Wrong bike shipped, then told my size was out of stock
I ordered a Polygon Strattos 7 in Size Small from BikesOnline, the exclusive US retailer for Polygon. What arrived was a Strattos 8 in Size Large, two sizes too big. I called it in right away and a support ticket was opened by the rep I spoke with, but I never heard back from him again after that.
When support did follow up, I was told my correct size was now completely out of stock, so the order I’d already paid for couldn’t be fulfilled. I asked about a comparable bike in my size or an even exchange to the next model up, and both were declined. The only resolution offered was a refund, which was initially framed as a “goodwill” gesture rather than the standard fix for a mistake that was entirely on their end.
I did receive a full refund including shipping and tax, so I’m not out any money. But I never got to ride the bike I ordered, and I lost the time spent unpacking, measuring the frame to confirm the sizing error, repackaging it, and coordinating the return.
To be fair, the bike itself (the wrong one they sent) looked well made, and their eventual refund was handled fully once it went through. But their warehouse inventory clearly wasn’t accurate at the time of my order, and there was no real path to actually getting me the bike I paid for.
Sad that they are only way to get new Polygon in USA. Customer service is terrible if you have small issues with new bike. Polygon should try and find more reputable way to sell their bikes in USA.
Its awesome, everything I wanted out of a reasonably priced bike, I orginally wanted the T7 (my dad had one that got me into this) but the T8 was hard to pass up and was in the size I wanted. It's nimble, relatively light, rides incredibly smooth, has all the adjustments in the fork and rear shock. Tires are great, the 12x speeed and SLX is hard to beat at the package price. Its just amazing, I've taken it for well over 150 miles in the short weeks I've had it, I honestly could not be happier with the purchase. Shipping was quick, package was well taken care of, no damage to bike inside!
Great customer service answered my questions thoroughly and they were half the price of the other bike stores!

It's online shopping so on big ticket item's that's concerning. But fed ex delivered and required signature. Easy to assemble if you have any wit about you. They do what they say.
I absolutely love the bike and everything about it minus the saddle, which is minor. Customer service is great. I had one question and they answered immediately.
I've been going to bikesonline for years now. Started out with my Polygon T7. At the time they were having some issues with the wheel spokes that come on the T7. I had three spokes pop within a few weeks of normal riding. They had me get them re-spoked at my local shop and sent me the money for it. That was really appreciated. Always easy and quick to get replacement parts for it through them as well. Just recently bought a set of crankbrothers wheels, front and rear, for $250. Couldn't be happier with them so far. Would highly recommend using them if they have what you need.
It has taken me a couple of days to get my thoughts together on how I could effectively state what it means to do business with BikesOnline.
In April of 2025 we purchased an electric mountain bike, Polygon to be exact from BikesOnline. This was a big purchase for my husband but after lots of reviews we decided this was the bike for him.
Fast forward to July of 2026, my husband broke a derailer hanger and upon further inspection the bike frame had broken at the rear swing arm. I contacted BikesOnline to see about purchasing a new swing arm or if this was covered under warranty.
This is where our BikesOnline SUPERHERO Customer Service Rep., Jeredi stepped in and let me tell you…She is the absolute best!! She handled everything from requesting pictures and other information that needed to be related to Polygon Bikes for a warranty claim. We were thrilled that my husband’s frame was covered under the warranty, and we were expecting a new lower swing arm to arrive so you can only imagine our surprise when Polygon Bikes and BikesOnline sent a new frame (we were both in tears).
To say that BikesOnline offers great bicycles, accessories and phenomenal customer service is an understatement.
We will be lifelong customers of BikesOnline and Polygon Bikes. If you are in the market for anything cycling related, you will not go wrong with BikesOnline and Polygon Bikes will be the next new bicycle we purchase.
