Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. People frequently complained that the devices stopped working properly after only a few months of use, often suffering from unexpected connectivity failures or leaking water during operation. Consumers also noted that the customer support team was unhelpful, unresponsive, and made the warranty repair process extremely difficult and frustrating.
Some reviewers were happy with the helpful customer service, noting that staff members were quick and professional when handling warranty replacements. These buyers mentioned that the vacuums were easy to manage, reliable, and left floors looking fantastic with no sign of dust.
My Roborock QV35 worked for around nine months before developing a fault. I sent it to Roborock for repair, which took two weeks, only for the vacuum and dock to come back in worse condition, with a completely different fault. So much for repairing it.
What followed was six weeks of chasing customer service, repeated apologies and promises of a replacement that never arrived. I then spent two weeks waiting for a return label because of their own “label generation issues”.
They refused to send the replacement until they received the faulty unit, while failing to provide the label I needed to return it. Then they told me the exchange could take another one to two weeks after the return. Absolutely ridiculous.
Their idea of compensation for returning a faulty machine and wasting weeks of my time? A spare mop head. Honestly, insulting.
Amazon has now sorted a refund. Roborock did not resolve this—Amazon did.
A product failing within nine months is bad enough. Returning it from repair with another fault and then leaving the customer chasing for weeks is unacceptable. The real test of a company is how it deals with problems, and Roborock has been utterly useless throughout mine.
I won’t buy another Roborock product. Based on my experience, I’d strongly advise spending your money elsewhere.
Not worth the money.
Maybe the technology just isn't ready for prime time. The vacuum itself isn't strong enough to get the dirt or grit up off my floors and the mops are just okay, one barely works most of the time. Customer support is mixed. They provided self-help guides to fix the problem, but never arrived at resolution and the guide wasn't even for the model I have. In terms of "smarts", this thing has a hard time. I have a list of dumb things it does and if you put an obstacle on the floor, add 10 minutes of cleaning time because it can't figure out an optimized way to get around it. I have wood floors and every time it takes off the mops to start cleaning them, but realizes it needs them, and goes back to put them back on. Again 3 minutes wasted. Also, it decides it needs to clean the mops at the end of a cleaning, but also needs to clean them before beginning to clean, so it just wastes water. Roborock isn't a great solution if you're looking to actually replace manual cleaning in your home.
Stopped working less than a year and no response from Customer Service
My Roborock Q7 TF was purchased in Singapore and has stopped working in less than a year. I’ve tried countless times to reach their customer service through the official channel WhatsApp chat and phone, but I’ve never received a response. This is my second Roborock. The first one lasted five or six years and was fantastic. I can never imagine buying another one again.
I did so much research before buying. I wanted to buy something of quality and durable. After 5 months, one wheel stopped spinning ( the vacuum was always kept clean and no animals). After getting a repair approved it took 3 weeks to get the vacuum back!! Well 3 months after the repair same wheel same problem. Again weeks to have it fixed. Will not offer a new vacuum or investigate why the problem keeps happening. They also confirmed that after the 12 months of general warranty I was out of luck even if the same issue was to happen a third time. I find this lack of service and warranty absolutely ridiculous and frustrating when you pay 700$ for a unit that’s should be top of the line.
Vacuums are nice, but customer service is terrible. Ordered a batch of accessories from the store. Never arrived at my house. Their solution was giving me the post office customer service number. Thanks for absolutely nothing. Just bought a new $1500 vacuum and they won’t make a $40 purchase right. Smart.
Three weeks, 21 emails, zero resolution - support doesn't read your case
Bought a brand-new Roborock Qrevo Pro from Target in June 2026. It worked fine for 1-2 months, then suddenly started misdetecting my area rug's boundary. It cleans a 'ghost' area beyond the rug edge and repeatedly catches and lifts the rug edge, damaging my $1,000+ rug.
The product defect is one thing. The customer service is worse. I contacted support on Sept 17 with photos and videos. Over three weeks and 21 emails: they repeatedly told me to use a 'Recognition error? Adjust' option that DOES NOT EXIST on the Qrevo Pro. I told them this multiple times and they kept repeating the same instruction, proof that no one was actually reading my case; they kept asking me to redo troubleshooting I had already completed and documented; they blamed rug friction for the edge lifting, when the lifting is damage CAUSED BY the malfunction, not its cause; my repeated escalation requests were ignored until the case was routed back to the very same rep I had complained about; and they refused a brand-new replacement, offering only a refurbished unit because I bought from Target.
A factory reset and a full remap did not fix it. The sudden behavior change after months of correct operation points to a hardware/firmware defect, which they refuse to acknowledge. This is the worst customer service I have ever dealt with. Avoid this company - if anything goes wrong, you are completely on your own.
We purchased our roborock in August 2025. In November we contacted them because of the poor performance. The only customer service they offered was to send pictures of the areas we were having problems with instructions on how to clean which we had already tried. They would not offer to service it under the warranty. We dealt with it until October when I contacted them again as the product was already useless. Again they offered cleaning suggestions- I told them that we were having the same issues, they offered to service it for us, but since it was NOW out of warranty we would need to pay to have that done, even though we had contacted them several times previously. Would not recommend: self emptying container - not enough suction power, NOT pet friendly, the rollers continously need cleaning, battery sensors are worthless as you have to always adjust the vacuum when it docks so it charges (after less than a year they don't charge pass 25%), and then of course the customer service was that of AI and did not address the warranty the first time we contacted them even though we asked.
The rectangle part that covers the brushes broke a few weeks after I got it. I live in ground floor all flat and hardwood. Only the wood seam. They sent new one and of course broke again. Just shows the quality…. The mopping doesn’t work at all either you might as well just get vacuum only. No point in paying the price tag you can’t trust. Esp with short warranty. Thought I could trust. Ver wrong save your money.
⭐ 1 Star – Terrible Product and Even Worse Customer Service
I deeply regret purchasing the Roborock Saros Z70. For a product at this price, I expected premium quality, reliability, and customer support that actually cares about its customers. Instead, I have been dealing with constant problems, frustration, and a disappointing customer service experience.
The robot has experienced recurring positioning and docking issues, problems with the mop cloth mount dropping, and a robotic arm that cannot reliably pick up objects as advertised. Despite troubleshooting and receiving replacement parts, I am still dealing with problems that prevent this expensive robot from performing as expected.
What makes this experience even worse is Roborock’s customer service. After spending time documenting the problems, providing videos and screenshots, and communicating with support, I received a response essentially blaming my home environment and the types of objects the robot encounters. Rather than providing a meaningful solution, I was told to rearrange furniture, adjust object placement, and create No-Go Zones.
Seriously? I purchased an expensive robot vacuum with advanced features because I expected those features to work reliably in a normal home. I should not have to constantly rearrange my furniture or modify my living space just to get this machine to function properly.
The robotic arm is another major disappointment. A feature that was heavily promoted as part of this product has failed to perform reliably in my experience. Being told that certain objects are outside its supported capabilities only adds to the frustration.
The biggest disappointment is how Roborock has handled these issues. A company should stand behind its products, take customer concerns seriously, and work toward an actual resolution. Instead, I feel like I have been left to troubleshoot the problems myself while customer support explains why the robot is behaving this way.
I would not recommend the Saros Z70 based on my experience. The product has been a major disappointment, and the customer service has only made the situation worse. Save yourself the frustration and think carefully before spending your money on this robot. A premium price should come with premium performance and customer support—not endless problems and excuses.
Unresponsive and Irresponsible after-sales service
Roborock singapore after-sales service is probably the worst i have ever experienced in my life for a premium product purchased. Saros Z70 was one of their most premium product costing thousands and yet the service from the screenshot translates it to just a few dollars worth. If anyone is thinking of getting Roborock, as a consumer i suggest you think hard and think thrice. Quite hard to believe such poor services still exist in this day and age...
Very disappointing Roborock Saros Z70 experience – FlexiArm failed twice, the second time less than a week after replacement
I purchased the Roborock Saros Z70 as one of Roborock’s premium flagship robot vacuums. Considering its price and technology, I expected flagship-level reliability.
Unfortunately, my experience has been very different.
The problem is with the side-cleaning FlexiArm / Side Brush Gearbox mechanism. The arm started repeatedly clicking, rotating, retracting and trying again instead of operating normally. Cleaning became inconsistent and the repeated clicking was clearly not normal behavior.
I did not simply clean or reinstall the side brush.
I personally purchased a complete replacement Side Brush Gearbox / FlexiArm module and replaced the entire original unit.
After replacement, the robot initially worked normally and I believed the problem was solved.
Less than one week later, the exact same problem returned:
repeated clicking, abnormal FlexiArm movement, repeated rotation/retraction attempts and abnormal behavior during cleaning.
Having exactly the same failure return so quickly after replacing the complete module raises serious questions for me about the durability/design of this mechanism, or whether another issue in the robot is causing repeated damage to the FlexiArm assembly.
This is not an inexpensive robot. The Saros Z70 is sold as a highly advanced flagship product with cameras, sensors, sophisticated navigation and multiple mechanical systems. At this price level, I expected significantly better reliability.
What makes this more frustrating is that when the Z70 works properly, its cleaning, navigation and ability to clean under low furniture are genuinely excellent. That is exactly why this repeated failure is so disappointing.
A customer should not have to disassemble an expensive flagship robot, purchase a complete replacement module, install it, and then experience the same failure again less than a week later.
I have videos and photos documenting the problem, the clicking behavior and the replacement, and I can provide them if required.
I am not claiming that every Saros Z70 has this problem. I am documenting my own experience exactly as it happened.
I would like Roborock to answer clearly:
Is there a revised or improved version of the FlexiArm / Side Brush Gearbox module?
Is this a known issue?
Why would the exact same failure return less than a week after replacing the complete assembly?
After the cost of the robot, the replacement part, and the considerable time spent disassembling and repairing it, I expect a real solution — not simply purchasing another identical part and waiting for it to fail again.
If Roborock is willing to address this properly through a permanent repair, replacement unit, or another reasonable resolution, I am willing to cooperate and provide all photos, videos and technical details.
For the price, the product is not worth it. We had ours just over two years so it is out of warranty but it now broke. We have to pay shipping to get a quote on how much it would cost to fix it and then pay shipping back even if the quote is high. This is an $1100 vacuum. Not worth the price. Additional information: We know the part we need and they won't even send it to us.
Buyer beware. I paid $749.99 for a brand-new Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra with Refill & Drainage System, and it was defective from the very first use. It would not power on or charge normally.
I completed all troubleshooting, provided photos, videos, and the serial number, and Roborock ultimately confirmed the unit needed repair.
I requested a refund because I paid for a brand-new product, not a repaired one before I ever got to use it. Roborock denied the refund and also said a replacement was no longer available because the 30-day period had passed. Their only solution was repair.
What concerns me even more is that I found multiple customer reviews describing the same situation as mine — brand-new units failing from the beginning — and other reviews describing problems returning again after repair.
I understand companies have policies, but relying on a 30-day policy when a premium product was defective from its very first use does not give me confidence in the brand or the resolution being offered.
For a product at this price, I expected much better quality control and customer support. Brand-new should mean working from day one. In my experience, this was a waste of money.
I purchased two of these vacs and have NOT tried them as I have not received them. Shop.com had my old address and they were shipped to that previous address, I contacted FedEx and they said Roborock had to call. Roborock refused to call FedEx and after a few hours on the phone with FedEx (don't get me started on talking to a human there, oy) a manger (3 escalations later) they said they'd redirect to my current address.
On the phone Roborock said they call FedEx, and then I got an email as if I didn't even talk to the customer service rep. Subsequent emails sent to me basically said they will not do anything, but told me to call FedEx. FedEx said they had to call and here I was stuck in the middle.
I'm not even sure I want these now, I think IF I get them I'll return them and ask for a full refund due to the lousy customer service.
Had my roborock qrevo flow 2, for two months. Clip that holds roller mop disintegrated. Company said the woule repair as act of goodwill. Product has 12 months warranty. They need to do a lot better!
Totally disappointing. Never again. Bought their device during the 2024 Thanksgiving. Lasted for 20 months approximately. Warranty was just for a year and the device stopped working. Spent close to $1500 and it's gone just like that. Such unreliable product and their customer service is a joke in giving me $20 discount to buy their new device. I am not sure what this company is thinking of their customers.
I've had issues with the charging for 3 months now. First time sent back, they said they tightened some screws- didn't even check if the issue had been fixed. Item was returned and still wasn't charging- sent back and have now had it for 2 months. Telling me that they have fixed it and will send it back- yet its been waiting at their facility for over a week and still hasn't even been shipped.
If I could give roborock less than 1 star I would. Scammy as. They gave us a faulty product and won’t return any of our emails. $700 wasted don’t even bother with them!!!
$1,100 “premium” robot failed—and Roborock’s support made it worse
I paid $1,099.99 for the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra from Roborock’s official Amazon store. After less than two years of normal household use, the dock developed persistent Error 42 and the mop-washing carriage began stopping at the far-right side of the washing sink.
I completed every troubleshooting step Roborock requested: cleaning and reinstalling the maintenance brush, filter, sink, and track; checking the mop cloth; updating the firmware; retesting the system; and submitting photos, the serial number, and proof of purchase. The error remains, and Roborock says the machine needs repair.
Because the one-year warranty had expired, Roborock initially offered only a $20 discount toward another expensive machine, later increasing it to $30 with a three-day deadline. It took repeated emails just to obtain an estimated repair range of $100–$140, and support still would not clearly confirm the complete cost, inspection and return-shipping fees, shipping insurance, or repair warranty. My requests for supervisor review were also repeatedly ignored.
A premium appliance costing more than $1,000 should last longer than this, and customers should not have to fight for basic repair information. I am now pursuing a paid repair because the machine is too expensive to discard.
I will update this review if Roborock completes the repair promptly, honors the quoted range, and provides a reasonable warranty on the work. Based on the failure and support experience so far, I cannot recommend this product or the company behind it.
VACUUM STOPPED WORKING / LOSING Wi-Fi
I purchased this Roborock vacuum and it worked perfectly for about two years, with no issues. It did exactly what I programmed it to do and performed very well.
Then, after two years of relatively light use 50 min program, it suddenly stopped working properly. The vacuum now loses its Wi-Fi connection and stops just 6 inches from its charging base, even though my router is only about 12 inches away.
What’s even more frustrating is the lack of meaningful support from customer service. Instead of helping troubleshoot or find a reasonable solution, I was essentially told to buy a new one.
A household appliance that costs this much should not be treated as a disposable product after only two years of use. I expected much better reliability and customer support from Roborock.
Think twice before investing in this brand. A robot vacuum is supposed to make your life easier not create another problem to deal with. Unfortunately, this experience has been a complete let-down.
