Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Consumers heavily criticized the poor network connectivity, noting that weak signals and frequent disruptions made daily internet usage and online transactions extremely difficult. Additionally, customers faced major problems with billing, describing unexpected charges, unwanted automatic renewals, and a frustratingly unhelpful online support team. Some reviewers were happy with the polite staff available at physical service centers and found the roaming connectivity quite useful when traveling abroad. However, others noted that resolving account problems online remained a tedious and stressful process, often leaving people without proper assistance or resolutions. Many individuals also experienced significant delays when attempting to terminate their long-term contracts.

I’ve been a customer of Simba but my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. The service quality has consistently declined — from poor network coverage to slow internet speeds, it’s been a constant battle just to stay connected. Customer support is another major issue. Every time I reached out for help, I was either kept waiting for ages or given unhelpful responses. It felt like they weren’t interested in resolving problems, just brushing them off. What’s worse, there seems to be a lack of transparency with billing and data usage. I noticed unexplained deductions and couldn’t get a clear answer from their support team. I wouldn’t recommend Simba to anyone looking for reliable service or decent customer care. There are definitely better options out there.
First time writing a review here— I usually don’t bother with reviews, especially for companies that clearly have no intention of improving customer experience, Ironically, their email signature is “Customer Experience.” Well, like many others here, I deeply regret switching from Singtel to SIMBA after seeing their flashy SGD 29.90 for 10Gbps offer. As the saying goes: you get what you pay for. Here’s our story: We scheduled a free activation for March 5, 2025. Unfortunately, my wife missed the appointment and no one was home. Surprisingly, the line was marked as “activated” by the technician—even though no one was there. We used the connection smoothly for a few weeks until March 27, when suddenly there was no internet. Our ASUS router started prompting daily: “Check with ISP.” Thinking an in-person visit would resolve things faster, my wife went to one of their retail stores. She provided all her personal details, only to be told there was no record of anything, and that she had to wait for an email from the broadband team. Wasted trip. Despite following up via email and Facebook, it took over a week for them to respond—and only then did they inform us that the activation was incomplete and now we had to pay SGD 70 for a technician visit. Customer experience so far: • No notification that activation had failed since March 5 and internet was activated • Wasted trip to their store with no support • Long wait times with generic, AI-generated/refined replies • No direct contact—email signatures lack any phone extension or DID. They won’t call no matter how you request Once you’ve signed up, that’s it. You’re locked in under their T&Cs. No matter what you explain politely or how frustrated you are, their team gives canned responses and hides behind policy. Any issues? Too bad. I take my own sweet time to respond. You’re stuck in a 365-day contract unless you’re willing to pay the price to leave early. That’s the feeling their support wanted Customer to perceive. If you really want to improve, you wouldn’t want customers to perceive that. So yes, SGD 29.90 sounds like a good deal—but this is exactly what you’re signing up for. Beware. So I have unchecked “Let Simba Sg knows” as they don’t deserve this. ⸻next stop Google Review!
Horrible company. I contacted them and explained that I have not used any data or minute of their services at all but have been charged for almost one year. I did not catch they would automatically charge my credit every month (that was my fault). They refused to refund even I have not used their service at all, citing the reason that I did not cancel the service earlier. So their position is basically they will charge you whenever and however they can, regardless of whether it is fair.
Truly regret my decision having switched over to Simba. I definitely feel i am using a handphone in the Jurrasic era with this lousy telco. Opting away is the only way.
Hi I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service we have received regarding the router installation. As you know, my parents were sold a 1Gbps router for a 10Gbps broadband subscription by the installer. This was done without any clarification or explanation of compatibility, leaving my parents with a device that does not meet the needs of the service they’ve paid for. The installer failed to ensure the router was suitable for the broadband speed they signed up for and my parents, who are not tech-savvy, were completely unaware of this discrepancy. After weeks of bringing this issue to your attention, it’s only now that you’ve been able to identify the root cause—the router that was sold to us by the installer. This oversight is completely unacceptable and I am demanding immediate action. I insist on replacing the router with one that is fully compatible with the 10Gbps broadband speed we purchased, and I expect the cost of this replacement to be borne by the installer. It is their responsibility to ensure the equipment they sell is suitable for the service and they failed miserably in this regard. Not only did they sell the wrong router, but they did so without providing any explanation or clarification of the product’s limitations. This situation is incredibly frustrating and I demand that you escalate this matter urgently. I also expect to be informed about who the installer was who visited our home so that I can raise this issue further. Their lack of professionalism and poor customer service is unacceptable and no customer should ever face this level of incompetence. Please let me know what immediate steps will be taken to resolve this issue. I am no longer willing to accept vague responses or delays.
Extremely terrible customer service. No phone numbers. Email replies are very slow and retarded. Don't understand the questions. Never answer the questions. Just copy and paste gibberish replies.
Had a laugh over some of the comments here. Everyone's experience is different and I would say my 5 months of experience of using SIMBA $12 plan tops my past 6 years of M1. Usage is usually in the North East, East and Orchard road region. Connections works well with the exception of certain sections of the NEL. Used the IDD and Internet in various parts of Malaysia and Thailand. Connection was good even at rural areas. At the price I am paying, I would say the returns are good.
Although my card is added , I am getting message unable to detect payment and account is suspended. I tried changing the card but still same. - there is no chat support - there is no customer care call support - there is no payment option where I can pay myself Very poor interface and support.
When I upgraded my plan from SuperRoam 10 to 12, I realised that SIMBA's primitive billing platform wasn’t able to deduct the amount from my account balance.
Affordable and good coverage in Singapore. Appreciate the free IDD service and Roaming Data. Works very well in Singapore and overseas.
Misleading and inadequate website. I tried to sign up to an eSIM online (the cheapo $5 Senior deal). After filling in several pages of the application process, I was then told I could not port over a pre-paid number from another telco online, but must go to a physical shop. So I spent a morning going to Nex interchange Booth B, to be told it was $10 and may take 5 working days. I decided not to port over my old number. And then was told the eSIM would cost $10 amyway, not $5 as advertised. Completely cheesed off by now, I nonetheless paid up as any well-trained and obedient Singaporean would do and not kick up a fuss. To top it all, the booth refused to issue a receipt. This bait and switch leaves me a bad taste in the mouth. Simba fully deserves its low rating on Trustpilot. Why can't all these hidden charges be made clear on their website? I would have gladly paid up had I been informed of all the various hidden charges in advance because in the end it wasn't a big deal. But I hate being made to waste time and be ambushed. I could have efficiently signed up online in 5 minutes instead of wasting half a day. Bad BAD BAD experience.
SIMBA is the worst telco in SG!!!!! No connection at all in most of the places. I have to look for WIFI as my phone connection always low. Cheap and worst!!
Signed up for their broadband a couple of weeks ago, no one actually knew the exact procedures switching over. On the installation day, no one turned up and there was no way of contacting customer service for a prompt response. Already regretting choosing this crap of an ISP.
Horrible. The network connection is very unstable and i DO NOT recommend using it. Even though they give 200GB for singapore and malaysia, it is useless and serves no purpose. I had to tag onto another hotspot to be able to use my phone. Do not recommend using this.
The Only Network Provider That Specializes in No Network If you’ve ever dreamed of paying a premium for a mobile network that exists purely in theory, then congratulations—you’ve found the perfect provider! This company has truly revolutionized telecommunications by redefining the concept of “coverage” to mean “we cover most areas… except the ones you actually need.” Let’s talk about the sheer genius of their business model. In the heart of the Central Business District—where you’d think a mobile network might actually work—their signal is as elusive as a free lunch in a five-star restaurant. Step into a building, and suddenly your phone transforms into a very expensive paperweight. Walk into an elevator? You might as well be on Mars. Want to make an urgent call? Well, how about a fun game of “find the one magical spot where the signal exists”? (Hint: it’s probably on a rooftop, in the rain, while balancing on one foot.) And let’s not forget their internet speeds. If you enjoy watching videos buffer for longer than the video itself, you’re in for a treat! Trying to send a WhatsApp message? You’ll have better luck with carrier pigeons. Need to use Google Maps? Hope you’re good at reading actual maps, because this provider will make sure you have plenty of time to practice while waiting for your GPS to load. The best part? They have the audacity to call themselves a “network.” Honestly, it’s more of a social experiment testing how long people will tolerate paying for nothing. I respect the commitment to the bit. It’s almost performance art at this point. If you want a mobile network that works, look elsewhere. But if you’re looking for the ultimate test of patience, endurance, and blind optimism, then by all means, sign up today!
I literally just top up my card yet i still didn't got it wtf?
Worst accounting. They dont give update statement of debit n top up. Just simply balance n invoice at beginning of each month. Have sent thru web form 3 time n called 3 times requesting mgr call bk to explain the issue n am update of their debit m credit thru last year. Still no call back. Accounting is terrible rather mo avcounting at all. Worst than starhub n singtel. Last call again today!!
Terrible reception in Singapore with their esim and constantly not having any reception at all. They don't even have any service and support department to help with my issue. Prepaid Money wasted
I had been user since TPG to SIMBA. No complaints till SIMBA upgrade plan to merge SG/MY data as one. In MY the data become so so bad almost unusable (super slow) even basic Whatsapp/telegram took up to 30 seconds to sent out 1 message. Any photos attachment it take more than 2 mins still sending. What's the use having 100GB is unusable speed. Roaming on Celcom supposed be very good coverage and stable MY network. Compare to M1 also roam on Celcom it work perfectly. It mean Simba buy Celcom slowest roaming connection for Simba user. Trade off for more data with unusable data speed. Consider before anyone subscribe by attractive data bundles.
