I have owned my WX170 string trimmer for over 10 years. This product worked great for me until I lost the trim retaining cap. Because I have had no issues using this product around my house, I just ordered a new trimmer (WX170.2) along with a replacement retaining cap for the original one so I have a backup.
I also like the fact that I can use my batteries for any of my Worx Tools and keep them charged so they are ready for work. I understand these may not be ready for industrial use, but for my home they work great.
Nothing Worx. You’re better off buying a goat than a Worx lawnmower.
I purchased a Worx cordless lawnmower and it was defective right out of the box. I noticed that something was wrong because the electrical cord from the start button to the motor was too short. I could not assemble the handle because there was not enough slack in the cord. I detached the cord from its clip and tried to assemble the handle. Then I saw that the handle was entirely out of alignment with the frame. You could not lock the handle in position. It was loose, and it could collapse or flip out of position. When mowing uphill, that would let the mower roll backward onto me. So I didn’t risk my safety trying to get a defective product to work. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning it. Worx is the wrong name for this brand. You might say nothing Worx.
My new mower suddenly stopped working and after troubleshooting online with worx representatives for 3 days warranty is void because the receipt was faded and difficult to read . I could read it but in the photo I sent they couldn't read it so my new mower lasted 2 months and now I'm stuck buying another mower obviously not worx related. Garbage material Garbage parts and garbage warranty
I have a new Worx mower WG751. The mower works fine but it is almost impossible to get the battery out. You need to hold the release button and try to pull it out. I have slender fingers but still cannot get my fingers along the sides to pull it out. Someone with big fingers could not possibly get the battery out. I do not understand how this machine got from the designers to the manufactures to the distributors. It should be recalled!!!!
Worx.com is pretty much useless. All Worx batteries are out of stock. Ordering through this website is virtually impossible. Customer Service is of no existence. I am very disappointed with Worx although I own many of their products.
I have the nitro lawn mower. They do not stock any replacement parts as my blade is shot and am unable to get 1. Keep telling me it is 4 to 6 weeks out and it has been since june and keep hearing 4 to 6 weeks. They will never have replacement parts for their equipment.
Extremely disappointed with WORX customer service. I purchased a tool as a gift, but it ended up being the wrong blade size. Because I missed their strict 30-day return window, they completely refused to accept the return—even though the tool is brand new, completely unopened, and still in the original box. I spoke to multiple representatives and was eventually given a number for the US corporate office. Nobody answers that line, and no one has returned my calls. Save yourself the hassle and buy your tools at Lowes or Home Depot instead; they actually accommodate their customers with reasonable return policies. Will not buy from WORX directly again.
I purchased a Worx lawn mower model 751.2. The mower has worked well, however, I can't say much good about the mower handle. From year 1, the handle started flaking paint. The mower was not ever kept outside. This rust started getting worse. I contacted Worx and they said there was nothing that they could do. This year, right after the warranty expired, the handle completely rusted through from under the handle cushion. Worx will not or cannot provide a repair part. I was not given any way to purchase a repair part. This situation has taken a well rated product to a poorly rated product.
I recently was given a work x weed wacker it seems every 2 years my break by the cover or guard.I called customer service and got no where I even sent photos of what broke. The guy who i talked to had no customer and could care less.So ill never by a work x product again.
As for the tools, I understand they are more of a DIY type, and I am a contractor. I expect the quality to be lower. I gave 1 star because their customer service is nonexistent. I spent over $1000 on a robot lawnmower, and troubleshooting it is maddening. Many of the issues could be easily solved, but no one is listening to or interacting with me. I don’t know how to move forward besides leaving bad reviews and hoping someone will reach out and pay attention. I’d also like to point out that it is the most backward way in the world to have customer service. do nothing until it might affect your bottom line. Disgusting.
I ordered a Worx grass trimmer and paid by PayPal. I did not receive a confirmation or order number from Worx so I attempted several times to contact Worx, no response. I opened a case with PayPal requesting a refund and have received nothing. Do not buy from Worx.
I've spent a lot of time selecting a lawnmower and decided on a Worx... until I read the warranty policy. No local service center, shipping costs paid by customer, etc... it's designed to minimize cost for the company, at the expense of the customer. With such a policy, once you buy the product, it becomes a disposable item, because it's expensive and inconvenient with long delays the minute something goes wrong. Sure, this policy can apply for a cheap disposable toaster, but not for a more expensive product. It's off my list now.
landroid mower, very expensive, total failure after only a few months. then repeated attempts to repair under warranty, with the unit returned each time either damaged or with new faults present. definetly some flaws in the designs, but the after sales service is just appaling given the high price of the products.
I have a few worx tools but recently my trusty drill began to smoke.. even though it was way out of warranty I had good response to repair issues before with them.. so I called and was well treated by a lady! That I was extremely surprised and very thankful to them is to say the least..kind of feeling guilty about the results .. she replaced my discontinued model with a better one and added a battery to boot.. I don’t know what to do
I don’t want to get her in trouble but feel that I should have been charged something.. thank you worx people and if there are satisfactions and recommendations beyond five stars I do here give them to you.
Worx 37cm 40 V 2 battery lawn mower:
Please read to the end for updated experience:
Pretty awful tool registration wb page experience. Only three stars due to being unable to claim the so called extra guarantee due to poor web design.
Be aware that this lawnmower is technically enhanced to increase power output to tackle the tougher parts of the lawn so the up to 550 square metre of lawn that can be mowed may only managed 200 sq m. Of tough going. Smaller, lighter cuts may go further
Good job I had not dumped my old Bosch electric mower so I could finish the job.
Not a good start!
UPDATE three mows on and the machine is delivering good power output and long battery life on a higher mow.
The first mow was on no.2 height on tough over wintered grass.
Second mow raised to no.3 and still did not finish cutting my lawn
Third mow raised to no.4! This was a typical summer mow, dry grass, lots of tall flowering grass. Only cut two bins full, but lawn looks great and the batteries showing only two fifths used. The machine had ran for a good hour. Just a pity the web site is not functioning to get he extended warranty.
I have purchased at least $1,500. Of power tools and lawnmower. I power tools work good as a homeowner. The lawnmower is only half as good as gas lawnmower. The biggest complaint is costumer service.
We bought a WH349 pole saw. The unit worked well, the issue described by other users of the chain needing frequent tightening turned out to be correct, however we found it to be manageable. Unfortunately, when moving the pole in the garage one of the plastic connectors of the pole assembly broke. Worx does not sell any of those parts, so the $180 unit has to be scraped for a probably $1 part not being available. Sad!
The product I am reviewing is the WORX Gutterpro Universal Gutter Cleaning Kit WA4096 and I am using it with WG 543E (which is a 5* great bit of kit)
The good news.
It was delivered within 48 hours!
A bit of looking around resulted in finding a code and getting £8 off the rather excessive price of £50 for the kit of a few pieces of extruded plastic!
Each of the 4 extension tubes that come with it are identical meaning you can use any combination and don’t have to use the max configuration to do a first floor gutter.
The not so good news:
I think this must have been designed for the US market as the diameter of the end curved tube is too great to fit easily into a UK gutter without catching on the roof tiles and/or gutter clips. A small extension tube reducing the diameter would enable one to place the nozzle into the gutter and blast everything out.
At maximum length, the kit is almost too long for a ground floor/ garage gutter but NOT long enough to reach the higher first floor gutters of the average UK home. At 6’3” I had to stand on a platform giving me an extra couple of feet reach to get the top tube near the gutter.
At full extension there is a considerable amount of ‘wobble’ in the tubes. Others have described it as fragility but whilst the poles are sturdy the device can be difficult to guide around the gutter clips and roof tiles due to the waving about. This seems to be in part down to the fixture near the ‘wind’ source being able to rotate. The slack involved is exaggerated by both the air coming out of the top pipe at speed and the length of the kit. I am contemplating fixing something like glass fibre tent poles to give it a little extra rigidity and maybe taping some of the joints.
Though the length of the kit seems to create some problems, it is a great shame that there doesn’t seem to be an extra tube available as it would then make it suitable for UK houses (if stability doesn’t get out of hand)
The debris in my gutters was wet when I tried the device out. The contents were spread pretty far and wide when I ran it along my garage gutter and I would expect when dry, what parts can be reached will be fully removed even faster.
All in all, with adaptions and platforms, I think it may do the job I’m hoping it will, but a few mods for the UK market would make it so much more effective and user friendly. WORX might consider selling single tubes (unless they have tried adding one on and found additional problems), it would help a lot of UK customers.
