Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers heavily criticized the poor network connectivity, noting that weak signals and frequent disruptions made daily internet usage and online transactions extremely difficult. Additionally, customers faced major problems with billing, describing unexpected charges, unwanted automatic renewals, and a frustratingly unhelpful online support team. Some reviewers were happy with the polite staff available at physical service centers and found the roaming connectivity quite useful when traveling abroad. However, others noted that resolving account problems online remained a tedious and stressful process, often leaving people without proper assistance or resolutions. Many individuals also experienced significant delays when attempting to terminate their long-term contracts.

Disappointing Network Coverage and Poor Mobile Data Performance

Disappointing Network Coverage and Poor Mobile Data Performance I've been using SIMBA SuperRoam 12, and unfortunately, the network experience has gone from bad to worse. While SIMBA offers attractive pricing and generous data and roaming allowances, the actual network performance is very disappointing. Reception is poor in many locations across Singapore, and even basic activities like scrolling through Facebook and watching TikTok videos are frustrating due to slow loading and buffering. What makes it worse is that the connection has deteriorated further over the past few months rather than improved. What's the point of offering hundreds of GB of data when customers cannot enjoy a stable and reliable connection? SIMBA may be competitive on price, but network reliability should be the top priority for any mobile operator. I hope SIMBA takes these issues seriously and improves its network quality. Until then, I find it difficult to recommend SIMBA, regardless of how attractive its plans may look on paper.

Very disappointed with Simba’s mobile…

Very disappointed with Simba’s mobile network. Even in Singapore, I only get 2 bars of 5G signal. Last week at Thomson Plaza, I couldn’t use my phone the whole day to scan QR codes or make payments. Recently, at JB City Square, I also couldn’t use my payment apps at the mall due to the extremely poor network, with only 1 bar of signal. What’s even more disappointing is that customer support took 3 days to reply, only to give a standard response saying everything was working fine. How can everything be fine when I personally experienced such poor connectivity and couldn’t even make payments? A mobile network should be reliable, especially when we need it for daily transactions. Please stop giving standard replies and investigate the actual network issues instead. Very poor service and disappointing customer support!👎🏿

I trusted SIMBA’s roaming service when…

I trusted SIMBA’s roaming service when I travelled to Manila, Philippines. Unfortunately, the service stopped working the moment I arrived at the airport. Even after reaching Manila City, I was unable to get a proper connection. This was an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, especially when travelling overseas and relying on mobile data for communication, navigation, and other essential needs. If you are planning to travel abroad, think twice before relying entirely on SIMBA. You could end up stranded without connectivity when you need it most. In the end, I had no choice but to activate StarHub roaming and spend additional money just to stay connected. Very disappointing service from SIMBA. I completely lost confidence in their international roaming reliability.

If can i would choose to go without a…

If can i would choose to go without a star, you will regret if you choose to go with simba, I get my broadband from simba and i have been facing 0 connection since day one and i am still being charged. During troubleshooting they will push to NTL and NTL will push back. Is a nightmare. When you ask for termination they will charge you early termination fee.

Worst

Worst I requested a port-in to SIMBA four days ago. As per the port-in process, my previous telco disconnected my existing service once the port-in request was initiated. However, my port-in to SIMBA is still “in progress”, leaving me without the ability to make calls or use mobile data for last 2 days. This is extremely frustrating and unacceptable. If SIMBA is not able to complete the port-in within the expected timeframe, customers should not be left without any mobile service. The entire experience has been very disappointing, and the lack of timely resolution and communication is unacceptable. Based on this experience, I would not recommend SIMBA to others and will seriously reconsider using SIMBA in the future.

Simba SG broadband gross billing mistakes

Complaint: SIMBA Telecom – Continued Billing After Termination and Unresolved Overcharge It started with an overcharge monthly bill in April 2026. Despite repeated follow‑ups, the refund has taken more than four months and is still not fully resolved. I terminated my SIMBA broadband service on 5 September 2026 and switched to another ISP. SIMBA confirmed this termination date in their own email. Yet on 29 September 2026, they charged me again for the terminated subscription. This is not a one‑off mistake — it is a pattern of: - Repeated incorrect billing (duplicate and post‑termination charges). - Very slow, unclear refund process (over four months and still incomplete). - Poor customer service with shifting explanations and multiple escalations that go nowhere. - Retention of my credit‑card details after termination, raising concerns about possible further unauthorised charges. Their customer service and billing practices are, frankly, no better than that of scammers. I had high hopes for SIMBA as a local alternative, but this experience has been extremely disappointing. I have filed an IMDA ADR application (Receipt No. XXXX‑6314) to seek repayment of the post‑termination subscription charges and to ensure no further billing occurs. I am also concerned about possible data‑breach exposure given the repeated over‑charging and retention of card details. If anyone else has faced similar issues with SIMBA (billing after termination, delayed refunds, or card‑detail retention), I would appreciate hearing how you resolved it.

Extremely disappointing experience with…

Extremely disappointing experience with SIMBA. For more than 11 days, I was unable to reliably receive critical SMS messages and OTPs, affecting banking, hospital communications and other essential services. Despite repeated reports and more than 10 days for SIMBA to investigate, no effective solution was provided. I even went to orchard central branch and waited for more than 7 hours and I was asked to go back as no solution can be given. I was shocked. I need the sms and OTP as it contains vital information from the hospitals. What was most unacceptable was the lack of proper technical explanation, effective escalation and urgency. I eventually had no choice but to port my number to Singtel. After the port was completed, my SMS and OTP services resumed normally. To my horror, I was also shocked that my SIMBA line was terminated during the porting process without what I considered proper advance notice. I am also disputing the retention of my remaining wallet balance, as I only ported out because SIMBA failed to resolve the service issue repeatedly and cannot even give a definitive answer when can this be solved. I have formally lodged a complaint with IMDA and requested an investigation into SIMBA’s technical support, escalation process and customer safeguards. I urged to practice prudent and caution in selecting a reliable telcon provider. Based on my experience, I have completely lost confidence in SIMBA and cannot recommend its service. Totally unreliable and very unprofessional. I will ban all Simba services forever.

The line is so bad and mobile number not recognised at some webistes

The line is so bad. Like 5G signal with 5mbps constantly. And for some websites I cannot even register my simba number to receiving OTP. It will shows my number is not valid. I tried with my Singtel number and instantly I can proceed with my account creation and MFA enrollment.

My fibre broadband at home with SIMBA was charged for 2 lines for 4 months!

My fibre broadband at home with 1 year contract is going to be over soon and I signed up for a 2 year contact new line! That is when my nightmare begins! I learned my lesson the very hard way!!! Everybody please take note ! You must terminate whatever broadband lines first before getting a new broadband! Nobody will inform you that!Terminate your expiring broadband and make sure that it is terminated before you install your new broadband !!! When the SIMBA technician came to install my new 2 year contract broadband ENT or whatever, he did not say anything but just happily installled and activate the new broadband line! What I did not take note is that the technician installed the new fibre line without removing the old fibre connection!!!!so there are two incoming fibre connections! I only found out when the old fibre line are still being billed for 4 continuous months despite the line not being used at all! The new 2 year contract line is also being billed as it is active and being used! Who would have thought that once you installed a new line , the old line is still actively billed!!! When I wrote in to SIMBA to terminate the old broadband which contract had expired! I was told that there is a 35 days wait and that I need to respond to the email confirmation the termination or that it will not be processed. Upon confirming the email termination. I received another email saying that my termination is subjected to approval! What approval do I need to terminate my old broadband line which is not in use at all!!! I am paying 4 months of unused home fo re broadband for not terminate Aging it first before installing my new line!!! Everyone please take note! Terminate your old broadband first before signing on a new fibre home broadband or you will face the same problem as I did!!! I am not sure this practice is for the Telcos to generate more easy income from unsuspecting customers like me! Please wake up guys! For the past 4 months I have been paying for two home fibre broadband and there is nothing I can do about it as I did not terminate he old line ! When I wrote in to SIMBA about this situation, they replied that they can see that there are two lines connected to my address and one line line was not used at all but I need to send in the request to terminate ate the unisex old line or they cannot do anything about it! So much for the customer support! So guys be aware of all these before you unsuspecting sign a. Ew cheaper new line! You might end up paying double!!!!!

Atrocious

Atrocious service. Website barely working. Logging in is a chore. They have a mobile app, with very limited features. No way to change card details, change plan subscription, etc.. Change phone, wanna move eSim over, need to go to store physically and pay $5 for new eSim after "verification".

Worst service provider in the world

Worst service provider in the world. randomly cuts out, slow, intermittent. partner providers in other places are always the worst choiced ones Website is horrible, and unusable. app is even worse somehow. can't do anything except top up credit, which later cannot be allocated anyway

SIMBA is not as good as they advertise

At first everything was fine, SIMBA seemed like a cheap choice in exchange for a lot of data. There weren't much disruptions a few years back but recently the disruptions have gotten worse. I can't even use my phone underground in the trains without my data lagging. And there are times when the internet would just completely shut off with no warning, leaving you with absolutely NO DATA AND NO BACKUP PLAN. Don't recommend it tbh, go for a more expensive but better and smoother data experience.

Worst telco in Singapore

Worst telco in Singapore. Made Singapore feel like a third world country with the connectivity they provide. Internet is intermittent and plenty of dead spot. Luckily Singapore is a safe country… can u imagine if u were to go hiking and your internet provider is Simba??? I would be lost and dead cuz I would not have access to GPS or any signal to call for help!!!
