The costume is well made, good materials. But the customer service, oh good lord let me tell you. When I first placed my order with them, their website timed out on me, but still placed the order. The confirmation email then went into my spam folder, making me think that I had to place the order again. So I did. Upon realizing this mistake (and my card being charged INSTANTLY for double the price) I emailed them to try and get this rectified and cancel the first order. Four days later I get an email from them, very sparsely worded that they would cancel it. No word on a refund. A few more days pass, still no refunded money. So I sent another email on May 31st REQUESTING my money back, this time getting a rather prompt reply a day later. It has been six days since then and I still have not received my money back. Be careful when using this company and pray you don't have to go through what I did. Because from the look of things they fully intended on keeping my money.
I am very upset with this website/company to be totally honest. From what I've heard, the cosplay are quality made but I wouldn't know because I haven't heard about when mine is even going to be shipped. I paid the extra $30+ to have it expedited because I need it by THIS weekend. On their website, it says, "2 weeks expected" and I ordered it over a week ago. But from what I've read, I won't see it for another few months. I want to just cancel my order since I haven't heard from any of the 3-5 messages/emails I've sent out and I've already been charged. Absolute crap. I don't pay $150+ for something I'm not even going to get in time to use it for the convention I'm going to.
I ordered Black Star (Soul Eater) wig and shoes from them on February 16th, paying the extra $30 shipping charge to ensure I received them "A maximum of two weeks" from the order date. This is as quoted on their website.
Having waited until March 2nd, I contacted them to confirm my order status, and it turns out they haven't even sent them out yet! I needed these for my first Comic Con Cardiff experience this weekend and they have totally let me down.
I'm so disappointed given that I haven't been out for a single weekend since coming back to University, and this was the one weekend I allowed myself to be free of work and study with my friends and partner.
However I can't participate in the same way because they didn't even bother to contact me which would have given me the chance to go out and find something else.
Totally unacceptable service and they were not in the least bit apologetic in their response to my e-mail.
Not recommended in the slightest.
I recieved my cosplay and it was dirty , damaged and didnt fit right the sleeves were too tight hurting me and cutting off the blood to my arm. there was black spots and dirt on it and the hem was damaged. I asked for a refund..they said its supposed to be that tight and just wash it... I can't wash out the damage...
On Febuary 6th I ordered a costume for Anime Boston (1st week of April). I wanted the costume to arrive with plenty of time before the event, so I paid the extra $40 for 10 day shipping. The order was not shipped out until March 6th. When I contacted customer service they unappologetically told me " We are just back from the holiday.... Please do not worry. You will receive them in March." I received my order on March 12th, and when I opened the package all the elastic was stretched. I attempted to call customer service by phone, but their customer service is only open after 8PM.
This company is awful!
I ordered Madoka Kaname shoes from them.
The character Madoka wears rounded high heeled red mary janes with large bows on the back and crisscrossing straps.
The picture Miccostumes advertised was very nice, with a heel and rounded toe just as the character has.
When I got the shoes, they looked like what you would see a business man wearing. They had a large outward bulge like in a mens shoe and a square toe. ((Keep in mind, I ordered woman sizes)) and had NO HEEL AT ALL. They were flats. The crisscrossing straps were broken, and the shoe was extremely poorly put together. The smell coming from the shoes could be smelled on the other end of my 6000+ sqft home. All I know is I made sure to wash my hands and my couch ((where the shoes sat)) because I have no idea if what that smell was, was, well, poison.
The customer service is rude and looks down upon customers, treating you as if you are a 5 year old child. They dodge questions as well. I paid about 60 dollars for these shoes.
They only offered to send me back 16 dollars, and that was after I bargained heavily and threatened to write bad reviews.
Then they told me if I sent back the shoes to China at my own cost, they would refund the price of the shoes without shipping.
Miccostumes is a ripoff. Don't buy!
I ordered my son's costume about a month ago and now I have a very disappointed boy because he cannot be what he wanted to be. If you are considering using this company, don't, pay the double price at amazon because there is no garauntee when it will arrive.. My husband and I are sorely ticked off. Since I know a lot of people into anime and goes to cons I am going to counsel them to stay away from this one.
I got my costume but the gloves were missing. Not to mention, the costume was terribly put together and strings were everywhere. Regarding the missing part, I asked customer service for a replacement for the gloves but nothing you buy is more free of charge until you get it. Apparently, you need to pay the shipping for replacement items (I'm not even trying to replace anything! It was never shipped with the package!) It's understandable how a people try to rush things to get orders filled in but order is lacking in this company. They should verify that all parts of a costume should be put together before they ship it. I'm partially unsatisfied because they don't make up for their mistakes and ask the buyer to reach into his or her wallet for extra dough to fix it.
the kingdom hearts sora costume I bought from miccostumes is simply a garbage. the quality of the costume is bad that it is made of some cheap material that you can see that easily and feel it by your hands. it don't look much like the picture at all. no wonder the price they tried to list is so cheap. also it took forever for the delivery that i had totally waited 6 weeks before i can get it. i am disappointed with the services and products. don't trust their stupid reviews on their own website, totally misleaded me. i won't buy here no more, if you don't want to waste your money and time buy elsewhere!

I bought 2 costumes on this website, and emailed them over 5 times without a single respond. of course I still don't have my ordered costumes from them. They are totally fraudulent and stay away!
the costume i got here that i waited for 2 months doesn't look like the pic shown at all!! the even worst part is that after washing it my other clothes got dyed in pink color!!! send emails to complaint and no respond, totally ridiculous!!!
I placed an order over a month ago and it has never arrive! I sent them emails asking for my shipment tracking info and they said there is none. Afterwards they have never reply to my emails no more! horrible services and cheating website! I will get my $100 back with my bank! beware!
