New to 3D Printing? Here’s Why I’m Loving the Snapmaker U1
I'm completely new to 3D printing, so before making the jump, I spent quite a bit of time researching different printers and trying to figure out which one would be the best fit for a beginner. After using the U1, I can honestly say I'm really impressed with how beginner-friendly it is.
The print quality has been excellent, and so far, I really haven't had any significant issues printing the things I've tried. As someone who's just getting started, that has made the learning process a lot more enjoyable and less frustrating.
One of the things I really appreciate about the U1 is how little filament waste there is when doing multi-color prints. Other than the prime tower, you're not throwing away a ton of filament every time the printer changes colors. That not only makes the printing process more efficient, but it also means you're saving filament—and ultimately money—while you're printing.
For someone new to 3D printing like me, the U1 has been a great way to jump into the hobby without feeling overwhelmed. I'm still learning, but so far, I'm really enjoying the experience and looking forward to seeing what I can create with it.
The printer is a great machine. had slight issue, was able to repair and move on. I love the way it feeds filament and unloads so much easier then dealing with a AMS. getting quality prints with minimal waste. I own 8 other printers and the U1 is my fav printer. if i could go back in time i would return all my printers and just fill up with U1's
Low rating due to High cost of shipping and handling.

The order process was easy and shipping executed efficiently. Product arrived as described and the instruction guide and follow-up emails help even beginners to quickly get familiar with all they need to know about the printer and the interfaces/software. So far it has been a great experience that makes you feel appreciated as a customer.
My first machine was the Snapmaker A350, and I was satisfied with it. With each subsequent machine—the Artisan and the U1—the quality kept getting better. The support is top-notch, offering quick responses and solutions to specific problems. Delivery is always on time. I have no reason to give lower ratings than full. Thank you for the excellent machines.
Don't waste your money. The boys at snapmaker obviously put far more effort into making their product look fancy than they put into making it actually work. I bought mine because I thought a 3 in 1 machine would save me money. Nope. I could have bought 3 different machines on Amazon for half the price and had better results. The 3D printing is slow and inconsistent at best. The CNC struggles with the softest of materials. The laser is nearly impossible to calibrate and the software doesn't seem to understand how it works. Luban and their firmware are both atrocious. Luban itself is buggy, unintuitive, feature sparse, and just incapable. It feels like a high school project. This company is pure gimmick and zero quality.

Dear Matthew,
We’re sorry to hear that your experience with Snapmaker has been so disappointing. We understand how frustrating it is when a machine does not deliver the results you expected, especially when you purchased it expecting the 3-in-1 functionality to be practical and reliable.
The issues you mentioned, including 3D printing consistency, CNC performance, laser calibration, and your experience with Luban and the firmware, are important feedback for us. We’d appreciate the opportunity to better understand what happened and see whether we can help address the specific issues you encountered.
Please contact our support team at [email protected] with your order details and any relevant information about the machine and the issues you experienced. Our technical team will be happy to take a closer look and assist you.

I got it out the box and it couldn’t even do the test print properly! The head kept crashing I tried to send it back, but I realized you get what you pay for 🙄. So after doing some research I was able to fix a brand new printer that seems to have multiple problems. It’s finally did like 5 updates and somewhat fixed some of the problems.

Dear Noah,
We’re sorry to hear that your printer arrived with issues and that you had to spend time troubleshooting it yourself. We understand how frustrating it must have been to encounter problems with the test print right out of the box, especially with the print head crashing.
We’re glad to hear that the updates and the adjustments you made have improved the situation, but a new printer should not leave you feeling that you have to fix these issues on your own. Your feedback about the initial setup and update experience is valuable to us, and we’ll make sure it is shared with the relevant teams.
If you’re still experiencing any issues, please click the link below to submit a support ticket. Our technical team will be happy to take a closer look and help ensure your printer is working as expected.

It's my first CoreXY and first multi toolhead printer. Setup was easy, just remember to read the manual and take things SLOWLY and don't HULK the screws during the setup. Finger tight, and 1/4 turn to finish.
Prints are good, and having the ability to multicolor print is amazing!
