YNAB has transformed the way I approach our finances and has enabled me to finally use a budget without feeling like I'm being restricted. I love how easy it is to keep track of everything and it helps us save money!
Great budgeting app, a little pricey though.
I love how this app helps you to see where your money is going and how it helps you to plan and prepare for the future. I have only used it for a year, but during that time I have seen an increase in my savings even while having lost a months pay due to job action in my field of work. I eagerly share about this app any time someone mentions finances as it is a clear way to get ahead and comfortable in life.
YNAB has helped my wife and I be on the same page about our spending, eliminating conflict over money. It’s also helping us reach our financial goals, including saving for a house, school, and some awesome trips we’ve wanted to go on. It’s so helpful!
YNAB was easy to set up and I appreciate the helpful videos. It is a very good feeling to have my money work for me and to know that I am planning ahead for financial security.
Glad to hear it, P! And if you ever have questions or feedback about how we can improve, we'd love to hear from you directly via the app or help @ynab.com. ~ Lauren @ YNAB
Using YNAB, I managed to organize my expenses and am on my way to stop living paycheck to paycheck.
Using YNAB the past year has allowed me give each dollar a job and plan for any surprises. I don’t stress about little purchases anymore
Easy to use I have certainly saved money
Talking about any app being "life changing" is a bit eye roll inducing, but it's the nature of the app that makes it true in this case. For a reasonable cost and time investment to learn how it works and set things up, you get a complete understanding of every dollar coming in and going out. What that means might be different for everyone in terms of their spending, but it gives you back financial control and that impact goes well beyond what a normal app can do. Maybe a different method will work for you, but the YNAB approach clicked for me after 2-3 months and since then it's very little effort for a lot of peace of mind. The app and web dashboard are well designed and mostly intuitive. And when something doesn't make sense, there's a ton of great learning material, including from the YNAB team.
YNAB helps me track all of my spending and never be surprised by a big credit card bill. I am always ready to at the beginning of the month to assign all of my money and know how much will be left over to have fun with.
Easy to use and very insightful of spend since using it
App has been fantastic for budgeting and being able to take more control of our finances
Easy to maneuver, start understanding better and better.
I really enjoy YNAB. We are Dave Ramsey people and had to switch from EveryDollar because our bank was not connecting correctly. It took me a minute to figure it all out, but once I did, it’s been smooth sailing. It connects with both of our banks and makes budgeting super easy! I also love that my daughter can use it for her budgeting as well.
The learning curve was a bit of a struggle when I started, but that's just because I struggle with budgets in general. But it's super flexible and you can undo any mistakes. There are plenty of how-to videos online. Every update keeps making it better. I can't complain about it at all.
It is useful to see where the money in the bank needs to go and where the spending has been.
This app does not work with Australian banks. They charged me for a year subscription and won’t give a refund despite it not being able to provide its most basic function. Total waste of money, there are free budgeting apps out there that work with Aussie banks I suggest checking them out
I can understand how this would leave a sour taste, TestedScores, and I appreciate you sharing about what happened. While we do our best to be upfront about the regions where automatic imports are available, that doesn't change how disappointing it is when you can't use a feature that you're counting on. Regarding your refund, we're happy to issue a prorated refund if you signed up through our website directly, but subscriptions managed by a third-party store like Apple or Google are subject to their own terms. I'd recommend reaching out to them directly, if you haven't already, and if you're unsure send us a message in-app or to [email protected] and we'll point you the right way! - Caity @ YNAB
Best budgeting app ever! As someone with ADHD, I'm shocked I'm still using it a year later, it's just that good! There is a bit of a learning curve, but nothing a couple of videos and Google searches can't fix.
Revolutionised how I treat my personal finances - there’s other zero sum budgeting tools out there but YNAB is the most polished software on the market. If you’re unsure, take full advantage of the free trial to see if works for you
