I am filing this as a formal complaint, not a mere review. Gametime charged me $294.00 for tickets to a show that was postponed—not canceled—yet the venue (Soaring Eagle) is offering full refunds to original purchasers, meaning Gametime is unjustly retaining my funds while providing no service, in direct breach of contract and unjust enrichment. Worse, at checkout I was charged an additional $20.61 for 'protection,' but when I contacted Gametime, they explicitly stated they do not offer ticket protection—this is a deceptive billing practice and a clear violation of the Michigan Consumer Protection Act (MCL 445.903), which prohibits unfair and unconscionable trade practices. I demand a full refund of $314.61 within 48 hours, or I will file complaints with the Michigan Attorney General, initiate a credit card chargeback, and pursue relief in small claims court for treble damages under the MCPA. This is not a negotiation—this is notice of a statutory violation.

My ticket arrived late. That’s not my opinion — Gametime’s own email acknowledged it. I requested a refund and was denied. I asked for escalation to a manager; the agent resisted, then agreed. The denial that came back was sent by that same agent. Whether a manager ever saw it, I have no way of knowing — and that’s the problem. I tried again. The second agent was warm and apologetic across several long messages, then landed on the same answer: final sale, no exceptions, resell it yourself. So the customer absorbs the cost of Gametime’s delivery failure, and Gametime collects a second commission if it resells. A “final sale” policy is defensible when the seller holds up their end. It isn’t a shield for your own documented failure. Every company has discretion in cases like this. Gametime chose not to use it. The empathy is abundant and scripted. The accountability is nonexistent. If nothing goes wrong with your order, you’ll never notice. If something does, you’re on your own.
Deals are great. Been to the most games ever this season because of the amazing ticket prices!!! The checkout process is easy-to-use! Definitely the best app for game tickets i have ever used!
