What reviewers say

AI generated

Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers consistently praise the affordable pricing, noting that insurance policies are much cheaper than major carriers while offering completely reliable protection for their valuable electronics. People frequently highlight the remarkably straightforward online sign-up process and the exceptionally friendly, professional assistance provided by the customer support staff. However, some reviewers were not happy with the claims department, specifically mentioning frustrating claim denials and unexpected processing delays for device repairs. A few other people also felt that the burdensome paperwork requirements and communication channels during complex incidents could be significantly improved.

I don't like the fact that my smartphone insurance policy ran out and I was not notified or given the option to repurchase. I had to go on your website and find out that it had expired. I did renew for another year but I will be shopping for other insurance in the future. I think that is very bad business and why wouldn't you want to keep my business and notify me that a payment is due to renew?

Margy, we are sorry to hear about this. Apon review, we do see that the original policy was optioned as Annual with no automatic renewal. However, we do see that a total of 5 Renewal Reminder notices (email and postal) were sent, staring at approximately 60 days prior to the policy expiration date. We have confirmed your current policy is optioned for an automatic renewal, and it as well will receive reminder notification, Automatic Renewal reminders, prior to the renewal as well.

I understand there is a need to prove your loss but Worth Ave group makes you jump through hoops just to get your claim approved. Then makes the policyholder wait a week or more just to get paid. This a phone claim, not an auto claim. Shouldn’t be that difficult.

We are sorry to hear you are dissatisfied Daniel. Apon review, we do see your claim as approved 3 days after filing it, and the same day that you provided your repair estimate, confirmed the device specs, and your ID.

I lost my phone in the water on…

I lost my phone in the water on 4/23/2026 and filed the claim the next day. I tried to use the website to file a claim, but it did not work. The password reset button in the email the system sent did not work either. I called the number on my policy paperwork and was instructed that they could not take a claim over the phone. I had to download the paperwork from the website, attach my original receipt, include a sworn statement (notarized), and email it to the claims department. I completed all of that by 4/24/2026. I did not receive any communication back from them until May 4th. On May 5th, they had me resend the paperwork I had already sent. On May 6th, I had to put in a customer service request for help because I did not hear anything regarding my claim (and still could not get into my online account even after at least 6 emails requesting help). Then, Worth Ave started communicating with a person in my company (which I own) instead of me. Worth Ave's emails were going to his junk mail, and he was not even involved in the claim anyway (crazy). Then, on June 5th, I received an email stating my claim was going to be dismissed because of a lack of paperwork and duration of time—the exact same paperwork I sent in on 4/24 and May 6th. Finally, they said I was getting a check; this was June 5th. I requested that it be sent to the address on the policy. They had a different address and name to send it to—an internal mistake. They said a check would be on the way and to turn down the online payment request. The check date was supposed to be June 19th. The check never came. I saw the online request, accepted it, and got paid $418 and some cents on a policy that cost $167 and a phone that originally cost $806. This was after having to wait two months for payment and over 30 emails back and forth. I SAVED ALL THE EMAILS BECAUSE IT WAS INSANE. I am a fan of Progressive Insurance; currently, I have a boat and one of my cars insured through Progressive. This product diminishes the brand. DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!

We are sorry to hear you initially had login issues but are glad you were able to get your claim filed at that time while the login issue was being resolved. After reviewing your claim, the Claim Department, and your adjuster did all they could to assist with your claim, which they were able to get categorized as a claimable event vs. a "lost" device, typically not covered (see your Policy Booklet/Terms and Conditions under Mysterious Disappearance) for a claim. As such, additional documentation was required from you as this is actual insurance, not a warranty or service contract. We will look into if there were avoidable delays on our process but at this time some of that additional time appeared to be waiting on that additional documentation needed from you. The claim payout (which was minus your deductible) was the value of your device at the time of the claim.

Easy & Simple Online Process

Simple process, easy to find product options and fair pricing to cover my electronics. I'm now covering my Galaxy phone & Lenovo laptop for less than what a major phone company was charging me just to protect my Samsung S24 Ultra. I highly recommend looking into their options and services!

Jasmine Garrett was very friendly, open, knowledgeable, and truly cared about her job to do her job so well to make sure that I was taken care of, and that meant so much to me. You have a lot of people in positions that feel like they get to make the choice, but I felt like she knew what I was going through in the loss that I had taken and she took that personal and I appreciate that so much.
