DHgate

🚨 DHgate is BLOCKING Negative Reviews!!! 🚨

I've discovered something which should worry anyone using DHgate... 🚨 DHgate is actively misleading buyers by actively blocking negative product and seller reviews! 🚨 It's bad enough that DHgate skews ratings by defaulting every review to 5⭐ when the buyer hasn't submitted a review in time, but it's now clear DHgate is blocking and removing negative reviews. This helps explain why you see so few negative 1⭐ product reviews and why most sellers / stores have near 100% positive ratings. I've lots of examples, but here's the latest example which proves what DHgate is up to... I received an item full of defects and missing parts. The buyer didn't care. I had to raise a claim. DHgate's solution was a 20% refund. This solution wasn't satisfactory (but that's another story), as it penalised me and benefitted the fraudulent seller. Obviously I wanted to leave a negative review. However there are two challenges: (1) The review free text box blocks negative comments about the seller or the product, so it's very difficult to write something which is accurate and will be accepted. Using words like damaged, defective, fake, poor quality or counterfeit can be enough to block your review. (2) IF your review is accepted by the free text box but is overly negative, the system then blocks it from being posted and you have no ability to edit it. Your opportunity to leave any review is gone! I managed to write something which was 'accepted' when I pressed 'Submit button'. The review was very negative about the product and the seller - it look me a long time of re-wording to get something which was 'accepted'. However, shortly after submission, DHgate systematically dissociated my review from the transaction, so my written review disappeared and there's no negative review on either the product or the seller's store!!! So other potential buyers checking the reviews, they will not see my negative review. And to make things worse, I've spotted many of the reviews for the product are fake. So DHgate is allowing fake reviews, and removing negatives ones! Upon checking the product listing, my review does not appear against the product or the seller. So the seller appears with a near 100% satisfaction score and the product is 5⭐due to the default system policy. This isn't a one-off. This is repeated systematic removal of negative reviews by the DHgate platform. This practice is deeply harmful to buyers. How can you really know if a product or seller is good, or indeed, bad? Why is DHgate so determined to mislead buyers? Once a buyer has a poor experience, they're not going to buy again, so it seems like DHgate is deterring any customers it has from buying again. SUMMARY: We all know DHgate is a platform heavily used for purchasing counterfeit or duplicate products, however, DHgate is clearly designed to mislead buyers and supports fraudulent sellers at every opportunity. This is a mistake. When a buyer cannot trust the platform they are buying from, they will begin to look elsewhere. This is why DHgate is failing to grow and buyers are turning to other platforms to buy Chinese goods, as DHgate's policies penalise buyers. * The blocking and removal of negative reviews shows that DHgate is actively misleading buyers, is rewarding criminality and tells you all you need to know about this company *

Ciciful

Buyers Beware! China-based retailer. Not trustworthy!

Proceed with extreme caution! Ciciful is masquerading as a normal online store. It is not. The website is really the front-end for a China-based store, similar to the big Chinese retailers like Ali. This is why shipping takes such a long time. The major problem, from my experience and reading online reviews, is that Ciciful does NOT have products in-stock. Instead, Ciciful has to source items from the manufacturer when you place an order. This takes a lot of time in addition to the shipping. For example, I ordered an item which the website clearly states “The item is in stock and will be shipped in 24 hours at the latest”. Almost two weeks passed and my item still hadn’t shipped, so I contacted Ciciful. They responded within 24 hours (which to be fair is positive!) and confirmed they couldn’t fulfil my order anytime soon. Instead, Ciciful cancelled my order and processed a refund. Now, due to exchange rate fluctuations, I was actually refunded less than I paid, plus I wasted time placing an order which Ciciful couldn’t fulfil. This is simply not good enough! Ciciful cost me time and money and offered nothing in exchange. Also, Ciciful told me they would remove the stock and dispatch claim from their website. However, now, several weeks later, the item’s webpage still states the item is “in stock” and “will be shipped in 24 hours”. Ciciful CANNOT be trusted. The most frustrating thing about Ciciful is that the website lists so many unique items that are difficult to find elsewhere, but it is incapable of delivering any items quickly. If Ciciful could dispatch items quickly and with fast shipping, it would be unbeatable. So, save yourself time and money… pay attention to the Trustpilot reviews and buy from another online website. Even if you can’t find the exact same item, don’t order from Ciciful – it is just going to waste your time, energy and money. If you shop with Ciciful, you will be disappointed.
