The transparency on the billing and the easiness on how to get to aboard the usage and allocation of clusters. DigitalOcean gave me a pleasurable and easy to understand way to aboard my "adventure", to say it in a way, on the cloud computing and the Kubernetes experience. I'm paying what I'm using. Also, their Customer Service is on time and top notch.
I am posting this pure based on my initial experience with their customer ticket support service. I just started with them so don't have long term experience yet. I noticed on day one how they helped me is clear, intelligent and professional. Not like those cheap outsourced customer support in India where nobody knows anything and keep pointing fingers to each other (I mean no offense here). Where it takes days to fix a simple problem. Keep it up DO!

Knowing that a business could go such an extra mile is a breeze. It's shows that I matter as a person above the financial transactions. And that's just on the side of customer service. Extremely disappointed. My account was suspended because of a very short billing delay, and after I paid immediately, I discovered that both of my Droplets had been destroyed. The most frustrating part is that I did not see a proper final warning that my servers would be deleted so quickly, and there was no clear successful attempt to charge my payment card before this happened. These Droplets contained important production data. After payment, my billing balance showed $0.00, but the Droplets were already gone. Backups, snapshots, and custom images are also empty in the control panel, so there is no visible way for me to recover anything myself. For a cloud provider, this is absolutely unacceptable. A short billing issue should not result in customers losing production infrastructure without a very clear escalation, final warning, and reasonable recovery window. I opened a support ticket and I expect DigitalOcean to urgently investigate what happened, explain why both Droplets were destroyed, and provide any possible recovery option. Right now, I cannot recommend DigitalOcean for serious production use if billing-related suspension can lead to destroyed servers this quickly.

Good cloud infrastructure but support can be slow DigitalOcean is a solid choice if you need reliable cloud hosting and fast droplet setup. Their control panel is very clean and documentation is quite detailed for developers. However, my experience with their customer support has been a bit lacking lately. Ticket response times are quite slow on the basic support tier, and resolving a simple billing question took longer than it should have. It's a decent service for tech-savvy users, but they need to improve their help desk speed.
