Maskapai penerbangan dengan layanan penuh yang beroprasi sejak Mei 2013. Batik Air melayani penerbangan ke berbagai kota di Indonesia dan Internasional. Merupakan bagian dari Lion Air Group.
Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many travelers frequently encountered frustrating flight delays, poor seating conditions, and a complete lack of communication from ground staff during their journeys. Consumers also reported dealing with unhelpful customer support teams, unexpected heavy fees for checked baggage, and sudden schedule changes that ruined their travel plans.
Some reviewers were happy with the friendly cabin crew, tasty meals, and overall smooth, on-time flights that successfully met their expectations. A few other people also mentioned that the check-in process went quite smoothly and baggage collection at the airport was very quick.
Batik air staff in Delhi airport is very rude and asking money for issue boarding pass.
If passenger didn’t pay money they miss there flight and staff talk very rude.
Overall passenger miss flight without any reason.
When passangers ask reason in black and white they talk very rude.
83 days and still no refund. Status stuck on "Processing" since May.
I requested a refund on 15 May 2026. It is now 6 August. That is 83 days. Almost three months.
In that entire time I have received exactly nothing. No refund. No confirmation email. No update. No phone call. No explanation. Not one human being at this airline has contacted me about my own money.
Their status page still shows step 2 of 3, "Processing," with a cheerful little message saying I will receive a confirmation email "once completed." It has said that since May. It is the same screen, the same words, week after week, month after month.
Eleven weeks. For a refund they already approved.
I have now filed a chargeback with my card issuer and lodged a complaint with the aviation regulator, because that appears to be the only language this company understands. Reading other reviews here, I am clearly not alone. The same story appears again and again: refund agreed, then silence, then automated replies that answer nothing, then more silence.
If you are considering booking with Batik Air, understand this clearly. If anything goes wrong with your flight, you are unlikely to see your money again without escalating to a regulator. Their refund process is not slow. It is functionally broken.
Book with an airline that returns money it is not entitled to keep.
A very disappointing experience with Batik Air Malaysia.
I travelled with my family of four and unfortunately our experience with Batik Air was extremely disappointing, mainly due to the baggage handling process and the lack of customer support.
During our outbound flight, we discovered at the airport that checked baggage was not included in our booking, although we genuinely believed it was included when making the reservation. We were asked to pay approximately MYR 2,700 to add baggage.
I requested to speak with a manager to explain our situation and look for a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, the way the situation was handled by the airport management was very disappointing. We did not feel listened to, supported, or treated as valued customers.
Because no reasonable solution was offered, my family had no choice but to purchase alternative flight tickets with another airline on the same day, resulting in an additional cost of approximately EUR 480.
Before our return journey, Batik Air changed our flight schedule. I contacted customer service several times before departure to request assistance and a goodwill solution. Unfortunately, I did not receive a clear answer before the baggage purchase deadline, and I was forced to purchase baggage myself to avoid further problems at the airport.
The main issue is not only the baggage policy, but the overall customer experience:
unclear baggage information during booking;
lack of assistance from airport staff when facing an unexpected issue;
very poor responsiveness from customer service.
A company is truly judged when customers encounter problems. In our case, Batik Air Malaysia failed to provide the level of support expected from an airline.
I strongly recommend future passengers carefully verify baggage conditions before booking.

le manque de clarté des informations lors de la réservation ;
l'absence d'aide réelle du personnel au sol ;
Do not fly this airline. They delay/anticipate flights last minute. The flight is bumpy all the way. Landing and take off are awful (do they train their pilots on flight simulator?). You can always count on them to give you the worst experience.
We did Langkawi- Perth with layover on KL.
Our first flight from Langkawi to KL was rescheduled to be. 5 hours earlier, which we made work. The second flight from KL to Perth had 5 hours delay, we were never notified by the airline, got stuck in Kuala Lumpur in the middle of the night, staff was extremely rude, and even the delayed flight departed hours later. Don’t fly with Batik air
Will NEVER fly Batik Air ever again. Every flight I've been on has been either delayed by hours, cancelled or had issues like double booking of seats. Horrible lackadaisical attitude. All the delayed flights from KLIA1 today were Batik Air. Never again! You just lost a customer
Worst airline with multiple changes over a short period of time and no notice of change of your next transit flight.
Do not use Batik Air at all cost. Cost you more in the end and they reschedule your flight to cheaper flight
Scamming thieves, they wont let you book a wheelchair at the time of your booking but only on check in when thay say they will be a charge but refuse to say how much it will be. Then at the airport they hit you with a 700,000 irp absolutely ridiculous charge considering Air Asia charge 100,000 for the same service.
If id realized the price i would definitely not booked with these thieves, disgusting, bleeding money from someone with mobility issues. This is after a 5 hour change of schedule and a further departure time
NEVER AGAIN
Took a flight on 24 of July 2026 from Kuala Lumpur to Tashkent. With 4,5 hours delay keeping all of the passengers inside of the plane without turning aircon on! Moreover the crew was keeping to lie during whole time that the aircon is on and it just time to cool down the cabin… After 2 hours of delay, after the passengers started to complain the crew offered the water to passengers.. The plane itself is completely outdated : monitors are not working, no cold water in the toilets, only hot, and the main thing- space between the chairs, it is extremely narrow, and this kind of plane is surely cannot be used for 8 hours flight !
I think everyone was right with this airline. Probably worst globally. They just cancels flights to a date they wish to. Their refund system is worst. No one is contactable in their company. They talk thru machine which has not empathy. Please guys don’t book this airlines in your life time. I wonder if their CEO is looking at this message. I was on flight OD572 from Hanoi to KL for 17/7 and they changed to 19/7 without an email. Arrived at the airport and no staffs here and airport info counter doesn’t know anything about this airlines
My experience with Batik Air has been extremely disappointing
My experience with Batik Air has been extremely disappointing and has cost me both time and a significant amount of money.
I booked a return flight from Kuala Lumpur (KUL) to Colombo (CMB) well in advance. However, Batik Air suddenly changed the departure schedule for my outbound flight, forcing me to rearrange my travel plans. To make matters worse, because the original flight was changed, I had to pay again to select seats since my previously chosen seats were no longer available.
Unfortunately, the same thing happened to my return flight. Batik Air changed the schedule again, leaving me with no practical option but to cancel my return ticket and purchase a completely new ticket with another airline to match my original travel date. The replacement ticket cost me nearly twice as much as my original booking.
This raises serious concerns about how the airline manages its flight schedules. It appears that multiple flights are opened for booking, only for passengers to be consolidated onto fewer flights later. If this is indeed their operating practice, it unfairly shifts the financial burden and inconvenience onto customers, who are forced to adjust hotels, transport, leave arrangements, and often pay again for seat selections.
Another major issue is the airport experience. Batik Air's check-in and baggage drop process consistently results in excessively long queues. The lack of sufficient counters and inefficient passenger handling creates unnecessary congestion and stress, especially for families, elderly passengers, and those travelling during peak hours.
Airlines should be held accountable for frequent schedule changes that result in additional costs for passengers. Regulators should closely examine these practices to ensure airlines are not over-selling schedules and later consolidating flights simply to maximise profits at the expense of customer convenience.
I understand that occasional operational changes are unavoidable, but changing both the outbound and return flights for the same booking is unacceptable. Combined with poor airport operations and additional seat selection costs, this has been one of the worst airline experiences I have had.
I will think very carefully before booking with Batik Air again and cannot recommend this airline to anyone who values reliable travel plans.
Why is this airline even still in business? I’ve been blocked on their website for just trying to look at baggage pricing. That’s insane.
Now they’re charging 700inr OVER what is stated on the website, per kilo.
I booked a flight from Tawau to KL recently. I had no trouble booking my seat on line. The cabin crew were friendly and helpful. I paid for baggage. I also was given a meal (which I didn't know about). I would fly with them again.
Our flights were delayed 3 hours both ways. Minimal communication. They don’t have a phone number you can contact except for WhatsApp which is a virtual assistant. The only way to get in touch is email but they don’t respond to those either. The staff aren’t friendly and you can’t even buy anything on board without a physical credit card.
Absolute nightmare from check-in to arrival – Stranded without luggage in Tokyo
My family and I recently flew with Batik Air Malaysia, and it was one of the most disorganized and frustrating travel experiences we have ever had. The issues started immediately at check-in. The agent double-ticketed me and completely missed my daughter's ticket. I had to catch the error myself and correct the agent. Then, at the gate, we were held back and forced to wait while watching other passengers clear and board before we were finally allowed on the plane.
The chaos continued in the cabin. The flight attendants completely lost control of the seating arrangements, allowing passengers to play 'musical chairs' and take seats that weren't originally theirs. To make matters worse, the in-flight service was incredibly poorly timed; they handed out passenger meals just after the captain announced we would be landing in 15 minutes.
The final straw was arriving at Narita Airport in Japan to find that none of our luggage made it to the baggage claim. Batik Air misplaced the luggage for my entire family, along with several other passengers. We are now stuck in Tokyo without clothing, toiletries, or basic essentials.
Between the sheer incompetence at check-in, the utter lack of professionalism from the cabin crew, and losing an entire family's luggage, I cannot recommend Batik Air to anyone. Save yourself the stress and book with an airline that actually cares about its passengers and their belongings.
Useless airline, don't fly them as you will pay double
Useless airline. Had checked baggage included on my booking. Go to check in and staff say we don't have checked baggage. Show them email of booking but adamant we don't had to pay extra to get our bags home. Try to email them after and just pass the blame to everyone else and won't help. Rip off airline don't fly and hopefully they go bankrupt soon and stop ripping customer off
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Batik Air was so poor that I feel other travellers should be warned.
My journey was marked by repeated delays, poor communication, conflicting itinerary information, and a clear lack of professionalism from Batik Air staff.
On 4 July, I was booked on Flight OD194 from Perth to Kuala Lumpur, scheduled to depart at 11:59 pm. The departure was delayed multiple times, first to 3:15 am and then again to 3:50 am. As a result, I missed my 9:30 am connecting flight to Mumbai.
What made the situation worse was the lack of communication. The check-in staff had little useful information to provide, leaving passengers unable to plan properly or understand what was happening. Batik Air provided me with a meal voucher, but when I requested temporary accommodation during the long wait in Kuala Lumpur, that request was refused. In the end, my travel agent, Gotogate, had to step in and rebook me onto a Malaysia Airlines flight departing at 7:35 pm.
Another major issue was the conflicting itinerary information Batik Air sent me for my return journey. The itinerary written in the body of the email was different from the itinerary shown in the attached electronic e-ticket. The attached electronic e-ticket was the correct version, which made the email itself misleading and unprofessional. Passengers should not be sent two different versions of the same booking, especially for an international journey.
The return journey was no better. My Flight OD216 from Mumbai was scheduled to arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 7:00 am but did not land until about 8:37 am. My onward Flight OD193 from Kuala Lumpur to Perth, scheduled to depart at 2:00 pm, was then delayed until 5:00 pm. By that point, it was obvious that this was not a one-off problem but a pattern of disruption across the trip.
The customer service throughout was also disappointing. The ground staff showed very little engagement with passengers, and even basic courtesies often seemed absent. The cabin crew appeared underprepared, with repeated mistakes during announcements followed by multiple apologies. Overall, the service felt disorganised and well below the standard expected of an international airline.
This trip was especially important to me because I was travelling to India to see my seriously ill grandfather. Every hour mattered, and Batik Air's delays cost me valuable time with him that I can never get back.
Delays can happen with any airline. What matters is how the airline communicates, supports passengers, and handles disruptions. In my experience, Batik Air failed badly on all three.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise travellers to avoid Batik Air, especially for international or time-sensitive travel
