 6 months or go to expensive arbitration. They even admitted in writing that my funds are safe, proving that my trades were legitimate and caused no harm to the exchange, yet they refuse to let me withdraw my own money.
They are holding my funds illegally to use for their own liquidity. I am currently escalating this massive compliance failure to European regulators and my Affiliate Manager.
MEXC targets and steals from profitable retail traders. Withdraw your funds immediately before you become their next victim.
My UID is: 02324579. I demand an immediate manual review by a Senior Compliance Manager and the unfreezing of my assets. I will not stop exposing this scam until my money is returned.
