The order was a very simple proceedure - within a short span the information and invoice plus the paperback itself OUT FROM THE UNDERGROUD /M Gray was sent to my main address and mailed out in a protected small box.

Initially, I was skeptical about ordering a paperback edition as I thought it would be of lesser quality than the hardback edition. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. The paperback was attractive, and the print and format were very clear. I am pleased that the paperback edition was available.

Slow Customer Service
I ordered several books during a print on demand sale, got them in a really fast turn over only to find that one of the books had the right cover but wrong pages (from a totally different book). Reached out to them and they had at least 4 different people responding to the emails and it took a week just to get them to believe that I had the wrong books (even after sending them pictures twice). That wasn't good enough, and I had to provide the ISBN of the book that was inside the book I wanted (you would think they would know the ISBN of books they published). They ultimately had me print out a label and drop it off at a local UPS store, but I have yet to receive the correct book. I was hoping to have the book for a project I was working on, but at this point it is useless. Terrible customer service. So slow. Very unattentively. Pretty clear they outsource to a company that doesn't know what they are talking about.

Complete and timely delivery of the book ordered by me.
Good but can be tremendously improved
The website is ok but could be improved, there is no way to track where the parcel is when buying a hard copy of the book, the Springer website is a disaster (can’t turn it from German to English for example) I loved the idea of the various regular discounts on purchases but the scope of these discounts is never clear and every time I checked out a book, I came to realize at the last minute that the expected discount would not apply

Highly recommend this academic publishing service
I had three books printed for my research. I don't know where they were printed, but I paid in Euros and live in Australia, so I'm imagining this all happened abroad. It was a little on the expensive side, but I thought it'd be worth it if it worked out and helped my research. It did. Even with the unpredictable mail systems in the world right now, the first book arrived intact and really nicely presented within a couple of weeks. It didn't take long at all. Highly recommend.
