Personable, but not very fair

People were very helpful and personable. As a woman, I am often wary of car places because I know they will often try to charge higher rates assuming you don’t know much. Well, truth be told, I don’t know much. That’s why I have always trusted Express Oil ever since I got my first car. I do think they overcharged me for a brake change, which is frustrating as brakes are pretty nonnegotiable. I don’t know if that was any one particular person's fault. I always choose to believe that people have my best intentions in mind and I do hope that this is truly what it cost. I do think it could’ve been done much lower cost, which is what I have been told by everyone after I paid. I probably wouldn’t recommend this location, but as I mentioned I’ve had good service and good experience at other Express Oils. Disappointed, but hoping they meant well.

Amazing and personable service!! Kind workers!

I came in today to get help with my break light, right away Eric helped me with the process. Everyone is very patient, kind, and helpful and the service is quick and efficient. The person I worked with Eric was so nice and personable he helped me with my light right away and was patient throughout the whole process. I will most definitely be coming back for when I need maintenance on my car!

Highly Recommend

After seeing positive reviews for Express Oil Change in Elizabeth City, I decided to give them a try for myself by scheduling an oil change. I was very impressed with the setup and cleanliness of the bays. Everyone was very polite and they all worked together as a team. Rather than just changing my oil and sending me on my way, I was informed of some issues they discovered during their inspection. Tyler and Fernando were awesome and very patient in answering any questions I had. I will definitely be going back and highly recommend them.

I've used them for years. The staff is always friendly, but Express Oil has gotten REALLY bad about sneaky business practices. We've got a 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe. We have to use the mid grade oil (it's not conventional oil and it's not the high end "synthetic" oil...I believe they call it "high milage" oil which is a blend maybe?). The coupon we had said that level of oil would be $64.95 with the coupon. However it had a qualifier that it was only good for 5 quarts of oil. Our car (like many modern cars) takes 6 quarts. They wound up bumping the cost by $30 due to that additional quart and they claimed that type of oil required a super expensive oil filter. Come on guys. You already lowered the oil change mileage from 5000 miles between changes to 3000 miles. Give your customers a break.

Something is amiss here

Something is amiss here. Brought my car for inspection (Registration renewal) and was told my belt needed replacement! I thought it was strange because my car is just 8 years old. He said it was $217 to repair it and that it took one hour, but I had errands to run so I couldn't wait that long. I said I 'll be back another day. He failed my inspection because of the "belt damage." The following day I took my car to another mechanic and he said my belt was just fine! Furthermore, they had had other customers with the same "issue" coming from this shop. He even asked, did you go to Express Oil Change on Westover? I said, yup! Needless to say, I'll never be back.

I need more stars

I need more stars! These guys were really good they were so good with their teamwork and communication with each other with me they were very polite. They just treated me so well I felt very comfortable with them working on my car they gave me some tips and some advice in a really nice friendly way. I don't want to ever go anywhere else to get my oil changed! The guy up top Bryce was wonderful friendly and knowledgeable. The guy down in the pit his name started with a c or a k had gorgeous curly hair awesome guy took really good care of my car and told me about some things to watch out for. They were all super nice. They said more than once that they were going to take care of me and I absolutely felt like they were.

Got an oil change

Got an oil change, brake pads and rotors. Was there 5 hours for that. Price was well over original quoted Price, they did take some of it off. Had to come back just after leaving because the transfer case shifter linkage was messed up. Then had to wait another day to get that fixed. Luckily my boss allowed me the extra day off without penalty, but it cost me a days pay. They are currently working on it and hopefully it is resolved properly. Friendly staff otherwise.

My coupon was misleading but explained patiently and professionally by my technician. His service was awesome...it was an extremely hot day but he handled providing excellent service through his sweat with a smile. Great job Drew at the Sandy Springs location. You are appreciated.

Didn’t tighten the bolts

My son took our Toyota Tundra here while I was at work and my husband was out of town. We needed the oil changed before going out of town. We realized a week later the driveway had oil from the leaking truck. My husband climbed under the truck and the bolts were not even tightened. We drove a long way and all the oil is gone! So dangerous on an expensive truck! Will not be back!!!

my tire on my right side at the back goes out from time to time and normally i would go here to get air in it. every time i go Xavier who is the manager and one the employees named george always helps me out with no problem they’re both really nice and professional i definitely would recommend to keep going there if u have any problems.
