I’m talking about general the gym. It’s okay. I’ve been training over 21 years however it’s a little bit lack of communication from the staff and also the prices is very much for cancellation. Where other Jim a lot cheaper for cancelling. If you’re not happy there is no gym should lock you up for Contact. You can’t get out of it. Why do you have to be half of the membership? If you cancelling? It doesn’t have to have reason I cancelled because I’m not happy with that. I have to finish my membership and move to somewhere else a lot cheaper and a lot of better equipment than any time fitness there is no opportunity to give them good review and even if there is about friendly staff I never find that opportunity to do so so this is the only way I could give them review which is not happy one stop more than enough for them to just find out how this works
I was extremely satisfied with my experience with Training instructor Charles Dean...very personable, knowledgeable, patient instructor who helped regain strength to my shoulders and legs after 40 years in the painting trades...highly recommend this gentleman
The single best decision I made after I retired, was joining Anytime Fitness on John Milton Drive in Reston Va. I joined, because my doctors told me that unless I worked on my core, and my balance, I was just one fall away from a serious injury. I’ve been working with Beverly & Maria, and they are incredible knowledgeable, highly trained, and very patient. I used to be a runner, but I didn’t do much strength training. They are focused on increasing my strength & balance, and I am really amazed how much progress I’ve made in such a short time. The staff are very kind & considerate, and I feel very comfortable working out next to people who are so much stronger than I am. The staff is also flexible. I’ve belonged to other gym, but this place makes me feel like it was tailored for me.
I had a wonderful experience here! It's nice and private, not having too many people at once. The front desk staff are superb!! Will keep attending here!
This gym is fully equipped with good quality equipments and here the environment is also suitable for better workout. It also feels premium because of its low crowd .
Do anybody took personal training with the regular gym and tried to cancel the membership before the contract ends?
The place is great to get your workouts done!
Be careful because this place will talk you into a 2 year contract without First telling you about the 2 year contract membership that locks you in for 2 years meaning you are not allowed to cancel before your two years is up even after only 2 months.
I went to cancel my membership on June 3, they said it would be $250 to cancel or I could pause my membership for 90 days. I decided to pause my membership for 90 days because they said that I would be informed when the charge was about to come up again less than a month later, I was charged my monthly fee again without notice. Today I’ve spent about two hours on the phone with the third-party billing company to get this taken care of after I spent about half hour at the gym this morning running through all the charges, which were double what I expected. Which was my responsibility and my issue for not paying attention to my finances, but I ended up paying instead of about $40 a month about $80 a month. I do not recommend this gym to a single person. The people at the gym are so kind but every piece of advice that that lady gave me to get my account canceled today did not align with the third-party billing company. I am not a fan of this Customer Service the gyms are so nice and so clean small comfortable, but the Customer Service is horrendous.
Beware of contract terms when signing up. I stayed a loyal customer while they offered no discount to existing customers even though they regular do heavy discounts to attract new customers. I was not aware of the 30 day notice required to finish the contract so I was stung with 1 month of fees when moving abroad so it may py you to be mindful about it. My local gym was clean and well equipped, atmosphere was nice. The experience can be a bit touch and go when attending other branches, they tend to have varied equipment which is a bit of a hassle due to different ergos and to track progressive overload. I am rating them bad as I feel their contracts are borderline abusive, regardless of what other gyms are doing or what is customary in Australia, many wrongs do not make a right, there really are no genuine excuses this day and age to steal 1 month worth of fees from an otherwise happy customer. They immediately turned me into an enemy and I wont ever touch these gyms ever again.
Amazing equipment nice staff always clean and a buetiful manager so hot and polite good energy wife material
Tried to terminate my contract and even though I followed there policy they changed the playing filed to suit them and charge additional fees. Then when you try and discuss this with a senior manager they go into hiding and will not speak with you. Unless you intend staying with them for life, avoid at all costs.
I just became a member, and have to say the gym I am at, has a lot of machines. I like the idea of being able to enter when it is convenient. My first experience was with our customer service rep, super nice and took the time to explain everything in detail - concerning costs. He also took us through the gym, explained the various machines and devices. I actually haven't worked out at a gym since 2013-2014, so this was a pleasant experience.
Having been a member of Anytime Fitness out of state, I immediately thought that this would be a good experience compared to the previous one. However, I was not given options for various payment plans or memberships I discovered only after I had problems with canceling that there were additional options. The sales person never presented any short- term options as I was hoping to try the facility out for three months to see if I would be dedicated and and taking advantage of the membership. I tried canceling with a 30-day notice. I explained that to the owner, Megan, and Dave that I had no intentions of signing up for a full- year membership or contract because I was not sure how consistent I could go to the club due to my work schedule. The club that I belonged to in Michigan allowed for cancellation with a 30 day notice. I assume this Club had the same process. I filed a complaint with the Atty. General because I was being forced to pay for a year’s contract when I had no intentions of doing so from the very beginning. I provided numerous text messages and emails stating my position. The owner, Megan, lied to the Attorney General and stated that they presented options of different plans. The Atty General‘s office for Missouri did not bother to read the documentation I presented because they harassed me by calling almost every day. I still have the call logs. And they got money out of me that they shouldn’t have. Finally, I settled with the collection agency because it was cheaper than giving them money that they were not entitled to. It is a shame that even when you provide documentation to the Attorney General‘s office that they do not bother to negotiate or settle the disagreement versus siding with the owner. I asked the Attorney General where is the evidence that they offered me contractual options? There was none. I indicated that I had documentation of the call logs from when they were harassing me. Everything that the owner claimed was a lie as she was not the person that was there when I signed my contract and the former employee obviously made a misstep. They’re only concerned is getting your money at any cost.
I have been an Anytime Fitness member for four years, and this was the first time I had extremely negative experience. At other Anytime Fitness locations, the staff have always been welcoming and supportive of my personal dance practice and let me offer classes there, and I have never had any issues. I only visit North port, FL location a few times a year while traveling. During my most recent visit, I was told that I could no longer do my dance practice because I was barefoot. I my kind of dance practicing without shoes is safer option to reduce the risk of injury. I was respectful to others, had my music in my AirPods and practiced standing on 4x4 square, alone in the studio. I have to have connection to the ground in my practice even merely standing. I offered to sign additional liability waiver releasing the club from any responsibility in case of any injury. I was told that my existing waiver was already sufficient, but that they simply did not want me practicing that way in the facility. What saddened me the most was not the policy itself, but the way I was treated. District manager called my personal phone, I thanked her for the call. She told me in an ultimatum-like manner to “leave the premises immediately and never return without shoes”. In these exact words. She sounded aggressive. This is shocking treatment to a loyal member and teacher (I used to teach at a different facility). In fact it is the first time I am treated like this by a business. It is very surprising, because I used this location multiple times for this same training. This effectively makes the location unusable for me. I don’t use any of the gym’s facilities other than a small section of the studio and the mirror for my own practice. Since I don’t use the equipment or other amenities, prohibiting me from practicing barefoot completely eliminates any reason for me to use this location. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this particular location to dancers, yoga and stretching practitioners, or anyone whose training requires practicing barefoot. This experience was completely different from the welcoming atmosphere I have consistently experienced at Alexander City Alabama Anytime Fitness club.
Excellent gym with modern equipment, a great variety of machines and free weights, and everything is always well maintained. The facilities are spotless, and the cleanliness is consistently impressive. The staff are friendly, professional, and create a welcoming atmosphere. A great place to train, whether you’re a beginner or experienced. Highly recommended!
I never expected such a frustrating experience from Anytime Fitness. My membership was automatically transferred to another club, which resulted in a higher membership fee - 45% more expensive. I contacted Anytime Fitness as soon as I became aware of the transfer because I did not want my membership assigned to that club and asked for my concerns to be reviewed. Unfortunately, the response was disappointing. Instead of investigating my complaint, I was simply quoted sections of the membership agreement and referred back to the same club that I had made a formal complaint about. As a customer, that doesn't feel like an independent or fair complaints process. I have not attended that club for a long time, yet my membership remains assigned there. I have now requested my attendance records to understand why this is the case. Customer service should be about listening to customers and finding solutions, especially when concerns are raised about a specific club. Instead, I have felt ignored throughout the process. I hope Anytime Fitness reviews its complaint handling procedures and provides members with genuine support when issues arise.
I would give it a 0 if I could, wouldn’t recommend to anyone, Very disappointed with the management and how customer concerns are handled. Instead of listening and trying to resolve the issue fairly, management was dismissive and unwilling to take any responsibility. Communication was unprofessional, and there was no effort to find a reasonable solution despite my attempts to explain the situation. Customer service should involve understanding and resolving issues, not simply repeating terms and conditions without considering the circumstances. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this business due to the poor management and lack of genuine customer care.
