Reviewers overwhelmingly had a great experience with this company. Customers frequently praise the exceptional print quality, noting that multi-color prints turn out amazing with very little waste. Buyers also appreciate the fast delivery service, with orders often arriving in less than a week alongside secure packaging. Setting up the machine is described as simple, making it a great purchase for anyone interested in 3D printing.
Some reviewers were not happy with technical errors, mentioning unexpected jams and persistent mechanical issues during use. A few consumers also felt that the software requires further improvements to handle complex tasks smoothly.
I purchased the Snapmaker U1, and the printer is simply amazing. Snapmaker has clearly put a lot of effort not only into the printer’s design, but also into the overall user experience. The user manual is detailed and well thought out, and even the packaging the printer came in feels like a premium-quality product.
Their customer support deserves a mention as well — they are very quick to respond and genuinely helpful.
The delivery was also very fast.
Overall, I have absolutely no doubts or regrets about buying the Snapmaker U1. It has been a fantastic purchase, and I’m very happy with it.
Delivered quickly and without fuss.
Easy to set up thanks to the brilliant guide.
Have been using the printer for 4 months with different filaments and not had 1 failure.
Absolutely outstanding
I am very please and impressed with my Snapmaker 3d printer. Coming from a Bambu labs printer, I must say it does good job and is definitely a lot better in certain areas. overall, I am very happy with my purchase
The machine is incredible in terms of build and print quality. Technical support was also very quick and efficient; I had an issue during assembly (my mistake), and they were able to resolve it immediately. Thank you very much.
The Snapmaker U1 is my first 3D printer. Ive had it for about a week now and this is the coolest thing I've ever spent money on. If you are a creative type, an entrepreneur, a fixer, you have to get one of these things. I love it, my kids love it. We're already wanting to add more to our setup.
Only issue is our black spool was crossed up a bit so we had 2 failed prints that the system didn't detect. I unwound it and rewound it and so far so good.
Printer doesn’t work. Open the ticket with tech-support they gave me basic stuff that you can find on the Internet to do. I responded saying I did everything. It’s been two days and I haven’t heard anything back probably never will so I got a $900 paper weight.

Dear Frank,
We’re very sorry for the frustrating experience you’ve had with your new U1. We understand how disappointing it is to receive a new printer and then spend so much time troubleshooting it without being able to use it as expected.
We’ve reviewed your support case and understand that you have already completed the recommended troubleshooting steps, including repeated calibration attempts, belt adjustments, firmware updating, and Homing Calibration. We also noted the specific issue you reported with Toolhead 1 during the second pickup, as well as the unusual noise when picking up Toolheads 3 and 4.
We sincerely apologize that our follow-up did not happen as promptly as it should have. Your case has been escalated for further technical investigation, and we’ll continue working with you to identify the cause and find an appropriate resolution.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and again, we’re sorry that your first experience with the U1 has been frustrating.
Warm Regards,
Snapmaker
Great Printer for Experienced and Beginners Alike!
A fantastic printer, hands down. My first foray into multi-material printing and it's gone unbelievably well. I had an issue with one of the print heads getting fouled to the point where the filament had melted up into the toolhead. After a brief discussion, they happily replaced it.
Maintenance on this unit is much simply than other 3D printers I have used. Just a great product with great service.
Great customer support, but a very disappointing delivery experience
I purchased a Snapmaker U1 for €829 on August 30, mainly to increase my 3D printing production capacity. Unfortunately, my first experience with Snapmaker was heavily affected by the delivery process.
The original printer was shipped from Germany via DHL. For several days, the shipment had no meaningful tracking updates, and there was also an incorrect postal code on the shipping information.
What followed was an extremely confusing logistics journey involving DHL and CTT in Portugal.
Once the package arrived in Portugal, it reached Lisbon and was then sent to Devesas, which appears to have been related to the incorrect postal code. From there, it went to the Porto distribution centre. At that point, I expected the obvious next step would be to redirect it to the correct distribution centre in Maia, especially since I had already made several attempts to have the postal code corrected.
Instead, the package was sent all the way back to Lisbon, and only after that was it finally sent to the correct distribution centre in Maia and delivered.
This DHL/CTT partnership made the whole process particularly difficult to understand as a customer. At different stages, I contacted the carriers trying to correct the delivery information and understand what was happening, while being redirected between the parties involved. The parcel was moving around Portugal instead of simply being redirected locally to the correct delivery area.
The consequences were not limited to inconvenience. I purchased this printer for production purposes and had four customer orders depending on the additional production capacity. Because of the delay, I missed those production deadlines and had to contact my customers to renegotiate their delivery dates.
Eventually, Snapmaker decided that waiting for the original DHL/CTT shipment was no longer reasonable and sent me a replacement printer via UPS with the correct address.
The difference was remarkable: the UPS shipment arrived in just 5 days.
Ironically, after all the delays and the complicated journey of the original shipment, both printers ended up arriving almost at the same time. Given the timing of the two deliveries, it was practically impossible to refuse the original one. I immediately contacted Snapmaker to inform them that I had received both units.
I only opened the printer delivered by UPS. The original printer delivered through DHL/CTT remained unopened in its original packaging, ready to be returned.
Snapmaker confirmed that I should keep the UPS unit and that the original DHL shipment would be returned at no cost to me. However, at the time of writing this review, I have still not been able to arrange the return with DHL, so unfortunately the logistics side of this experience is not completely resolved yet.
That said, I want to clearly separate the logistics experience from the customer support I received.
Nina from Snapmaker Support was excellent throughout the entire process. She consistently responded to my messages, escalated the issue internally, listened to my concerns and genuinely tried to find solutions. When it became clear that the original shipment was becoming increasingly problematic, she helped arrange the replacement shipment via UPS.
Her support was probably the most positive part of this entire experience, and I genuinely appreciate the way she handled the situation.
So my experience with Snapmaker is mixed. The DHL/CTT logistics experience was extremely frustrating and unnecessarily complicated, particularly considering this was an €829 piece of equipment purchased for production purposes. In contrast, Snapmaker's customer support was responsive and ultimately found a practical solution, and the replacement shipment via UPS demonstrated that delivery from Germany to Portugal could be completed quickly and efficiently.
I am now finally able to use the U1 and evaluate the printer itself. I was actually considering purchasing a second Snapmaker U1 to further increase my production capacity, but this first purchasing and delivery experience has understandably made me more cautious about making another investment.
Hopefully, the experience with the U1 itself will restore that confidence.
From my experience, Snapmaker has a product I was genuinely interested in investing further in, but I strongly believe the company should review its European logistics arrangements — particularly the DHL/CTT delivery process in Portugal — because the shipping experience did not match what I would expect when purchasing equipment at this price level.

Dear Manoel,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review and for recognizing Nina’s support throughout this experience. We’re very glad that our team was able to stay in touch with you, escalate the situation, and arrange a replacement via UPS when the original shipment continued to be delayed.
At the same time, we’re truly sorry for the frustration and disruption caused by the original DHL/CTT delivery. We understand that this was more than a simple delivery inconvenience, as the delay affected your production schedule and customer commitments.
Your detailed feedback about the DHL/CTT handover process, address information, tracking, and the overall European delivery experience has been shared with our logistics team for review. We agree that there is room to improve the delivery experience and communication in situations like this.
We also appreciate your patience and cooperation throughout the return process, as well as your honesty in promptly letting us know when both shipments arrived. We hope that now that you have the U1, your experience with the printer itself will be a much more positive one.
Thank you again for giving Snapmaker a chance and for sharing such constructive feedback. We truly value it.
Warm Regards,
Snapmaker
My snapmaker u1 developed a clog while printing when the runout sensor did not detect a lack of filament. I was unable to clear the jam. Removing the toolhead, i noticed a spring and a washer rattling around theough a side window and was advised to disassemble the toolhead.
The toolhead is a mess of wires and differing sized screws. It is also very fragile with delicate plastic parts. Screwing in the cooling fan, the plastic brakets broke off. I glued the cooling fan in place, but was unable to screw in the left top fastener for the extruder - the screw stopped several mm short and so i could not close the back cover.
I replaced the screw with one of identical diameter but a bit shorter, but somehow, a crack developed at the side of the plastic housing the extruder. We’re talking 30 hours of total print time here and my printer is completely unusable.

So easy and quick to get my devices and accessories
You should be familiar with FDM anyway, but it was easy to assemble.
It is now my go-to 3d printer.Support has been excellent, but I have not had any technical issues so far, just a minor account issue. The Facebook groups have been really welcoming.
I want them to support 3rd party filaments in RFID recognition, but im4ok for now as I know how to set profiles
Awesome, and thank god it's open source
Nozzle clogged on first print with metal shavings. Required a full teardown.

Great little printer, not as refined as Bambu and a little noisy but what a time saver on multi color prints. The resources (Makerworld equivalent) are not there yet but there is great support from other users on Facebook.
The SnapMaker slicer is honestly a really bad user interface. Very confusing and not enough explanation of how to use it. But the printer itself is great.
After so much research in which company/machine to go with I ended up with the Snapmaker U1 and I am so happy I chose that route. Received it fast and so we'll packaged. Set up was so simple and I was up and printing in a flash. Very well done machine and I would recommend it to anyone.
