Very good overall service. Highly recommended!! Please check all their terms and conditions … there are quite a few. Service fee is charged for the entire duration your stay even if you shorten your stay (no money back).

Very bad ext
We booked an apartment at London for 2 weeks. When we get there, we realized there are active construction on 3 sides of the building with horrible noise. We ask Blueground to help us with relocation and they were not timely responsive. Eventually after having horrible 6 days and million phone calls and email to them, they canceled our rest of reservation. Also they are not informative about the noise of construction on there booking website, although the landlord mentioned that he told them. Very bad costumer service!

Avoid - they owe me $18,000 rent refund and security deposit
I have rented an apartment from Blueground for 2 years and when I had to cancel the lease witn such cancellation accepted and Blueground agreed to the amount of refund and full security deposit they now owe the return of 6 months rent and security deposit - more than $18,000 from a long term tenant and hide behind a wall of Customer Service pushback and denial you think that is good business practice - disgraceful and trying to get someone to contact you and try and solve the issue is impossible - avoid avoid avoid is all I can say. I will add that I have tried to make direct contact with the CEO of Blueground Alex Chatzieleftheriou via his LinkedIn page and also directy via email and have received no response to date.

Steal your security deposit.
Great apartment, happy with my 6 month rental in London. However, I left the apartment in perfect condition and they confirmed there are zero issues. However, they don't return my security deposit and say "it's an accounting problem". Avoid this company, there are other alternatives that won't steal from you.

My reservation was canceled by blueground a day prior to my arrive to unit in Toronto, Canada.and That caused me a big disasters to my plan .until the moment I am not able and capable to find alternative . We are staying with my son one bed room, he is not comfortable and we are not too. I just receive apologies from blue ground with no real action to my 3 months rent refunds of more than 15k which is desperately needed to move to alternatives.
The reason of cancelation yet not clear. I am waiting for refund since July 4th.
Most probably they are doing interest from the claimed money., or they have issues with their partners and I am the victim of this conflict.
This is the worst experience I have ever had. Frustrations and disappointments this is where I am currently standing.
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1/5)
I would strongly advise anyone considering booking through Blueground to think carefully, especially if the property is managed by one of their partners rather than directly by Blueground.
Only on the day of check-in did I discover that the apartment was hosted by a third-party partner. Whenever an issue arose, Blueground repeatedly asked us to contact the host directly, despite the host rarely answering calls or responding to emails not only to us but, at times, to Blueground as well. It was extremely frustrating to be passed back and forth without anyone taking ownership of the problems.
Our move-in experience was unacceptable. We arrived to find there was no electricity for the first few hours because the meter had not been topped up. The apartment looked as though it had been cleaned after previous guests but then left vacant for a long period. The floors were dusty, the fridge had been left dismantled, the dishwasher was still full of dirty items moulded imagine how horrible, there was a stale smell throughout the property, mouldy plates, flies inside the apartment, and several appliances were not working. I have attached the video and images but they never actually reacted.
We had booked the apartment for 45 days and had already moved all of our belongings from our previous home, making it extremely difficult to relocate again. Instead of settling in, we spent the first weeks continually discovering new problems and reporting them one by one.
The property was only properly cleaned after we had already moved in, by which time we had spent hours cleaning ourselves. The dishwasher was not repaired until around two weeks into our stay. Every new appliance we used seemed to reveal another fault, requiring more emails, follow-ups, engineer visits, and waiting. Many repairs took weeks to arrange and complete.
The most disappointing aspect was the amount of time I had to spend chasing updates. Throughout our stay I sent well over 100 emails simply trying to get issues resolved. A property should be fully inspected, cleaned, and ready before guests arrive not repaired while they are living in it.
Unfortunately, the problems did not end after checkout. We checked out on 10 July, and more than 20 days later I am still chasing the return of my security deposit. I continue to receive vague responses and no clear timeline for when it will be refunded.
This experience caused unnecessary stress throughout what should have been a straightforward stay. Based on my experience, I would not book with Blueground again, nor would I recommend them unless they significantly improve their quality checks, partner management, customer support, and post-checkout processes.

Overdue Security Deposit and No Payment Date named
I cannot recommend Blueground based on my experience (Reservation BCN-1654). I vacated the apartment on 28 May 2026 in accordance with Blueground's move-out instructions, and my security deposit became contractually due 30 days later. No damages or deductions were ever communicated. After the contractual deadline had passed, I sent a formal payment demand. Blueground then informed me that, due to the wind-down of its operations in Spain, it was not in a position to process the payment, could not provide any payment date, and that the recovery available to tenants was being determined as part of the wind-down process. As of today, my security deposit remains unpaid, and I have no clarity as to whether—or to what extent—it will be recovered. If you are considering renting from Blueground, especially where a security deposit is required, I recommend carefully assessing this risk before committing.

Hello Teodora,
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand your concerns regarding the outstanding security deposit and the uncertainty around the timing of the payment.
As part of our decision to wind down operations in Barcelona, we have been managing a complex transition process involving multiple stakeholders and outstanding operational matters. This has not been an easy process, and our teams have been working to handle it as responsibly and efficiently as possible while supporting affected customers.
While we are unable to discuss account-specific details publicly, we will reach out to you directly with an update regarding your case.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Company exiting Spain, not refunding tenants - thanks for reply
Thank you for the reply on booking MAD-3749. For the record: as of 25 July 2026, no direct contact or update has been received, and the deposit remains unpaid — now 30 days past the contractual refund deadline of 25 June 2026. I note your commitment here to "reach out directly with an update" and look forward to it. I will update this review when it arrives, or if it does not.

I am a landlord.Blueground furnished apartments rented my flat for a 3 year tenancy.
In June this year they paid me 2 weeks late. Now we re terminating the tenancy in September because apparently they are winding down operations in the UK.This is not true as they are still advertising for landlords and tenants.
They are refusing to pay me my rent until they handover my property on 11 September.By then they will owe me £5998.
They changed my locks without notifying me.Contravining their lease.
When you try and speak to anyone at the company it is impossible to get an answer from anyone with authority.
I am 71 years old desperately trying to get paid.Their behaviour is despicable.
It's funny they won't give me vacant possession until 11 September because they have a tenant in my property who is paying them but they won't pay me.
I strongly recommend not using them.

Unit not available only a few minutes before move in!
I was informed on my way into my unit that it was uninhabitable. They told me I had a minute to decide if I were willing to move into a hotel until the issue was resolved (an unknown length of time). I said yes for lack of another immediate option. The customer service I have received since then has been truly awful. I also just got an alert from the building I was supposed to move into that they received a service request - a full 24 hours after I was told they submitted it. I am so disgusted. Do not use this 'professional' service.

Beware- Blueground Holds On To Security Deposits
Blueground gave us inoperable keys and fobs, which we had to take it upon ourselves to resolve with the building management, Blueground responds to inquiries with poorly written Ai responses and offers no support. Blueground would close repair tickets without fixing anything in the rental. Blueground held onto our refundable deposit for more than 18 days, after multiple inquiries, I eventually had to contact the credit card company to get the refundable deposit from them. Avoid renting with them if at all possible.

Magically deposit is returned on business day 19 after Amex puts a hold on funds.

Homeowner warning – unpaid rent, told to go to court
We are a homeowner in Istanbul, Turkey, and leased our apartment to Blueground under a written contract. Blueground stopped paying rent in April 2026. As of today, the rent for April and May 2026 remains unpaid.
After repeated follow-ups, the written response I received from Blueground's legal counsel today stated that the company will not pay it in full but just 15% of the total debt and the remaining amount remains unpaid. No payment plan or resolution was offered. I have since had to engage a lawyer and begin legal proceedings to recover rent that is owed under a valid contract.
My experience as a tenant-facing brand may differ from others', but as a property owner I cannot recommend entrusting your home to this company. If you are a homeowner considering leasing to Blueground, be aware of what may happen if payments stop.
Everything stated here is documented in the contract and unpaid amounts.

One star only because zero isn’t an…
One star only because zero isn’t an option. This company has managed my apartment for over two years, and the experience has been consistently poor. Communication with their teams is disorganized and unreliable. They began renovation work in my apartment without notifying me beforehand, then billed me €3,000 for repairs that should have been the tenant’s responsibility. We haven’t received rent payments for several months now, and they’ve stopped responding to us entirely. This isn’t an isolated case. over 100 property owners in Paris are dealing with the exact same issues. Avoid this company at all costs. They cannot be trusted.

Extremely disappointing experience from…
Extremely disappointing experience from start to finish.
My reservation was confirmed for weeks, payment was accepted, and everything appeared to be in order. Out of nowhere, Blueground contacted me claiming there had been a pricing error and attempted to increase the agreed price by more than 50% after my booking had already been confirmed.
When I challenged this and repeatedly asked them to explain the contractual basis for changing the price of a confirmed reservation, my questions were simply ignored.
What made the experience even worse was what happened afterwards. Despite confirming that my refund had been "processed," I never received it. I had to send six follow-up emails, repeatedly chase them for updates, and even argue with customer service over the phone just to get my own money back. They repeatedly failed to respond, despite promising that the refund had already been issued.
The entire process was handled with a complete lack of transparency, accountability, and customer care. What should have been a straightforward booking turned into weeks of unnecessary stress, constant chasing, and poor communication.
Based on my experience, I would not trust Blueground with an important reservation. If something goes wrong, be prepared to spend weeks fighting for answers and even for the return of your own money.

Blueground has not refunded me in 3 months
Blueground left me stranded on a weekend as they did not clean the apartment before I moved in. It was so bad that I could not stay there. They then told me to go to a hotel with a budget of 200 euros per night and they will refund me. It has been 3 months and they refuse to refund me. TERRIBLE SERVICE. This is Blueground Paris
Very nice apartment in downtown Boston. Excellent support by staff. Perfect location.

A company that doesn't live up to the values that it is supposedly committed to
Judging from its website, this is a company that takes pride in being committed to the values of care, excellence, transparency, and trust. After more than 50 days of our official move-out date from an apartment in Lisbon, my family and I are still waiting to receive from Blueground the refund of approx. €4000 of a security deposit plus around €2000 of pre-paid rent. The pre-paid rent was for a booking extension that never became effective, since Blueground ended up exiting the Portuguese market with a 2-month notice. For that simple reason, this is an amount that should have been returned to us long time ago. However, in a spirit of trust and good faith, we accepted that both amounts could be returned to us in a single transfer. It is becoming increasingly clear to us that it was an error of judgement to trust at all in this company. Blueground is openly violating the terms of legally binding contractual agreements, which foresee a 30-day time-window to return the funds. The communication from Blueground has been extremely poor. Generic and standardized emails, which are very far from signalling the commitment to live up to contractual obligations and the recognition of accountability that one would expect from a serious company. According to the latest update we received from Blueground, they expect to provide another update by August 10. Yes, the update is that by that date we can expect to receive another update. So much for care, excellence, transparency, and trust.

Outstanding rental
My experience as a property owner with Blueground
I am writing this review as a property owner based solely on my personal experience.
For several months, I have experienced repeated delays in receiving rent payments that were contractually due. Despite multiple written reminders and formal notices, some payments were made only after significant delays, while other amounts remained outstanding at the time of writing.
Throughout this process, I have kept all communications in writing and retained supporting documentation, including emails, registered letters, payment records and contractual documents.
I have always tried to resolve the situation amicably. I accepted proposals intended to facilitate an orderly handover of the apartment, provided that the contractual obligations would be fulfilled. Unfortunately, the repeated payment delays have made this increasingly difficult.
Communication has also been challenging. they had limited visibility or authority regarding payment decisions, making it difficult to obtain clear commitments or timelines.
As a landlord, this situation has had real financial consequences because ongoing expenses such as mortgage payments, property charges and other obligations continue regardless of whether rent is received on time.
