They won't give you a replacement for an incomplete toy without a receipt
I love the toys they sell. They are fun and addicting for both adults and kids. I bought a Disney Snacks Minis mystery ball. I got the Cheshire Cat hot dog. The ball was missing some slices of onion that are supposed to go on top of the hot dog. I emailed, with pictures. They wanted to see a picture of the bar code, which I had saved, and they wanted a picture of the receipt. I bought this at a grocery store. I check my grocery receipts to make sure I'm not overcharged and then I toss them. I don't know anyone who keeps all of their receipts! I guess I shouldn't have assumed the toy I bought would have everything they said would be in there? They basically told me I'm SOL. I paid for an incomplete product and the company isn't willing to make it right. Their policy allows them to keep more money in their pockets, even when their products fall short. It's not cool. All I wanted were the onion slices!
Please Zuru be more careful with the amount of bricks in your Max builds. I have built many of them and they have at least one piece missing. Makes me unhappy and I am 70 years old. I love Zuru and when I can afford them I treat myself to something in the Zuru range. That includes the surprise balls. Zuru it is easy be aware of the details in all your range. I know you can do better!
Truly awful customer service. Purchased a mini brand pod at a cost of £10. Several pieces missing. Emailed customer service to request either replacement parts or a new pod. Response after several days was that they do not have individual parts. Clearly no desire to supply a new pod. Response shows they could not care less. Would give zero stars if possible.
If I could give a minus stars that is what I would do. Needed a simple replacement piece for an expensive toy. They told me they have no replacement pieces and to reach out to the retailer for help. They can't help. They don't have a spare pieces. Terrible customer service. Terrible options terrible service. Don't buy from this company. I could go on and on but I have the short next week.
Wish I could give the website 0! The toys are phenomenal but the website it an actual embarassment. MOST of their products, including very current and popular ones, either don't appear on the website at all or have extremely minimal or even 0 info available to be viewed. Literally the best you can possibly hope for is a very vague overview that is usually about a whole collection and not about specific products from it. Pray tell, who in the hell is going to visit the website wanting to get way WAY less information than they would get from using Google or from any website that sells their products? That brings me to the next outrageous shortcoming. They straight up don't sell their own products. I do not care what their excuses are for that, it's just downright dumb. Is a more expensive to sell directly? Then do what every single other company with that problem does and make the website prices higher than everywhere else's prices. It's an EXTREMELY COMMON practice and it makes sense. Most people will buy elsewhere for cheaper which limits the sales to a manageable amount. If other places sell out of something that somebody wants immediate and is willing to pay extra for to get sooner then they would have the option, which benefits them but also obviously Zuru. But no, they'd rather keep everything looking and functioning like they were formed just yesterday instead of making any real effort like any self respecting well established brand should be trying to do. Nobody likes their website but they don't care so apparently it exists just for them and not for customers. I wish the products that I want were made by a company that takes enough pride in what they do to have a real, functional, useful website instead of one that looks and functions like they paid someone's 15 year old nephew to spend a weekend making it.
Absolute garbage product! Total waste of money and time!
Title: Absolute garbage product! Total waste of money and time!
I bought the Zuru Bunch O Balloons from Walmart for $19.99, and it was a complete nightmare.
The box heavily advertises "self-tying and rapidly filling," but that is a complete lie. The quality of the latex is incredibly cheap and defective. I tried filling them exactly as instructed—placing them directly into a bucket full of water to support the weight—and three-quarters of them popped instantly before they were even full!
To make matters worse, the ones that didn't pop refused to drop off automatically. The O-rings were completely stuck, and the only way to get them off was to pull them off manually one by one, which caused even more balloons to pop.
I ended up losing 3/4 of the balloons before even getting to play with them. This is an expensive, frustrating piece of junk. Do not waste your $20 on this garbage. Zuru should be ashamed of selling such defective inventory!
Dreadful customer service - apparently having a faulty item with all of the original packaging and batch codes isn't enough evidence of having bought a FAULTY product. Because they have decided that consumer protection only applies if you can show where you bought it. Not my first poor customer experience here, shouldn't have been surprised. Waited 3 weeks for no help. Looking at the other reviews I am not alone. Glad the folks at the top are taking a "not my problem" attitude to quality and customer service.
Bought this Smashers wrestler from Rural King today. My kid opened it and the hand snapped off within seconds. The plastic wasn't even brittle, it was just weak where it should be solid. Total waste of money for a toy that breaks on first use. Do not buy.
I got the Zuru slime mart donut and the instructions said to put the doh slime in the donut mold but when I took it out it just crumbled and I tried 10 times! it sucks.
Bought multiple mini brands as Christmas presents practically all had missing items .contacted customer service which took forever to answer .they asked loads of questions 1 at a time rather than all in one go wasting time. all proof sent .they promised to send replacement.4 months later still no replacements .many emails sent with just empty promises and no tracking as was. Told they would send Now not even answering emails. Do not purchase.
I’m really disappointed that a couple of Kiwi entrepreneurs built a toy company that quickly ends up as landfill waste. At first, I was excited to see New Zealand represented on the global stage, until I bought their products. They consistently fall apart under regular kids’ play and don’t hold up at all.
Bought a fuggler which unfortunately, upon opening had glue stains over it. Tried to return it but it could not be returned due to having been opened. Emailed customer support and have had no reply in over a week. Terrible customer service!
I try to avoid giving 1 star reviews but this is the exception
Purchased an egg type toy for my daughter, when we got it home we found it was missing multiple items
Raised with customer support, 3 weeks went by with no reply despite multiple emails from myself
Absolutely avoid. Will never be purchasing from this company again
My daughter received mini fridge as a Christmas gift. The blue light didn't work at all to harden the molds / food creations as it is supposed to. I emailed them and never heard back. Why bother even having a customer service contact?
Horrible products. They advertise they are affordable and easy to put together but that is far from the truth. The garden sets aren’t worth what we paid for. They easily fall apart. DO NOT BUY!!!!!
I purchased an x shot gel blaster that was broken out of the box . Got in touch with customer service who said they sent a replacement 3 months ago. I haven't received it so I guess I wasted 50$ on a cheap designed but well marketed product
I bought the mini brands fill the fridge, refrigerator. It should come with a make it yourself pudding and with a soda can and ice scoop. You can't get these items by yourself. And a working UV light. Well I got 2 puddigs and no soda can or ice scoop. And the UV ligt was not working well, and that ruined the puddings en some other make it yourself items. I filed a complaint and sent multiple request saying could you please look at my request? It took them 4 weeks to finally awnser me. They asked me for a lot of proof, and I gave them all of it. In a few days they responded each day on all my questions. Then they said they were ready for compensation, and all they offered was a random ball with 5 items in there, and I already collected a lot so there would be nothing new in it for me. When I said I was dissapointed with this and asked if they could do anything else, like replace the refrigerator that I got because it was not working and not complete like they advertised!? They start ignoring me. So now I have sent them 5 mails already asking for a responde, but they have just been ignoring me for the past 2 weeks. SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! AND THAT FOR SUCH A BIG COMPANY
I bought an xshot, after 30min using it, It was broken and I cannot use It not yet. The item was terrible, poorly designed and assembled, and broke after just a few minutes of use. After 15-30 minutes, the small piston has come off (it was only press-fitted) from the shaft/plunger and can no longer push the water out. This is an absurd design flaw of the object.....8€ wasted It's a terrible product. Further, the assistance was terrible, my request for a replacement for a defective item, even after sending photos, was denied.
