I have 3 different crypto exchange companies I use. Coinbase, Kraken and Gemini. I just want to say without a doubt, Coinbase is head and shoulders above the other 2. Coinbase honors the security parameters you set up. Coinbase knows when a suspicious transaction is happening on your account. They will email and text you for your verification. This is reassuring since Kraken does not do that. When you are in crypto space, you want to work with a company you can trust. Coinbase puts a hold on new wallet addresses, and it lets you know a new address is being added to your account. Kraken does not do that. I have already written a review on how bad Kraken is so I want this review to show how different Coinbase is and how they do value your security.
Made a deposit on friday evening 20:03 with ideal and still did not receive my money on the account never seen before that i have to wait 3 days before. I can understand if its a high amount but to wait already 3 days for a 60 euro deposit with ideal is crazy.

Great for beginners very safe never had any issue with swapping Tokens or Selling.
If you could give negative stars that would be best. It would be Negative 10. Have not accessed my account in 2 years, phone# changed and forgot password. Easy to get a new password; code went to old/non-working phone #, then required identity verification. No Problem. Six times took pictures of license, scan of face, system can't verify. Help is to try again. Puts you in a loop. I Attempt to get help through website, a contact us page, anything to get a chat, human being or email that is not a "no-reply" header. Everything requires logging in and that is my problem; Can't login! I get an email that asks to verify a change in my email. This is not me, IT IS FRAUD; someone trying to steal my account. It has a "no-reply" return email address. Hard to verify if email address won't take a reply. If a human being reads this. - PLEASE RESPOND.
I just wasted 8 hours trying to send bitcoin, and was blocked at every turn by Coinbase's stupidity and incompetence. The initial problem was, I want to send bitcoin to someone I've dealt with many times before, and trust. But coinbase has begun to flag every transfer to this person's lightning invoice as "a possible scam". This causes 3 things to happen: 1. The transfer is held until Coinbase can investigate it, which will take up to 72 hours. 2. My account is blocked from sending any bitcoin to anyone until I do their ID verification again. 3. Supposedly, the transfer will go thru if I do this verification. But, Coinbase's website and app are both so screwed up that it took me 6 hours to go thru the ID verification ONCE. A lightning invoice times out after 10 minutes. SO, my possible ways of sending bitcoin are either to wait 72 hours for Coinbase to investigate, or to take 6 hours to do their photo ID verification, in less than 10 minutes. In other words: It is impossible to make transactions with this person anymore through Coinbase. Their website is currently broken in that: A) they have moved EVERYTHING in BOTH the web and phone app user interfaces around AGAIN, so that no AI can help me navigate the twisty maze of Coinbase's webpage or app. B) it is no longer possible for the website to redirect to your cell phone if your desktop computer has no camera. C) their AI for recognizing IDs will not work with old cameras D) there is no way anymore to initiate the ID verification process through the menu system of either their website or their app, so E) if you don't have a recent webcam on your desktop, you are forced to do the ID check through a browser on a phone app, and F) the browser keeps trying to redirect you to the app, but G) keeps thinking the app is not installed, so instead of opening the app it opens the Google Play store Sorry, I'm out of time. I don't have time to describe ALL THE WAYS their app and website are broken. So I talked to their chatbot, which was a complete waste of time. So I talked to human support. One of them was, finally, able to get me thru their ID verification process. But my account was immediately blocked the next time I tried to send bitcoin. So I talked to another human to find out why it keeps flagging that recipient as "possible scam". The human told me that she wasn't allowed to tell me why. So Coinbase won't let me send money to this person, even though I am willing to accept full responsibility if it is a scam (it isn't); and won't tell me why they think it's a scam, so I can't work with the vendor to fix the problem. I tried to submit a complaint on Coinbase's "submit a complaint" web page, but of course, that's broken too. You can't enter a complaint number; you can only choose one from a list--and the number that the help agent gave me is not on the list.
A week ago I sent some xrp crypto about 900 worth to my coinbase wallet from another platform but accidentally put the wrong Tag memo. But the tag I entered was my old one before I generated for a new one just a few days before I made this transaction. You figured even though I made that mistake the funds would still reach my coineebase wallet because it was still my xrp tag destination. Didn't receive it. Reached out to support and they wouldn't so anything to help. They said they on allow one time curdicy help to retrieve my funds which I already used up. Tried looking up their policy for that and couldn't find one. I even had them call me so I could talk to person and even they wouldn't help. I really needed that money too and messed up how one minor mistake ruined everything and when your wallet support doesn't want to do anything I ng about it to help that even sucks more. Thinking twice if I want to stay loyal to coinbase when my loyalty gets me no help from them weh I need it the most.
Absolutely unacceptable and fraudulent. They never mention anywhere that your funds will be held until you complete address verification. Their chatbot doesn't even recognize the issue at first, takes no responsibility, and simply sends you to the support team of the platform you transferred the funds from. It is absolutely fraudulent to provide zero warning about this during the sign-up process and then hold customers' funds until additional verification is completed.
There is absolutely no way to talk with a live agent at this company so folks when the big crypto crash cometh and you need help making a withdrawl get ready because they will lock down your account for whatever reason they deem appropriate and there is nothing you can do about it to get your money. Meanwhile while they make you wait the standard 24 hours for a reset your account dropped 30 to 40%.
I gave it 1 star because I had to. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. I had money deposited in the account available to withdraw. The company for no reason whatsoever disabled withdrawing from my account. Over the last month I have talked to 10+ support personnel all of which were completely useless. They will tell you they “escalated” your case to the team. Which I’m convinced means they will give you the bird with both hands and throw your case in the trash. This case is still ongoing. I wouldn’t reccomend this department or this company to my worst enemy. 0/5 Epstein island has better reviews
If you buy USDC, you can't send it anywhere as coinbase thinks it's a scam! They will request you to verify your identity for every single transaction, and even if you do, it still wont go through! Support also will not help you.
