Like so many I only needed one document converted. Paid for a weeks access which cost £1.99. I was then charged for £39.99 a few days later. I have now gone through my bank for the money to be returned and cancelled my card.. They a certainly not as transparent as they should be and would advise them to make sure the customers are clear when it comes to their terms.

Avoid this service at all costs! I only used their tool once for a €0.90 trial period, making sure NOT to sign up for any ongoing service. Despite this, they automatically enrolled me in a monthly subscription without my explicit consent and charged my card for two consecutive months, stealing €80 in total!
This is a complete scam and a highly predatory business model designed to trick people into hidden recurring payments. Customer service is unhelpful, and getting your money back is a nightmare. Do not trust them with your card details! I have already canceled and demanded a full refund, and I am launching a chargeback dispute through my bank. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

I only took out a week trial just to do a few pages.
No sign of you must cancel within a week or a subscription will be taken out. They are stealing money
Im now down my food money thanks to these nasty people.
They are refusing to refund me as its their contact.

They let you upload your file, process it, make you wait… and only then hit you with a paywall. That’s not a free service, that’s a trap.
If you’re going to charge, say so upfront.

I used ZoomConvert once and have now been charged £39.99 for a subscription that I never knowingly signed up for.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I did not even have an account with them. After seeing the charge, I created an account today to investigate, only to find no subscription information and no way to cancel whatever I have been charged for.
I have contacted support requesting a refund and cancellation, but the whole experience feels misleading and extremely concerning. Customers should be able to clearly see what they are signing up for and have an easy way to manage or cancel subscriptions.
Very disappointed and would advise others to check their bank statements carefully after using this service.

I paid £0.90 for a one off conversion in February but I’ve just been charged £39.99 for a service I did not ask for and certainly DO NOT WANT! This appears to be a “subscription” that you agree to when you pay your initial fee which absolutely wasn’t clear - obviously how their money is made! I’ve emailed the support address, respectfully asking for a refund awaiting a response. Not going to hold my breath given the experience of others in these reviews.
