Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers heavily criticized the poor network connectivity, noting that weak signals and frequent disruptions made daily internet usage and online transactions extremely difficult. Additionally, customers faced major problems with billing, describing unexpected charges, unwanted automatic renewals, and a frustratingly unhelpful online support team.
Some reviewers were happy with the polite staff available at physical service centers and found the roaming connectivity quite useful when traveling abroad. However, others noted that resolving account problems online remained a tedious and stressful process, often leaving people without proper assistance or resolutions. Many individuals also experienced significant delays when attempting to terminate their long-term contracts.
My signal never works in any basements or the MRT, and it doesn't allow me to share my hotspot. The only good thing about SIMBA is that it allows you to use data in other countries, but the signals are very poor. Sometimes, it doesn't even work in my own home. Do not recommend.
I've read terrible reviews about simba. Yet, being an al cheapo, I decided to take up their $29.90, 10Gbps with the free router plan with a 24 month contract. The sign up date online was on a sunday (22/06). Earliest NLT activation date i could choose was Thursday (26/06). I chose 3 date & time slots for NLT activation. Thursday AM slot, PM slot and Friday AM slot. After a few hours after i signed up on Sunday 22/06, i was notified by email that the NLT activation will be on Thursday. The email mentioned that there may be no need for a technician to come into my residence for this NLT activation. Thursday came and went by without any activity. On Friday morning, I received a whatsapp message from a simba technician asking whether I'll be available for the ONT installation the same day and gave me 2 timings as option. I chose the 12pm to 3pm window. Technician arrived at about 1pm on friday, did his stuff and my broadband was up and running within 10mins.
Very smooth and seamless.
To be frank, i don't know how good their broadband i.e. speed & stability is. But the whole process was seamless. So far so good.
What not to see in customer service staff . Went to Bedok branch today at 2.45 pm…
Went to Bedok branch today at 2.45 pm Bad experience with the client service personal . Instead of asking the service he can provide , keep say Ng cannot gaurantee service for my device intended . Wonder if he truly trained in customer servuce ? Worst , ask why 3pm says close if stated 8pm , he says his lunch time .. very good servuce hor ? Kns
Very poor network coverage. It's really frustrating when you need to do a funds transfer or qr pay for your food and realised that there is no network. Many parts in the train lines got no network as well. Even my home toilet has no network. The overseas connection in Japan was great but in Malaysia it's atrocious
Terrible customer service. The mobile number porting over from Singtel was not complete and so we were sent two bills - one from Singtel and another from SIMBA. Singtel is at least trying to help resolve the issue but SIMBA does not try to understand the issue nor help at all. Plus, all responses are provided at night often at (2-3 am) and so you have to wait a day to get an answer.
Poor customer service standards by SIMBA Broadband
Poor customer service standards. Only over email, and the customer service agents ignore the queries/requests altogether despite multiple emails. Very frustrating to deal with. Signed up for 10G home broadband and paid the initial fee, got so frustrated at scheduling appointment, (and note that they are very inflexible) gave up and terminated the service. Requested for refund. They cited T&Cs about non refund so I had to suck it up. Gladly write it off to avoid potential longer term issues with this service provider. TL:DR - pay peanuts, get monkeys.
Cant access to data while overseas despite multiple shut down/restart. Was told i need to contact them via Facebook ... and too bad if i have no social media. Customer service at the kiosk should be called customer dis-service instead. No point being cheap if you cant use it. Worse, pay to be at receiving end of bad attitude. This company should be penalised before more old folks sign up and SUFFER.
this service SUCKS. don't get this if you want reliable internet. sure its cheap but it has the WORST i've ever experienced and its infuriating. customer support isnt there as well. the world would be a better place without this company
Terrible. Don't touch them. Same issue as others - 3 months service, then it drops, and trying to get support is like finding the source of the Nile. They do now have a technical support line 6986 0000 - I assume the regulator stepped in - but that appears to function as a play for time mechanism. They have no systems to book an engineer, so you just have to wait for them to call you - and that's allegedly from 24 hours after THEY send you an email - doesn't matter when you sent it. Agree with the others - you get what you pay for -Simba is the best advertisement for Singtel or Starhub you'll find.
I signed up for SIMBA because it was the cheapest telco option in Singapore, but honestly, the entire experience has been extremely disappointing.
During my first visit, I tried to register using my Singpass, but your system couldn’t process facial recognition—it kept failing repeatedly. In the end, I had to register using my passport, which only allowed a one-month plan. I was told I’d need to come back and register again with my ep or Singpass.
When I returned to update my registration with my work pass, the staff didn’t even ask if I wanted a physical SIM or eSIM. After completing the registration, I requested an eSIM and was told I had to pay an additional $5 because the process had already been completed. Shouldn’t they confirm this preference beforehand?
On top of that, I entered my full and correct address, but your system somehow excluded my unit number. This small mistake caused issues when I tried to open a bank account—my address was considered invalid. When I went back to get it corrected, the update still didn’t reflect properly. I asked for a revised invoice, and they said I’d have to wait until the next billing cycle!!!!!!!Seriously?!!!
I also asked if there was a customer service line I could call or email, and was shocked to hear that SIMBA has no backend customer support at all. No wonder the staff in-store act so indifferent—they know there’s no accountability.
The only reason anyone puts up with this is because it’s cheap. Otherwise, I doubt this company would survive with such poor service and systems. Cheap shouldn’t mean careless.
Got the 10GBPs Broadband in December
When installing they sold us a Router that could only run at 1GBPS negating the "superior" bandwidth. The fact they did this knowingly is almost a scam.
Internet completely broke 3 months later. POS light flashing. Raised form. Called. Emails. Physically went to the store. Nothing has been done. I'm paying for no wifi. For an extra 20 dollars a month worth just getting a decent ISP
Beware of SIMBA’s Obscure Fine Print – Porting Out Isn’t as Easy as It Seems
I’m posting this to warn anyone considering or currently using SIMBA (formerly TPG Mobile) in Singapore. My recent experience trying to port out of their service was incredibly frustrating — not just because of the network (which, by the way, has patchy 5G coverage and unreliable speed underground and in many areas), but because of how their fine print traps users.
Here’s what you probably didn’t know — because it’s buried in their Terms & Conditions:
1. You can only request to port out at least 7 business days before your billing cycle ends.
Miss this window? You’re stuck paying for another full month. That 7 days? Burnt.
2. If you’ve recently changed plans within SIMBA, it counts as a new activation. That means:
You cannot port out for the next 30 days
Unless you pay a $30 activation fee to break that lock-in
3. You also cannot change plans during the last 5 days of your billing cycle, so you’ll burn at least 5 days of your current plan if you’re switching.
These rules are buried in the fine prints during the sign-up or plan-change process. Most users would expect that changing a plan within the same telco wouldn’t reset the clock on porting out — but SIMBA uses this tactic to quietly lock you in longer.
In my opinion, this is borderline dishonest business practice that relies on obscure policies to confuse and delay users who wish to leave. It's not just inconvenient — it's predatory.
If you’re considering SIMBA, read the fine print very carefully. If you're already a user, plan your port-out well in advance and avoid switching plans within SIMBA unless you're okay staying for another 30+ days.

Cheap, and what you get is also cheap.
Their reception is totally bad, you are like lost in the wood even you work in Singapore CBD area.
I wished to port out but there is 30Sgd cancellation fees within the first months.
I stayed with them for the 1st month but they simply charged you the 2nd months like 5 days ahead.
Now I port out and they told me they don’t do refund.
What a ridiculous telco who charge client for service they didn’t even rendered.
Don’t switch to Simba, trust me, this is the least thing you wanted to do.
Simba seriously need to get a hotline and improve it's communication on installation instructions. I waited whole morning for broadband installation for nothing and no way to clarify with Simba anyone coming. Instructions on the email unclear and expecting user know what is going on. Totally disappointed
I changed to Simba plan from GOMO last week. My verdict….
I REALLY REGRETTED my decision to switch to Simba. The indoor reception is beyond terrible. Not only is 5G slow and no reception, phone reception is really bad. Slow and lose connection.
I planning to switch out. if anyone is planning to subscribe to Simba, think THRICE.
As a former user of their broadband service, I can give you a realistic review.
Pros:
It's cheap.
Cons:
unreliable.
Lots of connection drops (not good for gaming or video calls)
Lots of maintenance periods (no connection during the maintenance period).
Terrible customer support (they don't even have a phone number in Singapore).
Hidden charges (Apparently there is a long long list of terms and conditions somewhere in their website, and they charge you silently based on that without your consent. Not to mention that they store your credit card information without telling you.)
I don't recommend it.
This network really bad especially in some buildings, underground and basement
This network really bad especially basement, underground and even at certain buildings. Recently went Malacca and the experience was worse, download speed was less than 5mbps. JB and Penang seems ok though.
I have feedback to simba numerous times and each time was made to fill up very detailed info. I think they should do their job properly to get their engineers to test out verious places in sg.
