What reviewers say
AI generated
Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers heavily criticized the poor network connectivity, noting that weak signals and frequent disruptions made daily internet usage and online transactions extremely difficult. Additionally, customers faced major problems with billing, describing unexpected charges, unwanted automatic renewals, and a frustratingly unhelpful online support team.
Some reviewers were happy with the polite staff available at physical service centers and found the roaming connectivity quite useful when traveling abroad. However, others noted that resolving account problems online remained a tedious and stressful process, often leaving people without proper assistance or resolutions. Many individuals also experienced significant delays when attempting to terminate their long-term contracts.

This is the worst telecom provider in Singapore. Take my own leave at home to wait for SIMBA installer to install the new WIFI router on 5 May 2026 after it mentioned in the email but nobody turn up, worst of it, no call or any email. I have to email to them and wait till same day 4.15pm, then receive an email from them mentioning not they did not receiving any feedback from the NLT is being activation. A simple call from SIMBA staff to apologise to customer also cannot. Then what can the customer expect from SIMBA... Once 2 year contract end, i will definitely change to other Telecom provider even if price is slightly expensive. Even their installer said SIMBA lousy service. I actually want to give zero star, but system indicate 1 start.
Very bad customer service, very frustrated, never do business with SIMBA!
I ordered the Broadband service from them online in March 2026. During inputting my address, I accidentally made a typo error, wrongly input my neighbor's unit number which is very similar as mine.
Within two days, I spotted the typo, so I immediately contacted their support channel (only an online form, no hotline, no support email address) to inform them the correct address unit.
They let me pay $82 relocation fee to proceed. However, the appointment to do the setup is one week later, they have more than one week to make the address get updated correctly. Till I contacted them, there is no any substantial action taken from their side.
I requested them to waive the unreasonable $82 relocation fee, they rejected.
I have communicated with them a lot through email. They know the $82 relocation fee is unreasonable, but they insisted to charge me.
Till now, they have also charged me for two months' monthly service subscription fees, $29.99 per month, even there is no service available for me.
Looks very troublesome to resolve the issue.
Terrible service for broadband activation
No one shown and contact me on scheduled installation day
Waste my whole day wait in my house
Contact service center by mail. Just let me wait for feedback without any apology and explanation
Furthermore no fixed date to solve my issue
Issues with porting in my current number to SIMBA.
Had purchased with SIMBA in april 2026, was told by staff that nothing had to be done on my side. just wait for the number to be ported in. paid $10 and done deal.
3 days later, nothing, 1 week later nothing.
recieved email from SIMBA that my line was terminated.
their customer support is TRASH.
send a follow up enquiry, only got back the same response that my line was terminated. nil further follow up despite follow up email.
Then approached the SIMBA service counter and was told to contact my current telco.
Approached my current telco, confirmed there were no issues on their side:
- line was still active
- number was registered under my IC
- account was not under a corporate plan
- they also confirmed they did not receive any port-in request from SIMBA.
Reapproached the SIMBA service counter and was then told I needed to pay an additional $10 to attempt the port-in again.
When I asked why I needed to pay again despite already doing my due diligence to ensure all conditions were met, the staff responded that I needed to pay the $10 to get the line ported in, and additionally added:
“What can you do to ensure that the line does not get terminated?”
LIKE WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IT WAS A MISTAKE ON YOUR SIDE????? CLEARLY NOT MY PROBLEM
To make things worse, I was told travel down to their Kaki Bukit headquarters just to enquire further. no hotline number to contact them. Only the same email provided, in which was of no help at all
Conclusion,
POOR SERVICE, POOR CUSTOMER SUPPORT
DONT PORT IN WITH SIMBA.
Bad connection, forever cut off. Line is always not available. Customer service forever takes 24-48hrs to settle your issues, including porting out.
If i can give 0 stars, i would rate 0 not even 1
Went to Batam on 1 May 2026 . My Simba SuperRoam plan can’t even receive calls. No internet connection . But my friend 8 Eight was working well. For 3 days no internet connection in Batam until I came back to Singapore.
Extremely frustrated with the SIMBA application process through their online. I placed an order on 14/4 and selected NLT appointment dates for 20/4 and 21/4, but received zero updates. When I visited the Orchard Central outlet for help, I was told I didn't even need to be home for the appointment—which makes no sense given I was forced to select a specific time slot.
Due to the lack of communication and conflicting information, I decided to cancel. Despite the service lapses being on their end, I was charged a $29.90 cancellation fee and they refused to refund it. I shouldn’t have to bear the cost for their poor coordination. Avoid signing up for SIMBA here.
It’s a pity zero star is not an option. SIMBA should not even be allowed to be a service provider with its consistently lousy reception. It is consistent though - I have never had any connection in my office in central Singapore.
Too bad cannot give zero star! Need to give at least one star. Not only no coverage underground, even in various part of Singapore above ground, the coverage is also bad. Simba forces u to pay for two months. If you want to port out within 30 days, they will ask you to pay $30 for registration of SIM card. You have to pay for the full second month even if you u on on the first day of the second month.
Super horrible service provided by this young and pretty girl with long hair and nail and wears coloured lens. No eye contact and kept on playing with her phone. Only gives 1-2 words answers. We have to figure ourselves in front of her. ICA, pls stop issuing permit to people like her. SIMBA, pls fire her !!!!!!! We are customers, why should we put up with people like her. Better for her to work in nail and massage parlor
Ok broadband speeds - if a bit patchy even with wired connection.
Dreadful customer service - everything hidden behind bots and you have to give 35 days' notice to terminate.
Web App DANGER
The service is fine, especially when travelling in the region.
Support is weak and VERY DANGEROUS webapp reset password process.
Internet browser warn you on that connection is insecure, the support asks you to accept to go through as ther is no other way..
Not acceptable back end tech.
Selected an installation date and time however until the day of installation there is update on where are the team coming or not.
The only way to contact them is thru an email and no reply as well.
Is very disappointing
Terrific for data and voice roaming. Number of counties (esp. Europe) included in voice much larger than others. The best thing about them is customer service. When you have an issue or a question they are really quick to respond and polite.
Customer service support has been inefficient and unsatisfactory. Despite this being a simple issue a double payment inquiry. I have not received a timely response. It has been more than a couple of weeks, and my case is still unresolved. Compared to other local service providers, Simba’s customer support falls short.
Seriously f-ed up connectivity. Everyday at least an hour that there is no broadband connection.
Tried to terminate my contract, their online customer service sends me to call the hotline. Then the hotline sends me to do online message. Takes ages to respond, but says they can't do anything via online. What the f???
If you are a prospective customer/user, please avoid. Terrible connectivity, poor uptime, non existent customer service that makes sure you can't exit their services. Not the cheapest in the market anyway. Not worth the headache.
The telco purposely held hostage of the mobile number and create hurdle to stop users from porting out of their services. Please be careful when using this company service
