They are clever scam artists.
They overcharge for every item.
They then ask for extra money for selected items to drain more money from you.
They then over weigh items so they can further steal money from over charging for post.
Ontop of that the post insurance is a scam, if items arrive broken they refuse to honour it.
I caught them over charging for items and asking for extra money by contacting one of the sellers who confirmed it was all a scam technique.
Then they fight to prevent refunding you, demanding you cancel dispute before refund fully knowing that you lose all buyer protections by doing so.
They then add a higher amount of money to your balance to try convince you into doing this... they have utter control over the withdrawal process so they can simply wipe the balance and leave you completely robbed.
These guys are utter scum to the highest levels.
Never EVER use these people they will rip you off ∨ steal from you.
YOYBUY IS A SCAM.
Update: It took over 2 hours and 30 minutes of none stop customer service raging for them to finally give in and send my refund. They kept telling me they would leave the dispute to sit, holding this extra $60 dollars they added to my account balance as a trick to make me cancel the dispute so they could simply cancel the withdrawal. This is the most shady website I have ever seen. Utter scumbags.

This is another horrible Chinese company. Currently experiencing problems with them. They want payment of the transport fee, prior they have established the actual package weight. And they told me they will block my packages until I pay.
Highly recommend to be AVOIDED !!!

So I bought some clothes for around 96$, they took 105$ ( 9$ their taxes).After two days they froze my account because "it was a large amount of money"-they said.
Waited like 3-4 days so they can unfreeze my account, and then another 3 days or so for them to actually order the items,I was talking to them by email asking about my order status because on the website it didn't show me that i had any order, but eventually I told them that i'd report them, only then they fixed my account and actually sent the items to me.they take much more money than they should, shipping was too expensive (64$ in 20-45 days), they will also tell you that your product weighs more than it does, I ended up paying 170-180$ for a product of 96$.
So if you are in a hurry to receive your item or if you do not want to pay double the price of the product, I advise you to find another agency!

Price for my item was: $33.12
I paid this straight away via paypal and paid the paypal fees.
They told me the estimated weight was: 1.034 Kg and calculated a price from that for shipping.

They then come back to me and tell me the actual weight was 1.330 Kg. They were wrong by 300g!!
And then they told me to pay even more money, and again, more paypal fees, just because they were unable to weigh my item properly.
Overall, I paid 3 times the paypal fees and my $33.12 item ended up costing $66.53 after expensive shipping.
Shipping = expensive but pretty fast (around 7 days)
Service fee = reasonable, around $5.
Photo fee = $2. Should be free as your other competitors are not charging for such a service.
Please do not mess around again with "estimated weight". Tell me the real weight next time so I do not have to be charged multiple times for extra money transfer fees.
You were wrong by over 300 grams.

Might be good if you don't need a refund and don't mind paying exorbitant extra fees.
Be careful using this site for Taobao shopping and use Paypal and/or credit card to protect you from their bad business practice.
I tried to get a refund on a item I no longer wanted to buy. The item was a pre-order so I just had to pay for the item. As of now their refund policy states your money will return to original purchase method. That did not happen for me, they refunded it to the Yoybuy wallet and told me just to transfer it to my PayPal. That seemed suspicious to me so I contacted their online chat/help desk to request they refund me as stated in their own FAQ. They were no help and tried to persuade me to transfer from the Yoybuy wallet to my papal. I still didn't trust it, and looked up reviews, and found out it would be a bad choice to do as the online chat said. I contacted PayPal who had me open a dispute for the refund, as they recommend this was the best option. After a few days Yoybuy suddenly froze my account, I could no longer login and would have to contact their customer service department to fix it. Eventually PayPal was able to help me get my refund.
Also unrelated to my refund compared to other Taobao services Yoybuy adds on way more additional service fees than other sites.

i will rate this poor all they can think of is their side only not the buyers side.they did not allow me to use my credit card for the amount of $227.34 and said for security purpose and they advice me to use money transfer. how about myside if i didn't receive my item?.. it's difficult to trust money transfer..
