What reviewers say

AI generated

Customers frequently complained about poor product quality, including short expiration dates and damaged goods, alongside missing items from their shopping deliveries. Furthermore, consumers highlighted unhelpful support teams, persistent website glitches that prevent order updates, and frustrating delivery delays without proper advance notifications. Though some customers faced serious challenges, reviewers were consistently happy with the local delivery drivers. Many people described these staff members as polite, very helpful, and professional when bringing grocery orders directly to their homes.

What a mess

For being one of the biggest supermarket in the UK, Asda is a complete and utter mess because of the following reasons. They need to look at ocado and copy their strategy. 1) what a rubbish app, slow and slugish. Recently I added some items from my favourites and it added them twice so be warned. 2) none of the items on offer actually gets delivered, the day before you get a email saying items not available or substituted. Always get whats ordered with ocado, they need to upgrade their systems for a simple stock check. Going to point 3 3) why on earth will you substitute soya mince with mince beef, cauliflower with a courgette. 4) delivery's always missing items so you have to go through the refund way. On a plus its easy to get the money refunded from the app.

Please restore the website to previous version.

Been using ASDA web-site to get home deliveries for several years. Service has generally been very good -that is until they "improved" the web-site this summer. Their introductory e-mails made it sound that the experience going forward would be brilliant. Since then, the site is clunky, difficult to follow logically, makes simple tasks like reordering regular items slower and more complex, throws me out for no reason, and sometimes fails to retain the order I had already placed when I make additions. Its latest achievement was when I went on the site in late October in order to skip my slot for a particular week we were going to be away. It decided to cancel all my weekly slots until 2nd December (today). Last straw I am afraid. Will not be renewing delivery pass, and will try somebody else.

Slow crashing website

⭐️The website is awful. Crashes all the time. Products out of stock always seem to be the cheaper options. ⭐️The pickers, sometimes the substitutes are ridiculous ⭐️Shelf life is very short on most products delivered, like they are trying to get rid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ the delivery drivers in our area are brillant. Always polite and helpful ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Good special offers, eg meal for 2 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Quick refund system. Morrisons online refunds are ridiculous. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Good week day discount on delivery pass Let's hope that Project Future deliveries the great new platforms its promised. ⭐️😡 customer service is awful on all online platforms

Greedy price increase…

I noticed asda had their mince pies in store. I noticed the price £1.61 increased 29 p from approx £1.35 last year as I picked them up i realised that there were only 4 pies instead of 6last year an asda mince pie cost approx 22p this year a mince pie will cost approx 40p an increase of 18p per pie. I will not be buying their mince pies this year. But also this has alerted me to check all asda pri es mo ing forward what used to be a consumer friendly fairly priced remember patting your pocket jingle saying thats the asda price. Saving people money well my pocket will zipped up in asda. Not the family store it used to be.

BEWARE OF FROZEN THAI CHICKEN MEALS.

I made my 1st order with them. I wanted 2 frozen meals and 4 chilled ready meals. They managed to screw up the order by sending all frozen ready meals, however, they subsituted 3 of the chilled meals with stuff that had to be cooked in an oven, and which I would not consider bying. They also sent me 2 frozen THAI CHICKEN meals, which gave me food poisoning.

Awful

Awful, they dont care about customers im still owed over £15 from September, rung customer services today, nothing but rude, wouldnt let me speak to manager, gave me wrong email address. Im shopping elsewhere, had enough of short dates, no delivery updates, shame as drivers are actually decent. Said ive had refund can prove i havent, so will go to trading standards as they really dont care at all 😡 proves that as they dont even bother to reply to complaints on here

Online grocery payments not being accepted.

In all my years of having groceries delivered have I never had an issue placing an online order until now. Basically the website will not accept a payment no matter how you try. Tried 3 different browsers, tried the app, cleared all caches, virus check done and still to no advantage. Seeing just how many delivery slots are available each day, means nobody is getting deliveries. I phoned customer service only to be told there is a known problem and to just keep trying to pay each day. The Down website shows this has been going on since the beginning of October. Shall never buy from Asda again, I hope they go bust.

The new app is really trying my patience

The new app is really trying my patience. No narrowed down delivery time just the standard 2 hour slot showing but most frustrating is being unable to amend an order. Sometimes it lets me amend a couple of times but you can guarantee that my final, most crucial amendment never goes through. It always says Unable to take payment. I've phoned and used Messenger but all you get is "We're working on it". My delivery pass is due for renewal in December and I'm not sure if I should renew it. I like Asda but this is seriously frustrating. Is it so difficult to get some tech experts to fix the glitches. Come on Asda or you'll lose so much custom.

Asda frozen chicken breast fillets

I want to give a review about frozen chicken breasts. For some reason they are slimey and unpleasant to handle. I sent a review to Asda but - no response. I like a lot of Asda stuff, orange juice ice lollies. I gave a 5* review for the lollies and a 1* for the chicken. Guess what? The review for the chicken just didn't appear.

Very disappointed,I ordered 4 items

Very disappointed,I ordered 4 items, delivery came and there was only 3 items in the bag. Asked the driver,he said I didn't get charged for the item missing. Wtf....not even a notification that item is not available? What kind of service is this? Absolutely disgusting this is. Now I have to wait 24 hours for the receipt to see if I have actually been charged for the missing item, £15 frying pan.

Extremely unreliable

Every time I think I’ll use them as their let downs must have been a one off it goes wrong again. Either the most basic of items are not available ie. Cucumber, bread, yoghurts etc. This happens with 5-10 items per order! My orders are only small to begin with as it’s me and my child so I rarely go above £65/70 a shop which also includes pet food and laundry items so about 2-3 bags of life worth of stuff and yet I’m lucky to get it complete. I turned off subs as items were not even closely matched and I always had to give these back to the driver. For such a large supermarket to not even have standard items available week in week out is pathetic

App hopeless since upgrade

I have used the app for years (previously website ) and since the recent update it is hopeless. Rewards vouchers have disappeared and also free meals voucher during the holidays. Ringing the helpline is dreadful. The app is hard to navigate and is forever crashing. Hope they’re not trying to make us shop in store as it’s 50 mile round trip to my nearest Asda so I’ll have no option but to change supermarket.

I placed an order online with a £100…

I placed an order online with a £100 gift voucher 2 weeks ago..the order didnt go through but charged my gift card..i have called them several times just for them To tell me that its goun to be escalated.. all im saying thank god in previlidged, but if this was an elderly on their last £100 theyd be dead waiting without groceries or money to buy food.

The app is useless

The app is useless. They launched a new app a few weeks ago and I’ve never had so much trouble. This is the second time I am unable to amend my order despite having an email saying I can amend my order until 6am on the day it is due. It sometimes checks out, sometimes not. At the moment it says I have £3.25 in my basket but when I go and look it says my basket is empty. It cannot search for things I know Asda sells so many of my regulars don’t exist on the app yet I know they sell them in store. Telephoning is all but useless, “computer says no” scenario. The call centre is not based in the UK and when you ask to be put through to someone in the UK they refuse or cut you off. And this silly man on the phone keeps telling you that the best way to get help is online, yeah right. I think for Asda it should have been don’t fix something that isn’t broken.
