My 10 year old son had a great time. It was really special to get to sleep in the dorms and experience some college-like moments and make some new friends. The projects the staff had them do were neat too, especially designing an amusement park ride, complete with building permit. 😁
The price is really quite high, so unfortunately, it is likely to be the first and last time with this program, solely due to affordability.

I loved the idea of the program, but there were issues. The first day students arrived an hour late and parents were not notified at all by phone call, text, or email. Many students ran out of water and were dying on a very long way back. The second day, students were late thirty mins for pick up (no book work done like the agenda states). Third day students did not go to the FDR memorial and were in the bus a very long time (barely any book work like the agenda dictated). Fourth day was ALL classroom with no excursions which was extreme in the other aspect as they are on summer break not school.
Program would be better suited in Washington DC to save on a lot of transportation issues.

There wasn't great communication, my daughter said one teacher was mean and muttered "why is she here, she's asks too many questions", she didn't learn nearly what I'd hoped she would. She was in a dorm that kept getting forgotten, they had to scan and to call a teacher to pee from the opposite end of the hall, it was more of a summer camp vs invitational learning environment.

This was fabulous for my daughter's self-esteem and she was excited to go everyday. She made friends and she was challenged to do a couple of things that I don't think she would have otherwise done. I do think it's a bit pricey, but overall it was a great experience for my daughter and our family.

Communication prior to the event was wonderful. However the experience itself ended up being a let down. Rushing through each and every memorial, getting cut short at Mount Vernon and completely missing the 4D movie bc we were the last group and ran out of time was a bummer. We also were promised a picture opportunity with white house but instead we were hauled off with no explanation if it not working bc of construction. Also we were told to bring bags along for snacks and fan and sunscreen. But each day was told to keep them on bus so we didnt have to go through security. That made it super difficult for me to handle my lady needs throughout the day. Plus leaving my wallet unattended on the bus made me feel very uneasy and it left me withot the opportunity to purchase souvenirs. I enjoyed seeing the memorials but would never recommend the experience to anyone. For what we paid it did not feel worth it. Our advisor was difficult to communicate with due to his extreme lack of understanding and speaking English.

My child loved the camp and meeting all the kids. He said it was more fun than school. The price for camp was alittle much. It was as much as 1 semester as grad school. Sign in and out was a little disorganized.

Staffed by the kindest, most helpful people. The kids had a blast. My one complaint is the lack of healthy food options, but it’s possible my kid just didn’t understand all the options.

The Envision CIA Experience was exactly what our daughter needed to validate her desire to pursue a career in Culinary Arts.
