I tried to convert my crypto holdings to USD, and within about two minutes the conversions came out as ETH/BTC instead of the USD I was aiming for, roughly $1,500 gone to fees and price movement in the process. Whatever the mechanics, the interface made it far too easy to end up somewhere I didn't intend, extremely fast, with no meaningful confirmation step to catch it. What frustrated me more than the loss was the response. I reported it immediately with screenshots, timestamps, and call logs. Support's replies were vague, slow to take any position, and ultimately fell back on the user agreement rather than engaging with what actually happened on screen. I escalated as far as I could and still walked away feeling dismissed. For a platform handling people's money, the combination of a fast, unforgiving conversion flow and a support process that defaults to "not our problem" is hard to recommend. Be very careful confirming trades here; the interface will not save you from a costly mistake, and don't expect much help if one happens.

Coinbase keeps soliciting me to gamble on sports. Degenerative behavior from a 'financial institution'. Worse still; their sportsbook partner is Kalshi Two stars because they're still the best liquidity in the US. Spot trading fees are also completely absurd. If only the CME had spot markets and perps. Sure CME has event contracts but they don't have a history of changing the rules after an event and the fees are somewhat reasonable. Kalshi can sit on a rake. Just become an FCM and offer CME event contracts.

When you buy Bitcoin say at 60,000, Coinbase will peg the price not at that price at 60,000 but at 61,000. I don't know if only coinbase is doing that but other Echanges too. They already charged you a fee and their fees are one on the highest.

Restricted my account from day 1 and I still have no idea why. Told me the restrictions had been removed when I complained but they hadn't. When I got annoyed about it and said I would leave a review on here, they told me to remove my funds and would offer me no further assistance. Effectively I'm forced to sell my crypto in order to withdraw my money back to my linked account.... at a loss!!!! Coinbase are arrogant and customer service is poor. Still have no explanation and my first experience of using crypto.

I was really impressed with the level of security used when making a recent transfer from my Coin Base account. The procedure was explained clearly and was executed very quickly. Even for a beginner like me, it was easy to make this transfer.
No instant deposit possible eventhough they claim it is
Dreadfull. When making a deposit it litterally states that SEPA deposits take 1-3 days and SEPA instant deposits take up to a minute. I did an instant deposit and it immidiately reflected in the history tab, but they mark it as pending. Support told me that also instant deposits take 1-3 days. If it's not instant when using SEPA instant, don't put it on your deposit page as it being instant. If I knew in advance it would take 1-3 days anyway, I wouldn't have chosen for coinbase.

Won't let me withdraw my cash. I literally have to speak to live chat support because I don't have the option to to withdraw despite following all of their instructions.

They lure you in with signup and referral rewards, but the moment you transfer and spend your hard-earned money to fulfill their requirements, they steal your rewards and refuse to pay. Their support is a joke, constantly changing case numbers to stall and avoid paying what is legally owed. They even maliciously doxed my identity on Trustpilot for calling them out. Avoid these scammers at all costs.
