love hate relationship. we love to buy but selling is a risk, they do not care about sellers unless you have such high volume that then they let those sellers screw the little buyers, but if you are a little seller, then they let buyers completely screw you over
Definitely the worst e-commerce app. The shipping takes forever the customer service is terrible and if you're a seller forget about it they're taking half your money. These people are scum just like the city of San Francisco where they belong. Worthless, probably a pile of turds sitting on the front doorstep of eBay headquarters
Ebay has been scamming sellers on the shipping fees for years. There was a time when sellers were gaming the system, charging low purchase costs and high shipping fees. Ebay was only getting a percent of the sales, not shipping. Changing to a charge on sales and shipping was understandable. Shift to the present day, Ebay is still collecting a percent of the shipping even when they are supplying postage and labels. When you enter size, weight and dimensions how is it possible to scam the system? If you make a mistake on your input, Ebay will charge additional monies to your account. They'll get their pound of flesh one way or another. Ebay's home office is in California. I've learned from experience that it does absolutely little to no good complaining to State agencies. Ebay is a large contributor to the State's tax base and our elected officials are not going to poop where they eat.
As an eBay seller, I was experiencing a payout delay because I didn’t have a payment method on file to cover selling costs. After adding a payment method, I still wasn’t able to withdraw my funds. I contacted eBay Support on July 29, and Jay explained that once a payment method is added, it can take an additional 36 to 72 business hours for the system to refresh, and in some cases up to a week. While I wish the process were faster, I really appreciated Jay’s transparency. He took the time to review the internal documentation for me so I knew the exact timeline to expect the system refresh instead of being left guessing. That clarity made the situation much less frustrating. Also, I'm glad that I am still able to request a call from someone on the eBay website and talk to them whenever I need help. That means a lot and makes a huge difference with customer support!
Most of the time I don't have any issues until recently. A few months i brought some cutting discs for my grinder as I'm putting slabs down in the garden, last week I try to buy the same or similar a different it asking for age verification and the only way to do this is a credit card. I don't have a credit card but I don't see how this works as I or anyone could borrow a friend's or family one. So I purchased from elsewhere which means ebay seller's are losing customers.
I keep trying to unsubscribe & I keep geting a message "service down". I feel like they just don't want to let me unsubscribe. I've avoided ebay for a long time but they had something I couldn't find elsewhere; I won't order from them again.

My package is broken and no one can do…
My package is broken and no one can do anything; I've lost my money.
They lie about money back guarantee. Ordered an item from another country for $30. Paid $17 shipping to get it here. Then UPS needs an additional $42 for import fee. Was never told about fees prior to purchase. Now I’m out $50 for nothing. Never use dficz_2 as a seller there. That seller is a scam.
I've been selling collectibles on eBay for a few years, and it was a great experience up until more recent transactions. 3 out of my last 5 sales, eBay has charged me (the seller) sales tax on the item that I'm selling.
I've emailed eBay 5 times in the past month lettings them know they charged me the sales tax and requesting a refund, but no response.
If you're selling using the eBay platform go back and check your orders. They'll label it under sales tax [saying "this is what we charged the buyer"], but if you add the numbers, they deducted it from your payout as well.
I've been ordering with eBay for years and normally I'm totally satisfied and at one time I felt protected should I need to return an item that just doesn't or didn't meet my satisfaction. I ordered an item that looked nothing like the description of that item. I started a return process as well as asked for a refund. The item was shipped back to eBay over two weeks ago only to not get the refund from the vendor and eBay stated that within 48 hours a decision would be reached. It's been weeks and my $500 has yet to be returned by businleatherhub. I'd never order ever again from them and my confidence to order through eBay based on being protected by scams is highly unlikely as well.
My account was suspended for no reason. I know there was no reason, because I have acted in no way that could even remotely be construed as a viable reason. I was given no notification of the suspension. I received no email, no text, no message in my account inbox, nothing. I was only made aware of the suspension when I tried to buy something and was not allowed to. Contact to support only told me no appeal was available, and the entirety of BBB interactions were what can be described as the most corporate "haha, screw you, deal with it.".... they provide no information on why i was suspended (of course they will not provide any information. they cannot, because there is none, because i have done nothing untoward.) and refuse to offer anything at all showing good faith or any effort at all towards customer retention. The lack of ethics is honestly mind boggling. I hope some other company rises to take the place of this company. No communication, No effort, No support. These are the only properties required of the company, as they are only a facilitator... and yet they fail so incredibly hard at this, I struggle to understand how they are still allowed to facilitate. I highly recommend any buyers or sellers who have any other option, to use those other options.
This is a copy of the review I posted on BBB. Copying here and elsewhere to try and reach the most people... Especially since my interaction with Ebay makes me believe they will disallow it from being posted.
EBay is no longer safe for buyers. I bought an item and the seller said it had already sold and they would refund me. No refund received. There is now absolutely no way to contact anyone from eBay about this. You can talk to AI but this just takes you around and around in circles. You can not raise any issues with eBay - rather you have to wait 30 days to do so, from the information I can glean from eBay - a fraudsters paradise.
I ordered an item from a location in New York. It turned out the seller was actually in Latvia and had some cheap other item dropped shipped to me from Florida. Ebay wouldn't protect me saying a delivery was made. My credit card company reversed the purchase for me. Scammers throughout.
Hello, I ordered Skincu ANTI-AGING BODY OIL, but I received an oil that isn't Skincu and whose ingredients aren't the same as the original oil. The first ingredients listed in the one I received are water and glycerin, whereas in the original, they are: Mineral oil, sweet almond oil, rose moschata (rosehip) seed oil, rosemary leaf oil, ginger root oil, and vitamin E. What a disappointment!
OK but I do wish customer service was based in the states
OK, so I like the platform there’s a lot of positives. I do feel like you get a good amount of reach for the things you’re selling or trying to buy. Here’s the drawback. The only reason I didn’t give them a higher score is customer service is abysmal when you have issues with your account or you just have questions you shuffle around the chat but is very hard to use when you do try to get a hold of a real person. It’s nearly impossible and they’re in another country and there’s a huge language barrier and learning curve. You get the feeling that they’re given a script and if you deviate from that script, my goodness they are just completely not able to help you which is not ideal, especially if you’re older. It’s just not the easiest platform to use, but overall not a terrible website. I just wish they would invest in more on shore customer service.

eBay has lots of scammers
eBay has lots of scammers, this company provides a platform from crooks to steal and sell junk online, I lost $500 on a boat that they refuse to refund
Customer service, well there is none. I’ve had numerous authentic items flagged after sell prior to payout . eBay does not allow you to speak with a human. The automated ai assistance can not give you all the answers you need nor look into the problem. It does not let you appeal the decision or submit proof. Now the buyers have the item for free. It’s really disappointing that such a large platform doesn’t have better protection for its sellers. Buyers should be obligated to return the items if the sell could not go through due to eBay’s error.

Ebay ia like buying in the late 1900…
Ebay ia like buying in the late 1900 where everything was new online. Is so lame. It takes sellers 4-5 days to ship items, they provide fake ups and usps tracking numbers just to get the order marked shipped. You contac lt ebay and they dont care they just let it go. Is insane.
