My purchase was a surprise gift for my husband and I specifically requested no emails be sent. This is the second one I’ve received. Won’t try to surprise him at your company again. The two ladies I spoke to on the phone were super nice however.

Thank you for the review. We apologize for the email notifications. It was not our intent to ruin the surprise.
I'm a new beekeeper and have placed several orders with Brushy Mountain. My orders have arrived within a few days (even though I choose "free" shipping), arrive in good condition, and everything is exactly as I ordered. I "comparison shop" and feel I'm getting a good value for my dollar. I've also called their Customer Service Dept and gotten friendly, helpful info from them.
Their prices are a tad bit better than most other Beekeeping Equipment companies, I only wish they would go back to free shipping to any product(s) over $99.00, because with beekeeping equipment, that's very easy to do, but sometimes $150.00 can be difficult to reach.
I bought two sets of 10, 9 3/8 frames with the wooden frame and the black plastic foundation and they said in the add that they were glued and stapled at the top of the frame. I opened the box when it came in and there were a few frames where the top of the frame had staples sticking up and were not glued. the top bar of the frame was not glued as well and the top was loose from the rest of the frame. I would think that with what you spend on these items that they would be as described in their add but they were not.
This is my first year and of course I needed EVERYTHING. I found it all here and at a very reasonable price. A couple of items were on backorder, so I just had them hold my order until everything was available. It was easy to get a hold of someone for updates and my items arrived quickly. Even easier to put things together. Slight problem putting foundation on the frames (again first year lol) but it's okay, they had a tutorial for that!
Great shopping experience online, I can't wait to visit the store!
Wow, what a joke. I've placed dozens of orders from Mann Lake, Bailey's, Miller Bee... Thought I'd give Brushy Mountain a try...forget about it, they don't have their crap together. Ten minutes after placing my order they came back and told me some items wouldn't ship for free and it would be $32 extra!! I told them to remove those items. Then an hour later they email me and tell me something is backordered and they have to charge me shipping if I want it. Really? Their "free shipping" must be a scam so they can get your order and credit card info, then call and tell you that somethings wrong and they have to charge you. They seemed intent on charging me shipping no matter what. Forget this place.
Read their Facebook reviews, this is a continuing problem dating back to over a year. They often don't have inventory, then email customers and tell them they have to charge them extra for the backorders. Scam scam scam.

Thank you for the review. We do not obtain credit card information to try and charge additional fees. Our free shipping policy does not cover back ordered items, however, we do offer to hold the entire order until all items are in stock so that customers do not experience additional fees. We are sorry that you feel this way but we are in no means trying to "scam" anyone.
Quality materials delivered quickly make this site a great choice in my opinion when you need things to care for your apiary. Thanks for the great product and efficient service
Very nice to work with. The online ordering was easy to use. When there were questions the customer service was very helpful. Would recommend to all my friends.

Thank you for the review and glad to hear ordering online was easy.
Everyone was extremely helpful and professional. All of my questions were answered. My bee hive is bussing like crazy and are looking very healthy.
Thanks to everyone.

Brushy Farm has made labels for our honey for two years running in different sizes. They are careful to make sure that the information is exactly as we wanted it before running the orders. The results have been nothing but excellent! We have bought the small honey bear jars, 8 oz and 16 oz jars and all have been of the highest quality.

We have purchased twice from Brushy Mountain Bee Farm. The first time was two years ago. The weather here in Oregon was cool and rainy for nine days after the bees' arrival. On the 10th day, they all flew off. We did not complain, thinking that sometimes these things happen.
When we bought from them this time, there was a storm coming, it had been in the news for days. Pick up day was the day of the storm, with high winds, cold and rain. We picked them up anyway, since the company said "pick up that day or lose your money." It was COLD, and rained for two weeks straight after the bees arrived. They all died. I e-mailed to complain, and reminded Brushy Mountain that accurate weather predictions are available for more than a month in advance. They should have rescheduled the date, and did not. When they finally called me, they claimed the storm just "rolled in" and that they had only 12 hours notice. Apparently they never listen to the news, or check weather predictions. We have spent hundreds of dollars with them, bee jackets, veils, tools, pollen patties and two packages of bees. Yet all they offered was to sell us a nuc for $90! And of course, since we have a top bar hive, there is no guarantee a nuc would even work. Not wanting to throw good money after bad, we declined. Then he said maybe they could come up with some bees for us, at "the end of the season." Right, when they don't have enough time to build comb and gather food before winter comes in. We were appalled at the lousy customer service, after spending so much money. They should survey everyone who picked up bees that stormy day in April. I would be surprised if even 50% of them survived. And if yours didn't, don't expect any help from this company!

Thank you for the review. Unfortunately we schedule our bee pick up days well in advance and are at the whims of mother nature as well as the producers. We are sorry to hear that your bees have not survived but there may still be opportunity if we have bees later in the season.
Other than waiting six weeks instead of the two weeks as promised, everything was great. Had a box that was damaged and it was replaced in two days. If they had half stars, I would have given 4.5 stars.
Excellent products at reasonable prices, with wonderful service. Every piece of equipment has given me outstanding performance. Keep up the great work.
