Course Hero saved me prepping for finals this year. Not sure how I'd have managed without it - easy to use, easy to upload my own docs in exchange for other docs. Definitely recommend to any student looking for help.
The website is difficult to read, feels like there is too much activity on a single screen. I don’t understand the process for uploading my study materials. The site doesn’t seem to be built for anyone who is a new user. It seems to assume a level of knowledge about how the info sharing works.
Do not trust this website. They are scams! I tried to buy $30 monthly subscription and got charged 143 and they would not give me a refund when they said they would. They told me they didn’t charge me but seen it taken out my account, i even went negative because of them. Instead they took it out of my transaction so it does not show on my statements and i was not able to show proof to my bank. Do not trust them!!!
Over 80 documents uploaded over years to this site. If I could give a 0 stars I would. After years of using coursehero my account was terminated stating multiple infringements of copyright and plagiarism. 1. I have never had an infringement or been accused of plagiarism in my life. 2. When filing a dispute, the response I received was vague and go no answer as to how or why. 3. When calling the support group I was informed the compliance group that handles this doesn't have a phone number or any way to speak with them and only responds to email. So far two of my disputes have had vague nothing that has substantial reasoning and only that a particular assignment I turned in was the disputed upload but, doesn't specify who has the copyright and how it is related.
This platform has been a disappointing experience. As a tutor specializing in Nursing, Biology, Health Science, Nutrition, Pharmacology, and Anatomy, I completed all required verifications, but my account was terminated without explanation. Despite repeated attempts to contact support to withdraw my $900 balance, I received no response. Students may want to consider alternatives. I’m not surprised that customers are losing interest in Course Hero. Recently, I saw a job posting for a tutor position that was open only to applicants from the Philippines and India. This narrow focus seems discriminatory and unfair to qualified tutors from other countries who could add real value to the platform. Limiting opportunities by region not only restricts the diversity of insights available to students but also alienates skilled professionals eager to help. It’s disappointing that Course Hero isn’t embracing a more inclusive, global approach to hiring. For a platform that relies on diverse expertise, this approach feels shortsighted. No wonder customers are exploring better options. Course Hero should focus on making meaningful improvements to both its service and its hiring practices.
When you buy a subscription, the resulting message shows that they will automatically renew it, regardless of whether you want to or not. In addition, I could not find any other accounts pages showing more info on this.
it has nothing to offer people just upload there syllabus for access but its basically just filled with garbage no real content to study from I am disappointed I paid for this
Their worksheets are average at the best. They say free to educators, but then want your money. (about as truthful as Trump.) There are plenty of worksheets for free on the web and usually better quality.
First off I signed up for the $29.99 plan and am being charged $39.99. They won't answer me so I have had to open up a dispute with my credit card company. Also, I cannot get any actual answers. What I get is instructions on how to get the answers. I already have those instructions. I want to know the answers the "experts" come up with so I can compare them. Since April this has been a never ending circle of issues and no actual answers. Course Hero cannot explain it nor will they refund anything. I'm at the point where I can prove all of this and will be request the last six months to be refunded as no actual answers have been provided. Its a waste
Signed up for month to month they charged me 180.00 and refuse to refund it because I looked a at document. Total scam and fraud don't sign up!!!!!!!
1. They charged me for three months in advance when I only wanted to be charger per monthly. 2. I GOT A 78% on my test. So much pay for what?
I was a top rated tutor at Course Hero for past 2 years. One fine day they terminated my tutor account which had almost 250 USD. I have written at least 50 emails everyday and I did not get any reply from them. It is a biggest fraud company I have ever come across in my life. They are stealing hard earned money from tutors. Do not waste your time as a tutor at Course Hero. Currently, I am working at Chegg, which is a genuine company for tutors.
They revoke tutor account and forfeit their money in order to earn. I wish God give them bad possible result and gets permanently closed I also request students that, do not join them at all
I received an email notification of violation and termination. First off I stop giving this site my assignments and exams years ago. Secondly, I have over 2.5k views and comments of how my work assisted people with passing their courses because I actually submitted my exams that I took and passed. So..how do you violate anything when people are using your original work for years. While in grad school I figured let me use them for their subscription because I wasn't able to load any more work to them because I didn't have any I was seeking assistance. Their subscription was horrible because their tutors work/ assistance on questions took days to resolve and when they responded the work was ALL incorrect! I requested my money back and never looked back. So be aware that paid subscribers will get subpar work and worthless unlocks from whomever they have assisting you. I just know personally that I don't use them or rely on any of their work. Years ago they were OK but now it's terrible. Hope this can help someone to avoid them beforehand or you'll receive emails years later stating your in violation and your account is terminated for your actual coursework you've submitted years ago.
I created account as Tutor and all required documents were uploaded but without any justified reason, my application has been regretted, while I passed the prescribed test. This website seems to be fake and malicious and not trustworthy.
Shady!! I signed up for a trial, downloaded one document, decided it wasn’t for me, canceled immediately and they billed me almost $50 and I cannot get it back! Avoid at all costs!!

Find another alternative, especially if you are considering paying for a subscription. Once you subscribe you get to unlock 30 documents per 30 days. Problem is that every document you unlock counts towards that 30, whether they are of value, are accurate, relevant, or even contain any information at all. Worse still you can not tell if the document is of any value until after you unlock it and lose one of your 30 unlocks. Course Hero don't care about quality assurance at all so expect to use up at least half of you unlocks on useless and sometimes gravely inaccurate information. Don't get me started on there customer service - that is an oxymoron!! DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. GO SOMEWEHRE ELSE

I requested them to allow me withdraw my money 1200usd but they did not respond to emails. The worst company ever. Students should boycott this company.
