It worked perfect. Only that when i tried to active it manually instead of scanning..because i cant scan it with the same phone i have the app on..i didnt work because the phone asks you for an activation code that the app does not provide. But when i managed to activate it through the qr code it worked perfectly.

Once I got it to work, it worked well. The one issue is that the instructions for connecting to the gigsky sim did not assist me. There were few gaps in connectivity. Furthermore, adding credit was instantaneous.

I used GigSky in Canada for 10 days through the free 15-day, 3GB plan offered with my Visa Infinite card. Overall, the service was okay, so I would give it 4 stars. I really liked having the option to use an eSIM for free while traveling, and the activation and setup were fairly straightforward. However, I found the connection to be slow on many occasions, which was a bit frustrating, especially when I needed to use mobile data while out and about. The service is not bad at all, but I think it could be much better in terms of connection speed and consistency. Still, the 15-day benefit included with Visa Infinite is definitely a nice perk.

The complimentary data plan worked well. It kicked in as soon as my other paid Cruise+Europe plan expired. But the Cruise+Europe plan itself was not worth the extra cost for the cruise part, as nothing (email, social media, apps, browsers, etc.) worked at all after the ship left port until we reached the next port. So nothing on seadays at all! Even the GigSky app itself didn't work!

I paid for top up but it ended using my 10gbs that I wanted to save for my bigger trip. Not the best, the weksite was very confusing and not as user friendly as other esims I've used when traveling.
