I started my business with Digital Ocean since 2017 and they didn't fail me on bit, their cloud service is outstanding especially with the addition of AI Inference. Their customer support is also splendid with polite, understanding and professional customer support staff 👌

Extremely disappointed with my experience. My account was locked, and I spent days diligently following their tedious verification process, including providing government-issued IDs for both myself and the payment owner. Despite my full cooperation and transparency regarding my project's use case, I was eventually rejected with a vague, boilerplate response citing 'TOS violations' without a single specific detail. It is incredibly frustrating to invest so much time proving my identity only to be met with zero transparency and a total lack of accountability. They clearly do not value the time of their users

What I loved the most about working with DO is the freedom to explore and develop without constraints. The system is well designed for that purpose so congrats to the engineers responsible. I can only remember one outage of significance over the 10 years Ive worked with DO. Also the snapshot and backup tools make having a fall back position when config or functionality issues can be quickly restored without having to download and upload from offline resources. The ticketing system works really well - in retrospect I should have availed of this opportunity more often. Thanks again for providing this reasonably priced highly adaptable system
After nearly two years of not logging into my DigitalOcean account, I was suddenly charged for a droplet I never created. When I investigated, I discovered DigitalOcean had somehow resurrected a droplet I'd destroyed almost two years earlier and silently started billing me for it again. Deeply concerning from a company handling infrastructure and billing.

Great support, a clean interface and no surprise costs—what's not to like?
As a new customer, my account was initially placed under an activation review, which was understandably frustrating at first. However, after I contacted DigitalOcean Support and provided additional context about my intended use of the platform, my case was carefully reviewed by a real person rather than receiving only automated responses. The activation restriction was removed, and my account was approved. What impressed me most was the professionalism of the support team. They communicated clearly, gave me the opportunity to explain my situation, and were willing to reconsider their initial decision based on the information I provided. I'm currently building my first cloud-based development environment to learn backend development, Docker, and AI-related technologies. After researching beginner-friendly cloud providers, I chose DigitalOcean because of its excellent reputation, documentation, and learning resources.
