MEXC is a scam crypto platform. DO NOT USE IT! If you attempt to withdraw funds, they will hold your money for ransom and demand a payment of 20% of your entire asset amount for "capital gains tax" - not just your actual capital gain! On top of that, they won't simply offer to withhold it, they demand you DEPOSIT MORE MONEY to make the payment!!! And they won't listen, only demand! Investment principle is not subject to taxation, only profits, but that does not matter. SCAM!! AVOID!! Their reply to this review is more of the same doubletalk. Their live chat is either a bot or automatic replies with boiler plate responses. They do not respond to actual complaints or refute arguments, nor do they work to resolve a dispute. They simply hold your money for ransom. Avoid this platform at all costs. INTERPOL needs to get involved with these crooks. If they release my money, I will post the appropriate response, but they evidently have no shame. There is a special place in hell for people like them!

What happened next: Support responses are copy-paste templates with zero factual information No proof of transfer has been provided (no MT103, no SEPA confirmation, no UETR reference) When asked directly "were the funds actually sent?", I never received a clear answer Latest response: "my team needs more time" — after 40 days The core problem: MEXC marks withdrawals as "Completed" without actually sending the funds. When you ask for proof of transfer, they deflect and ask YOU to provide a bank statement instead — which is backwards. The sender is responsible for proving a transfer was made. What I've learned: MEXC operates as an offshore exchange (Seychelles) with no EU financial regulation. There is no regulator to escalate to, no binding timelines, no client protection. If something goes wrong, you are on your own. My advice: Use a regulated EU exchange. They operate under MiCA and you have actual legal protection. With MEXC, you have none. You can try customer service robots but you will just get a copy paste message sorry / contact customer service. When you star making profit, numbers suddenly start changing specially the liquidation price when playing futures… they show you a liquidation price higher then the real price so that you get liquidated without having the chance to DCA. I tried several times to complain to the consumer service but they never seem to understand a word im saying, always asking for screenshots, even though i provide all the demands they always end the conversation with either we get back to you or we get stuck in some kind of loop repeating all the conversation again. Youll be better off using other PROFESSIONAL platforms that are not looking to rip you off. Such a bad experience and so sad to put your trust in a platform only to find out its just a way to take your money.
