TOVALA IS SIMPLY OUTSTANDING. THE ABSOLUTE BEST. There was a hiccup with my delivery and I contacted customer service. Evan, from Tovala customer support responded. I am so impressed with Tovala for two reasons: (1) The Tovala product is AMAZING (EXCELLENT QUALITY AND FLAVOR), and, (2) The customer feedback and support provided is AMAZING (no scripted response, actually took the time to read and understand my entire issue and details and responded to each of my comments - this is unheard of with most companies). The level of understanding, the response detail and concern is ABSOLUTELY WORLDCLASS AND JUST ADDS TO THE EXCEPTIONAL LEVEL AND QUALITY OF TOVALA PRODUCTS AND STAFF. Tovala provides great value, amazing food quality and flavor and great customer service !

Outstanding support
Tovala provides outstanding customer service by email as well as by phone. They have a large number of hours to choose from in all their support channels. I got my oven this week and when I had a problem with the delivery, they followed up with the carrier to make sure they would deliver my oven correctly. When I got the oven and I wasn’t sure about set up, I was able to call and get a very patient, pleasant human to assist me. I have enjoyed scanning all kinds of convenience foods, and having them cook perfectly. I never realized how much food I was ruining in the microwave until I got perfectly cooked food in the Tovala oven. I’ve also found a lot of helpful DIY recipes beyond their prepared meals. My meals come next week and I will update this review.

I have heard of many food services w undependable deliveries, late or not at all. I always get my delivery. I feel tovala is a great option for seniors, I love it

I love it
There is a wide variety of meals to choose from each week, and they are always fresh and delicious. It's super easy to use. I only ever had one problem with the meals not coming on time, but customer service resolved the problem immediately, no questions asked. Having Tovala has made my life so much easier. I strongly recommend it to anyone.

Just like (or better than) homemade!
The variety and use of whole foods in the meals make me feel as though I've done my own shopping. Tovala is transparent in what is in the meal so you can easily choose foods for your taste and needs (high protein, Mediterranean, Southern style, seasonal, low calorie). They are not "blah" to the taste.

Worth it
I have tried several meal delivery programs and this is by far my favorite for freshness, quality, and portion size. Deliveries day and time is very consistent. The only thing I would comment on is they don't have the international diversity of plates like a few of the other companies, but it is still (about 4 months ordering) the best I have had.

decent concept
as a whole, the concept is great, saves time and a little money for meals. the choices are decent and the food is really good. the delivery service is absolutely horrendous, im not even sure how many weeks ive gotten deliveries, but ONCE and only ONCE were the instructions followed, every other time they were left elsewhere and most of the time, the box was destroyed by rain

I've tried a number of meal services. Tovala is one to stick with. The meals are amazing and cost comparative to others. However, not sure about using it for more than one person. I've never checked out the meals for 2 or 4 people.

Tovala is a great concept but improvements in shipping are needed.
Tovala is a great concept and the convenience of scanning a QR code for their boxed meals to cook multiple items at the same time in their smart oven is amazing. I really like the smart oven. The portions are getting a little smaller and what was once at set prices for some meal choices now has surcharges. A piece of salmon, steaks, hamburgers have an extra fee on top of the set price of $14 a meal. The filet mignons used to be a little bigger even after paying $10 surcharge are now petite filets. A hamburger with tater tots can cost a couple dollars more if the patty is branded Omaha steaks. I don’t mind paying more but expect more. Now double meal and family sized portions are sold at a dollar or two discount but still count as one meal in your order. The packaging and delivery service is awful. UPS delivers and the ice packs are partially melted making the food cartons soggy sometimes. The past three shipments have box damage or crushed meals. Only one meal had to be discarded of the 8 meals in one of these shipments. They really need find a better way to pack meals without adding extra ice and weight to shipments.

Tovala has really helped me as a single mom!
Tovala has really helped me as a single mom to be able to eat the delicious home-cooked meals that I like with very minimal effort and I’m not wasting food because my daughter is so picky and eats a separate dinner every night anyways. The Customer Service has been incredible. The ingredients are extremely high-quality and the meals are always delicious! I love that I’m getting such a variety of cuisine without the planning effort! Choosing meals every week in the app almost feels like ordering fancy takeout, so then I’m not tempted to waste money on things like UberEats. Honestly, I’ve saved so much money since switching to Tovala! Delivery food always comes soggy and Tovala is fresh, home-cooked after about two minutes of prep (five minutes at the most if there is an extra prep step), and satisfies like takeout from a nice restaurant or a perfect home-cooked meal. I honestly couldn’t recommend this service enough.

I love my Tovala Smart Oven Pro! Plus the Meal Delivery (not required!)
I love my Tovala Smart Oven Pro (with steam). I cooks and reheats perfectly. Reheating day-old bread sticks? The combination of baking with steam revived them as if they were fresh. I love the Tovala meal deliveries, as well. Most meals have some prep. But I've found that prep takes less than a minute from package to oven. Scanning a barcode on the included instruction card is a set-and-forget feature I love. Cook time is roughly 20 minutes from scan to done. I've even cooked a few of the chefs' recipes from the app with easy prep and 1 button press to perfectly cook them. They even have some grocery store items in their database you can scan and automatically cook. I'm a fan!

Tovala, no more…
I’ve been using Tovala for the last 4 to 5 years prices have gone up and customer service has gone downhill I I changed my payment method using the app and then the next morning noticed that it was not changed as pending charges were on that original payment method. I then emailed them and ask their support to change the payment method. They said they were unable to change when the final post occurs on Thursday at noon. I’ve reached out and left a poor review on Tovala’s Facebook page without any false accusations and no profanity and they blocked me from their Facebook page they then also blocked me from Facebook messenger, so I cannot get a hold of them. I will call them next cause I know where their corporate office is in Chicago.. They’ve lost a customer of 4 to 5 years which is about $600 per month for the last 4 to 5 years that I spend with them and because they would not change my payment they have put me in financial situation this week. Poor, poor, poor poor, poor customer service if you cannot do your job of helping your customer resolve an issue Also blocking customers that leave a poor review is a sign of a shady business. I would think twice before using Tovala and look at the other companies with smart ovens and food packs.. Stay away from Tovala. They used to be great, but they’re not so much anymore. I don’t know what happened to their service and their support but it is terrible.

For the last four years, we are proud that we’ve been able to hold our prices steady — even as the cost of ingredients and materials, from produce to meat and packaging, has climbed significantly. But unfortunately, we’ve reached the point where holding prices would mean cutting corners on the quality standards that make our meals worth cooking. Which is why our standard meal price increased by $1 as of last month. Our current deadline for all meals and payment is Wednesdays at 6pm CT. No meals nor payment can be changed after that date. However, if your initial payment fails at that time, you can update their payment before Thursday at noon CT. Our system will then reprocess payments on Thursday @ 12 pm CT for any failed payments. If you have had issues changing your payment between Wednesday 6pm CT and Thursday at noon (once your original payment method was declined), please reach out to our customer service team at [email protected] so we can take a closer look. We saw and responded to all of your posts on Facebook, and appreciate you sharing your thoughts and experience. Unfortunately, in our direct messages with you, there was profanity and threatening language used, which is why we temporarily blocked your account from our page.
