Fafrees F20 Pro

I’ve been testing the Fafrees F20 Pro for several days and overall I think it offers good value for a folding fat-tyre e-bike. The bike feels solid and stable, and the 20x3.0 tyres give a comfortable ride on rough roads and paths. Hill climbing is also better than expected for a hub motor bike, with the motor pulling steadily even on steep hills. My main criticism is the gearing. The standard 48T chainring feels too small for road riding, so cadence becomes too fast quite quickly even in the highest gear. I upgraded to a 52T chainring, which improved the riding experience, although I think slightly taller gearing would suit this bike even better. The pedal assist system also feels quite basic. The PAS levels seem mainly speed-based rather than torque-based, so on steep hills there is little noticeable difference between assist levels at low speed. The display and settings menu can also be confusing because some settings do not behave as expected compared with standard S866 displays. Overall though, the F20 Pro is comfortable, capable, and enjoyable for relaxed riding, especially if you value stability and compact folding convenience.

Bad efficiency over time

At the start of using the bike if was great with the battery lasting long and speed going up a mountain was good. But what i hate is that only 1 to 2 months using the bike speed and and battery efficiency has decreased nearly half. Such a disappointment. I hate it so much!

Value for money and responsive customer service

I conducted extensive comparisons on a number of similar models across different brands, and the Fafrees F20+ bike has all of the features of other folding e-bikes on the market, but at a fraction of the cost. When I had an issue with the left crank arm, Fafrees sent a replacement left crank arm and pedal immediately with no fuss.

faulty charger

the battery would not charge when i received the bike i found it to be a faulty charger i had sent many emails to which i got a reply 5 days later asking me to film charging process for proof i had already replaced the charger at more cost and sent it to uk trading standards as a fire risk (it started to melt)

On PAS 2, hold handlebars FIRMLY.

The Fafrees F20 mate, upgraded version with 23.45ah battery gets 5 stars from me, even though there are aspects that are not in this trike's favour. This tricycle is tough; the frame girth is stout and solid and it reminds me of a vehicle and not a pedal trike. Well built with features that excel many other powered tricycle brands. However, it is LARGE. In assessing it via the ad' photos, i did not take note of the height of the models riding or stood beside it. Being 5'4" in height, it is large. As well as its' size, it is weighty, even minus the 23.45ah battery and baskets, but, you know, that is a good thing, i would say. The manufacturer should include handle bars that curve toward you, as an option. The design doesn't have to be like the traditional Dutch bike handlebars but with the focus on them being nearer to you, particularly if you are 5'4" or don't have a long arm reach. Or a design that allows for the handlebars to be adjusted closer to the rider. The seat with backrest is a fantastic inclusion and it is broad and reasonably comfortable for an 18kg weight person. However, the back rest has one setting and will not extend further back when needed, for larger bottomed folk. This could be resolved by having the back rest fitted ( but removable) and the seat on a sliding part, rather than a pole, to slide further forward as required - this, too, would address the reach to handlebars. So, all that said, when on PAS 1 the force is hardly noticeable on level ground or inclines but on PAS 2, WHOOSH, BE SURE TO HAVE A FIRM GRIP OF THE HANDLES: the rider is propelled at a force. PAS2 is as far as i have dared to venture and it has 5 PAS levels! Yes, the Fafrees F20 mate (23.45ah battery) tricycle is POWERFUL, it is sturdy and will carry you for miles and miles on a charge ( which i have yet to find out). Out of all the big brand names i had researched over the months, this has the more powerful motor and high grade tech as standard for all the battery levels. The press button horn is not embarassing: has a descent commanding hoot. I trust this review has been of much help to you.

Good value folding e-bike

Very impressed with Farfrees in terms of information, price, ordering and delivery. UK-F20 Light folding e-bike was well packaged and delivered very quickly. Self assembly was easy and quick. Design and components look good for a bike in this price range. Took it for a trial run today and handles well with powerful acceleration. My wife loves the bike and looking forward to taking it out for a longer run. Thanks.

Hello Over all the F20 Mate HS seems…

Hello Over all the F20 Mate HS seems OK, It has a great look about it, The factory inspection is not good as there are paint splakes on one fender and before it had its final paint job some one put there finger on another fender and the oil on there finger made the paint work bubble up as in photos, Apart from that I’m not happy with Fafrees charging 529 for another battery and I am buying same one for 200 euros less....... I can’t try the e-Moped as it is call in Ireland, I’m waiting for registration Tax and insurance.....all takes time in OK for Summer.. Main reason for choosing this one one NO GEARS,.. Gears are a pain in the butt to get right so no gears great.. The catch between both half’s of the F20 Mate, could do with being a bit tighter, as its a bit all over the place, but I’m not worry about that as, it is not good as a folding one, you’ll need a large van or pickup to carry around...... So far I give it 95%... Just those few thing to sort out at the Factory. ‘’O’’ yes and Please stop saying Item Delivered, when it was not, it was delivered 2 days after you say it was delivered. OK just a small thing but when your excited and it don’t turn up not good. Over all Thank you.

Let me just give you the bare facts

Let me just give you the bare facts: My Fafrees F20Pro EBike is faulty with a "E08" fault code, since September 2025. Now is March 2026, and after having sent them 14 Emails since then, after repeatedly having sent them detailed photos to identify the bike and the fault, after paying them money for spare parts, I STILL HAVE NO FUNCTIONING BIKE. I am through with Fafrees, and with buying cheap chinese stuff.

Ordered a bike, did not get delivered.

Ordered a bike. Almost got delivered. Then it got sent back to Fafrees. For no apparent reason. Trying to communicate with them what is happening and when I can expect my bike. Got no reply. Now it's three weeks since I ordered my bike. But I still have not received it. No replies on questions, no status update. Paid for something which never got delivered.

F700-M Review

You always have to keep an eye on the price. We're not talking about a bike that costs 3,000 € or more. But under 1k , NEW! On this its really well made, visually very appealing and with good riding characteristics. Yes, the mudguards rub and are made of cheap-looking plastic (you can get new ones from SKS for 30.- ). Yes, the battery is not very powerful, especially at low temperatures (level 1 maximum 50 km). But it's still a good e-bike for a really good price.

14 Months Old and Already E-Waste

Don't expect support after one year. My battery died just after the 12-month mark. Fafrees is hiding behind a self-made '1-year warranty' to ignore the mandatory 2-year EU legal guarantee. Customer service refuses to explain the defect and simply wants more money for a replacement. A premium product should last more than 14 months. Terrible support, zero accountability, and a complete disregard for Dutch consumer protection laws. Buy elsewhere / Order SP6982
